Picked up bagels last week off to good to go. They bagels were so fresh and big. Well worth the price.

This place has a good variety. The service was very friendly. Although I repeated my order a few times, I did get the wrong item, but I still ate it because I felt bad because the gentleman who made it was so nice. A local stop in the Westgate Mall. Decent selection of bagels and bagel sandwiches. Affordable meals with down to earth and polite staff. It's a good stop for a quick bite. Plenty of nonalcoholic beverages to go. Pretty clean. I'd be happier with a little more hand washing behind the counter but for the most the plastic gloves are on. I had the veggie bagel sandwich on a sun dried tomato bagel. Plenty of veggies with a good heap of cream cheese. Sun chips and a water completed the meal. It was all good and would be a common stop for me if I was here more often. read more

Went to Johnny's Schoenersville on a whim for a sandwich at lunch. What a rip-off. A ton of options on the board, so I picked up the menu on the counter. Ordered grilled chicken salad on whole wheat. 2 slices of sandwich bread, a scoop of watery chicken salad with carrot chunks in it, a leaf of lettuce and no lie, a slice of white tomato included a small bag of chips. Sandwich and a bottle of water rang up $16.75!!! I questioned the price discrepancy on the menu and was told that the menu was pre covid and the owner hasn't gotten around to ordering new ones. The woman running the place re-rang me up and charged $14.95. Explains why the place was empty at lunch on a Friday. read more

Im not upset, I'm just disappointed! I have been a loyal customer to all Bethlehem locations and usually very happy with the food! Service is always hit or miss but I always have an HERBY TURKEY and enjoy every bite. This time was TERRIBLE! There was American Cheese on it, No sundried tomato spread and a stingy portion of turkey. I didn't feel like going back to complain as I already waited 20 minutes. Hubby and I came here to pick up some breakfast bagels. We were very pleased with the quality of the bagels. Nice and crisp on the outside and moist and chewy on the inside. Just like a bagel should be. I had an onion bagel with cream cheese, lox and tomato. It was delicious Could have used a bit more lox but the prices were really reasonable so I can't really complain. Service is a bit hectic. Just two guys trying to take the orders, prepare the orders and serve them. They kept forgetting what we ordered and had to keep asking. Hubby was a bit frustrated by this. In the end though, the order was correct and we had a delicious breakfast. read more

Usually the best bagels in Bethlehem PA. My wife's family is from NJ and they are picky about their bagels, and they approve of Johnny's. You usually can't go wrong with any type of bagel. I particularly enjoy a breakfast sandwich with pastrami. The last time however I went I went for a bagel with cream cheese. I thought the bagel was a little off almost like it wasn't made that morning. I know we are in different times with the virus but I hope they are not trying to pass yesterday's bagels as today's. I don't often update reviews but it his place deserves 5 stars. I infrequently pass by but if it's remotely close to breakfast or lunchtime I make a point of stopping. The guys are hardworking and friendly, and the sandwiches are just plain GOOD! Nothing super fancy. Nothing to qualify for a cooking show award. In the blackhole that is the Westgate Mall there are only two places worth visiting: Subway and Johnny's Bagels. I've stopped in during the morning rush several times to pick up something for the lovely wife before she leaves for work and overall I can't say that I've been burnt yet. They have several bagel flavors which are made on site, a decent drink selection of various coffee and non-coffee items, and their bagels and bagel sandwiches just simply taste good. They do have a fairly large menu of lunch time offerings but I have never been during that time to be able to rate the quality of those offerings. Going to Subway would be quicker since they never have anyone there for the first hour between 7am-8am but the sandwiches at Johnny's actually have flavor and that flavor is enough to justify the, at times, long wait from only one person working. read more

The bagels are good, the breakfast sandwiches are sub par, and the service is garbage. They don't write anything down so you repeat your order multiple times. Asking for anything at this location feels like you're asking too much, like their job isn't to toast bagels - literally. Order one bagel? Ok they'll manage. Order two and they're making faces like you're asking them to read you a bedtime story. 2+ and you might as well go elsewhere unless you love the feeling of pissing people off. I ordered an iced coffee, I got an empty cup. I go to the back to pour the coffee and the Ice. No ice in the machine and the coffee was visibly old, and obviously old by taste. If you really want to get nit picky, they surely have never dusted anything in the place. Would question if they've passed their health inspections. Service issues. Gentlemen that helped me were very nice and helpful that being said I left feeling ripped off. I ordered a bagel with lox to go which was listed at 499 on the menu board and got an iced tea also. They charged me $11. They gave me a salad that I didn't ask for also so I'm assuming they sold me some meal when all I wanted was the bagel. When I pushed and ask for a receipt they pretended that they did not know how I said can you ask someone and he just stood there pressing buttons and said he couldn't print a receipt. I feel like they overcharged me and didn't want to give me a receipt. It is such a struggle to get decent service at Johnny's in Westgate. I sometimes forget the poor service and go back - only to be disappointed again. Yes, the bagels and cream cheese are good, coffee is OK, but the service and cleanliness is horrible. Ok, there can be a language barrier, but I can jump in with my Spanish, not a problem, but ... there doesn't have to be a curtesy and customer service barrier. They have frequently got my order wrong - only to find out when I'm out in the car and driving away. Maybe if the staff would just turn to the customer, look them in the eye and confirm the order instead of quickly turning away, maybe to get the coffee and JUST NOT LISTENING TO THE ORDER. It's pretty simple. I'll avoid the place - until I forget when I'm on Schoersville - and head back in thinking "it can't be that bad" -- it pretty consistently is that bad. read more

Johnny's has always been a go-to for lunch. Its conveniently located and fair with the prices. We ordered a cheese steak and chicken cheese steak. On the cheese steak, I got everything I asked for. Meat, cheese, onion, and hot peppers with sauce. The onion was messed up, I asked for raw onion, but was given cooked onion. I had more onion and pepper than I did meat. I must've had about 2-3 oz. of meat on a large sandwich. I was basically eating bread. What also could've been better was the bread on a WARM sandwich, was not toasted, which then made the bread extremely soggy. On the chicken cheese steak, the chicken was not chipped meat, it was chicken diced and thrown into a sandwich. To me this is not a chicken cheese steak, it is a chicken sandwich. We asked for Onion and cheese. On the chicken cheese steak, we received onion, sauce, peppers and spinach, also on an untoasted roll and the sandwich was soggy as can be. Johnny's had always treated us well and has always been good otherwise, but these two cheese steaks honestly are the WORST cheese steaks we have ever had. read more

You know, I am torn between Johnny's and 3 Men and a Bagel down the street. Today I chose Johnny's, usually never disappointed! Both place crack fresh eggs, 3 Men is all microwave but Johnny's cooks right in front of you on flatgrill. There is always a line because the breakfast sandwiches are usually always top notch, service fast and always pleasant every time despite being so busy. Yummy! A Jersey girl transplant, I've always been disappointed with local bagels. Today, I was craving a bagel with nova and schmear . I'd completely forgotten about the Westgate location and it was kismet when hubby, my daughter and I drove by while muttering about our hunger. I had a generous pile of nova on my bagel with light cream cheese , cucumber and onion. Hubby had a Rueben and daughter , her own wacky , teenaged brainstorm of an omelet that they made to order for her. All delicious, reasonably priced and filling. We had a short wait bc of the lunch crowd, but didn't mind as the staff was lovely! Will be back! Note that this establishment does not carry pork products, so be prepared for turkey bacon etc. I don't eat pork so it doesn't bother me at all. Just a tip! read more

Got a cheesesteak omelette. Guy drops the spatchula on the ground rinsed it off briefly in water (not even hot water) wipes it off with a rag and returns to making the omelet. The steak meat used possibly looked frost bitten when he placed it on the grill. Lets just say this was the last experience I wish to have here. I regret even eating part of the omelet but as tired/hungry as I was and good previous experiences I mistakenly gave the benefit of the foubt and will probably have some type of stomach issues today. The name is deceiving because this place has way more than just bagels. Their menu is huge! They have hot/cold sandwiches, panini's, bagel sandwiches, and even sub sandwiches. You're almost overwhelmed when you see the menu. I tried Jenna's Spicy Chicken Panini. The chicken was cooked perfectly and very juicy. Add in the melted cheese with peppers and a tomato, and you've got a great sandwich. The ciabatta bun was the perfect match for the sandwich. I was very happy and satisfied with my meal. read more

Went there with friends from out of town. Ordered gyros, they messed up almost each of our orders. The owner is great if he helps you, the newer help has been bad with messing up the orders. My gyro had a tad of sauce and barely any meat. If you can't remember the orders of the people in line, write them down. Johnny's holds a special place in my heart. The food is always wonderful. I get an egg and cheese on an everything bagel almost every day, and it's all I could ever ask for. Two eggs fried on a flat top grill, a few slices of cheese placed between them, then set on a toasted bagel. The drinks from the refrigerators are a bit pricey, but the fountain drinks and food are set at a good price. The last few times I've gone I've gotten lunch items and been disappointed. Today I got a wrap and it was anything but good. It didn't taste fresh and was slightly soggy. It even came with ingredients that weren't listed in the menu and turns out I am allergic the chefs personal additions. It came with pasta salad which tasted like something had fermented. Hands down the best bagel spot in the Lehigh Valley. These New York style bagels are chewy and are loaded with flavor. When I moved to Philly I used to drive up and get some from here since philly style bagels are garbage. Service is always fast and friendly and the sandwiches are incredible. I ordered a toasted bagel with honey walnuts cream cheese.terrible customer service than once I had bitten in to the bagel I had to pull a long white stringy fuzz out of the sand which it must have been from a dirty rag from the back. I brought it up to show and an employee took it and threw it on the floor without even showing the manager. Than shooed me away. I just wish they would've been more understanding.
