Single burger order
Gene D.

In the middle of riding Roller Coasters, me and my bud needed a place to get a quick eat. We were just looking for whatever was close and this place, Johnny Rockets was in sight. For some reason, everything in the theme park is overpriced. I don't really understand why but that is just how things are. Due to this, I had to buy the rocket single and share it with my bud to save money. Waiting times are understandable since the rides in the park can go up to 2 hours. The food itself is all right, nothing special. The so called special sauce in the burger did add some flavor, but not enough to call it good. Rather, this place is best seen as a joint to get a quick bite and hop back on the rides.

There aren't many affordable food choices in this park. We already knew this but it's too much trouble to go back out just to eat and cone back in especially since parking is far for this park. Looking at the prices here it wasn't too bad. It ended up being cheaper if we forgo the family meal deal they had and buy some baskets or plates which came with fries because we already had refillable drink bottles for season passholders. It was still expensive but a better deal. I would give 2 stars like many reviewers because it took about 45 minutes to get our food. Our son n dad was able to ride a ride faraway and still came back in time for lunch. We almost missed the Drench show because it took so long but good thing we can bring food in to watch while you munch. The Drench stadium is just next door to this. This place is slow slow. There were 3 windows open but they still made each order on the spot and each order was like for many people in their parties so of course it took awhile. Anyways it took that long :/ But I am being generous in giving 3 stars because the food was fresh and hot. The fries were good and the cheeseburgers were big. The chicken strips were actually good, big and not processed. There is seating behind the stall but not much to avoid the wind, sun n cold but again their shows allow you to bring in food so you can always take it in there and not fear about missing a show since the line here was so long. If we ever come back I think we would hit here again just because it's edible for the price. But jump in line when it's shorter.

Ridiculous, lunch time for the dining pass is only open from 11-3:30. We got in line at 2... We have been in line for 20 minutes and have only moved up a bit. We definitely should of came sooner lol. Weird they only have one window open when this is the busy time of time.

Ready to wait that long for your food?

It's not a secret that Six Flags food service is tediously slow. The question I've pondered is it deliberate to slow down season dining pass holders or is it just a result of their unwillingness to hire or train competent employees. (They use a foreign worker trick to get cheap employees without having to worry about them exiting their job) There's so many simple things they could do to improve I have to believe it's deliberate slowness.... Though more likely through the structure than a blatant statement. Pagers, a digital number screen or simply taking folks cell numbers and texting them with a designated phone would be an improvement. Then those waiting don't have to stand in the sun to hear their number called out without amplification. Waiting for 40-60 minutes for your food is really not acceptable at a theme park stand is really not acceptable. Half an hour would've left them with two stars because the food is actually pretty good... But the wait is atrocious.

Horrible long line. Over an hour wait and still not able to order. Closing windows as well. Not fun.

Best place at Six Flags. Workers are friendly, and even if it's a busy day at the park I can see that they are trying their best

Absurdly long wait times. 100% clear that no one here has a sense of timeliness or service. Feels like being in a Soviet bread line.

Ask the Community - Johnny Rockets

How do I get Yelp to take down the misleading photos posted by the business? A few months back I spent around an hour reporting the photos showing booth seating and table service. The misleading photos are still up.

Well first you have to make sure it is not okay with their content guidelines, Then you have to be logged in to your account (witch you are) then you have to report it to the moderators, If you have already reported it then you will have to contact…

Fantastic breakfast spot! The country fried steak was excellent--crispy, flavorful, and cooked…read moreperfectly. Portions are huge, the food came out surprisingly fast, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and an all-around solid American breakfast experience. Let's support small businesses in America--they are the heart of our communities. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back!

Been here a few times and the food was decent and all. Obviously get their donuts from another…read morebakery or distributor, but that's how it goes some places. Now for the reason I'm even writing this. We walked in this morning with my children getting cranky because they were sitting around with me waiting for our tires to get changed before we came here. Anyways, I let my two youngest children choose theirs then my two older ones were taking a moment (actually moment as in you can measure the time with less than a handful of seconds) some lady leans over the counter to the worker and asks for a donut, the worker obliged (no problem) then the worker put the tongs down to go ring the lady who cut in the middle of us ordering. Maybe I'm getting old and this is the new way of doing business but I'll be dammed if I go out my way to spend the money I make while having to be apart from my family only to have another person take over the service I was receiving! I will never return here and give them the opportunity to disrespect me or my family again! Funny enough as I'm walking out some random guy hears me cussing out loud and yells over to me "that f$&king lady huh!?" lol how does everyone but me know they have horrible customer service here!? My fault for not knowing I drove off and realized my two youngest still had their individually bagged donuts (2 total donuts) so I made a u turn and drove back to toss the bags back into their counter so they don't think I was leaving for a free donut. I left because they have NO respect for families who choose to support their local crap business. I absolutely would never recommend any family coming here, be warned on how they treat people. 0/5 stars

A pretty solid family stop after Six Flags!…read more We took the boys here for Avery's birthday since it's only about 5-10 minutes from Six Flags, and honestly, it ended up being a pretty nice little stop after a long day. I had never been to a Black Bear Diner before, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. The location was clean, busy, and definitely has that classic Black Bear Diner look. Some of the decor feels a little dated, but I actually think that's part of the charm and the overall theme. What I didn't expect was how much merchandise they have! They basically have an entire little shopping area inside the restaurant with all kinds of Black Bear stuff. I thought that was pretty cool. Since we were coming from Sacramento and had already spent the day out, me and Dad weren't really hungry enough for a full meal. We grabbed coffee and energy drinks while the boys got kids' meals. The kids' meals also came with either a little ice cream sundae or strawberries, so of course the boys went for the sundaes. The staff was friendly, although we ended up having a couple different people helping us because they were switching shifts while we were there. Everyone we interacted with was nice and everything went smoothly. The only little disappointment was that we had made sure to mention that it was Avery's birthday because we were trying to make his day extra special. I honestly expected that there might be some kind of birthday perk for the birthday kid, especially at a restaurant that is so heavily family-oriented, but there wasn't. That's definitely not something I'm taking stars away for, because I fully expected to pay for the meal anyway. It just would have been a nice little touch. I didn't order a meal myself, so I can't really give a fair review of the food. I did steal a bite of Avery's pancakes after he was finished, though. Overall, I'd call this a 3.5-star experience that I'm rounding up to 4. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, the location was convenient, the boys enjoyed their meals and desserts, and there really wasn't anything that would keep me from coming back. Not a perfect experience, but definitely a good family stop -- especially if you're coming back from Six Flags and don't feel like driving all over the place looking for somewhere to eat. I'd absolutely come back.

The Grizz breakfast is great with epic portions. Not a fan of their cream pies but try anything once. The server Maria is awesome and very attentive, Do come in and get your fix on.
