You pick from a customized menu for OffRhodes customers with a 2-topping pizza/salad/drink menu and receive your beer tasting glass. The pizza place gets their ingredients at the local farmers market. Definitely recommend the fresh mozzarella + bacon crumbles as toppings. So good! The tour bus that brings you to each location has plush seating areas with plenty of room. It was cold outside when we went, but I believe when it's not sub arctic the bus is AC'd. We stopped at three breweries: The Faust Brewing Company, Guadalupe Brewing, & New Braunfels Brewing Company. Got to see first hand the production process. We loved trying unique small batch beers you can't purchase in stores. Apparently I've been drinking beers that taste like skunk water so this was nice. Lol We can't wait to do another group tour in the next few months!

Kenneth was a great tour guide, giving us information about each of the breweries we went to. He also sat with us at each location and it was cool getting to know him. Searched online for brewery tours that included this and finally decided on Austin Brewery Tours. Almost daily tours, online booking was so easy, and we got a reminder, a couple of days earlier to our tour, via email. Tour starts at noon. Meetup time was 11:30am. At around 11:25am the van was there. Out comes Shane, owner and tour guide. He immediately introduced himself, thanked us for being on time and proceeded to ask us our names and where we were from. Once the other people taking the tour arrived, we were all introduced and in the van we went. During the time we were driving, he would ask us questions to get to know us better, and see the style of beers we liked. He also gave us an intro of each of the breweries we would visit. He made the time driving pass by fast and welcomed all questions we could have. At each of the breweries, he explained the process and what we had included in the price of the tour. At Jester King, they even had a special release and he bought a sample of each (which was not included in the price but he gifted us with it) making sure we had the complete experience. You can tell he enjoys doing these tours and meeting the people. He even took us to Revolution - which was in front of one of the breweries we visited - to try locally made flavored gin. So greateful he allowed us to do this quick stop - this was delicious, and gave me the opportunity to talk more with one of the ladies on the tour, exchanging ideas on recipes with the gin we had just tried. Shane is grate at incorporating everyone in the tour and conversations. He allows you plenty of time to enjoy each brewery and every beer you choose. He is now friends with the staff at each of these breweries, which works on the advantage of everyone in the tour since we got excellent/ friendly service at each stop. Best part of this all, is you meet new people, get to enjoy all the beer you can drink, and don't have to drive. Great way to spend a day in Austin. If looking for a beer tour, look no further, this is it!

I'm speaking from experience as we've taken one now each place we travel to (if they have one) for the last 6 years, which is when it seems many good ones began to get started (US). I noticed the reviews so far are all from people in San Antonio. Nothing wrong with that - I live here too. However, none mention having taken other food tours they've taken so as to compare it. When you do, I find this tour a bit pricey and not balanced. I know it's a about the food for the most part and was the main reason we took it despite the cost. Yet, I was hoping for a true overall cultural experience like the best food tours we've done. That way you walk away satisfied gastronomically but also feel like you'd received a real "taste" of the city's culture you're visiting while allow your palate to rest while "digesting" things other than food. As I stated above, most food tours get good reviews, so I believe this is what helps separate the stand-outs from the average.

Our guide was knowledgable about the places we went and the ingredients used in our food. We had a food and beverage sampling at several popular restaurants. Every place we went had our table ready for us and hot food out within minutes. I am a vegetarian and each place had something for me. At the end of the evening we were stuffed. The next day we made reservations to return to our favorite place on the tour (Bliss). If you are visiting San Antonio this tour should not be missed.

We had some bourbon flights, and we were all pleasantly surprised at the quality of Ranger Creek bourbon. The Texas Landmark mesquite smoked bourbon was my favorite and well suited to both sipping and high end Old Fashioneds. Is Ranger Creek as good as Garrison? No, but it was better than we expected and the location was convenient Service: Very pleasant, good service Value: Good value, especially the Friday happy hour offering $5 Old Fashioneds.

Luckily we started the tour while the day was still in the 80s, so even though the bus was stuffy, we made it to the first winery stop with only one near-carsickness episode (the driving was erratic at best as well). Upon arrival to our first stop I notified the driver that the AC was not working. He took initiative to call another bus to meet us so that we could switch for the next portion of the drive. We learned the second bus also did not have working AC about 2 minutes into the ride. The AC would circulate for UP TO 30 seconds before shutting off for at least 60 seconds. And so on. Today was a 100+ degree day. We got to the second stop of the tour and notified our driver (yet again, not to mention he took us in the complete wrong direction on the road and a 12 minute ride turned into a 28 minute ride). The THIRD bus showed up while we were on our second winery stop. It had "working AC" however there was also a spent miller lite can in a magnetic koozie stuck to one of the bus walls. No doubt from the last ride. The first bus had potential. The entire group was so excited for our day. It had a cooler, was stocked with drinks, and looked well kept. It went downhill so quickly. This experience was 100% not worth the money. We could have used car services for all 10 in the group and still spent less money than this cost us.
