Highway 66!

When traveling to a new town, I like finding local places to stop. Johnny J's fits the bill. Good food, friendly service, huge variety on the menu. Cinnamon rolls are amazing! Finally, if you like 50s and 60s decor, this is the place!

The service is so great, all the staff are very friendly and quick. The ambiance of the restaurant is awesome, feels like you're going back in time and it has the classic diner feel. I still have only had breakfast here but it has always been very tasty. The only complaint is that one of my over easy eggs was a little underdone in the egg white, and I prefer omelets to have cheese inside not on top.

Ham and cheese sandwich with wet fries and Nathan's cheese dog with cloeslaw

A little bit of a wait but soo worth it!!!! Ham and cheese sandwich was awesome as were the wet fries!husband loved his Nathan cheese dog and coleslaw Food came fairly quickly even though the restaurant was packed!it was almost 2 p.m. and still busy busy!I can not say enough how awesome our waitress was! Food is FABULOUS!

Absolutely amazing Cobb salad, super fresh and moist chicken, crispy bacon and awesome blue cheese, well done Johnny J!!

5 of us came here for lunch and it was disappointing. We have been here maybe 4-5 times before and always has a good experience but not today, i had a cheese burger deluxe, the patty was dry, the tomatoes looked soft and like thawed from yesterday, my wife had a Cobb salad and the lettuce was wrinkly and also not fresh, my son had a cheese quesadilla that had to get redone as for some reason they had put onions in there, my buddy had a reuben sandwich which was literally 2 slices of toast with a skinny slice of meat. And to top that off the waitress was all over the place, kept forgetting stuff, we had to get up to get condiments, no refills on water etc etc etc. This is not what this place used to be.

We decided to try this place on our road trip. The atmosphere was friendly, service a little slow but they were busy. The food was exceptional. Portions a little bit so most went into the trash. I had hog heaven omelette with homestyle potatoes and a pancake. The best part was the omelette was absolutely delicious, potatoes were too crunchy for my taste and the pancake I could've left out, but that's to my personal taste. All in all still worth going and check out. Not too many diners like this left in the US.

Awesome 50's themed diner! Some of the best and most friendly service I've ever had. My egg-salad sandwich was great and my wife enjoyed her fried chicken sandwich. The only downside is the lack of vegetarian options. The only non-appetizer food items that came without meat were the egg-salad sandwich and the grilled cheese sandwich; even all of the salads included meat. Despite that, we'll still be back if we're ever in the area.

My husband and I took a gander at the menu before getting there, but we wanted to double check to make sure we knew what we wanted. There are SO MANY choices! All sound amazing! I ALWAYS have to order fried okra to see if they get it right and Sanford's definitely does. The Momma Odie's chicken melt was such a spot hitter. The Parmesan garlic crust on the sourdough bread with the melted spinach dip, bacon, and chicken was the perfect balance of flavors. My husband LOVED his pants on fire burger. He said it was the perfect combination of buffalo ranch and melted bleu cheese crumbles with his burger patty. It was the first time he actually used a knife and fork to eat his burger. He got plain fries and those with the pickle were a nice finish. We ended our meal with huckleberry ice cream. It was just what was needed to complete the meal. We can't wait to come back again. Next time, I'm trying that andouille penne. Sidenote: Don't be rude...if you have a big party, like 10+, call and let them know. They ask for 20 minutes in advance. A party of 22 came in as we were about to leave and they didn't have a reservation. Don't be those people. Call first.

After 11 minutes we were seated and it took 12 minutes to get water and take our order. There were only 3 other families in the entire place. The best part was the bacon and my daughter's bendy straw. The only other time I saw the waitress was to beg her for the bill before we were ignored another 10 minutes. Google recommended this as a cool family friendly "must see" restaurant. We won't be back.

It's taking me a while to finally review for Wyoming Ale works. Mainly because I had such varied…read moreexperiences the first couple years that I went there. They've also changed their menu quite a few times since inception. First off it's a beautiful restaurant with a nice large parking lot and you'll be seated by a hostess on either the dining room side or the large bar/dining area on the other half of the restaurant. There's many large comfortable booths to sit in unless you want a table which there's plenty of too. Also high top tables for 4/6/8 available on the bar side or you can just sit at the very large bar that's three sided with 60 seats. The bar side is full of TVs. And generally has music videos as well as sports on. After getting seated by your hostess, expect you will get a great experience from your server as they take pride in training their staff very well here and I've never had a bad experience with a server in probably 20/25 visits here. The menu is a little all over the place now there are some interesting and tasty appetizers. The cheese logs and the fried green tomatoes seem to be most people's favorite appetizers. The chicken wings are pretty good though there are limited flavors available. They do an amazing happy hour menu with great appetizer deals as well as good drink deals if you have the opportunity to stop in during this time of day. I think where they shine is with their burgers. I've had some very delicious burgers there. I've also had good Italian type food with their rigatoni , manicotti and their Stromboli's. Their pizza used to be really excellent. And now it's a little hit and miss depending on which type you get. They have their own woodfired pizza Grill, which has the potential to make amazing crust. However, they tend to get ratios of cheese and meats a little off sometimes. The bison chili and the duck gumbo are both pretty good. It's not traditional Cajun gumbo but it's still a pretty delicious soup. I've had a few bad soups here, including the beer cheese and some of the other cheese soups, which were not completely cooked down and were gritty with flour base still noticeable. The fried fish is also a stand out dish that they do. And a lot of people really like their steaks and steak salad. Overall, this is a great place to bring your family or a large group of friends or even a elegant birthday party. You know you'll get taken really good care of and other than it's more on the expensive side you know exactly what you're gonna get every time highly recommended and if you're getting a cocktail, I recommend the huckleberry Mojito. Recommended.
