I have been asked to go to Bagels on the Corner in Bangor by so many people. I tried once and naturally it was the one day a week they're closed. I finally made it out on a day they're open...and I was rewarded handsomely. This is The Fat Boy! Sausage, bacon, Jersey meat (I don't care what you call it, save yourself the few words typed), eggs, cheese, and a hash brown. I ordered it on an egg bagel. Menu price is $10.95 and this was my breakfast and also my lunch. The bagel was a little doughy for my liking, but I didn't get it toasted so maybe that would have changed it a bit. Everything else was delicious. No SK for anyone who is curious, but I did add some P. I don't love ketchup on eggs, and with that many breakfast meats you do not need salt. This is supposed to be a Taylor ham and cheese sandwich, that magically had egg on it. I asked for my Taylor ham to be well done not all done! I'm pregnant and this sandwich turned out to be a $8 snack. Usually the food there is great. But today whoever was cooking should never cook again. read more

I'm so glad to see there's a bagel shop back in this area. Stopped in early on a Saturday morning to find the place very busy, even shortly after 7 - a good sign. I got a variety of bagels and cream cheese to go. They have a wide variety of both items and everything was delicious. Bagels are just as they should be - fresh and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Looking forward to returning to try some of the hot breakfast offerings and other sandwiches. read more

Went here and bought a dozen bagels, and was not impressed. The bagels were thick and they didn't have the crunchy exterior with soft center, like good bagels do . They also offer sandwiches and coffee, which I didn't try. I found the bagels to be very filling and I only had a Half of one! Maybe with trial and error and time they will improve, but for now I 'm going to give them a good amount of time before I try them again. read more

The breakfast sandwich is good. What's not good is the wait time. I was told 20 minutes initially which I thought was kind of crazy. That quickly turned into a 45 minute wait. I did not like that at all. Will be back but I will call the day before to make sure I don't have to wait. read more

Wait is always too long small orders such as a bagel or one item. my order is always a bagel toasted w/cream cheese. they never toast the bagels, and the reason I ask for toasted is because their bagels are always stale. so I usually end up paying for a bagel that gives me jaw cramps. prices are not bad for what you pay for. large drink selection, a lot of options on the menu. coffee is never really made around the clock. it's just when they have it. read more

Quality Full service bagel deli. Very much needed for the area. Ordered a pork roll egg and cheese on a salt bagel, also grabbed a blueberry crumb cake. Both were awesome. Competitive pricing to other breakfast sandwiches in the area which only a couple other businesses have, however those guys don't have quality bagels. Only suggestion for them would be work on efficiency, was awesome to see they had a pretty large staff, but Once they start calling out orders things should move a bit faster. I called in my order and it was ready and sitting on the counter when I got there to pick it up, but I still had to wait in line for ten minutes at least while they took orders from the line. What is the point of ordering ahead if you still have to wait in line. Very good food but very rude staff. Called in for orders and it's like they don't want to be bothered being on the phone. Their offering of curbside pick up during this pandemic is somewhat of a joke. First, if you do get your order in, they don't want to take the time to get your credit card payment. Second, they are extremely rude on the phone if they even answer the phone at all. When picking food up, they don't answer and this makes you either leave with no food or you have to go into the building. Why even offer curbside if you can't even answer the phone? If there is not enough help in this establishment, it's time to hire more and definitely train staff to be just a little nicer on the phone. Its like talking to spoiled teenagers. Before the Covid-19 Pandemic, my mom and I would come here every weekend for egg sandwiches and extra bagels to eat throughout the week. But as soon as we started going again (once we felt safe to do so of course) it was like the employees forgot how to handle customers. When calling to place my order, the woman who answered was incredibly rude. They also implied, again in a rude tone, that they were too busy to bring out food items, when they clearly stated on their social media that curbside pickup was an option. I would've waited patiently, but her tone of voice threw me off right away and I no longer wanted to pick up my items. This happened on two separate occasions. After taking a break, I wanted to try the store again, this time with online ordering. It was great the first time, but recently when I placed an order, I received a text saying something wasn't right and to call the store to fix the issue, thinking that they were out of a certain bagel I ordered, which I knew wouldn't be a big problem. It happens, I understand, so I called right after getting the text, and nobody answered. I called continuously for 20 minutes and still no answer, so I gave up and ordered from a different restaurant. This used to be my favorite place to get breakfast, but these past few months have been very disappointing. The food is delicious but the customer service has been getting progressively worse. I understand that the circumstances of the pandemic are not ideal, but is it really that difficult to be nice on the phone or to pick up the phone in between customers? My family and I won't be coming here for a while. We need a break and unfortunately I think Bagels on the Corner does too. read more

Ordered $25 worth of sandwiches. Waited 25 minutes and was asked what I ordered anyway. Three employees working and no customers when we walked in, yet coffee was out....had to ask to refill. When asked how long it would be we were told "there's a timer on the machine you can see it" from a girl leaning on her hand at the counter. Another man said his coffee was cold from the machine and the girl took it from him, threw it away without a word. Meanwhile the egg sandwich part of my order sat on the counter getting cold while I waited for a simple grilled chicken sandwich. Multiple customers waiting with me received poor customer service in various ways. I asked if my 3 year old could use the bathroom with an emergency and was told no. This place is not ready to handle multiple customers, multiple orders, or common sense customer service. Too bad.... we would have made them a regular stop bc close to home. read more
