I've I heard good things about this place for my coworkers, so I thought I'd check it out when I was in town. At first impression, the menu offered a wide variety of selections that I was pretty excited about. Unfortunately, the salad that I wanted was unavailable that evening. My server had to come back to the table and tell me that they had run out of the necessary ingredients. That's always frustrating. I wasn't super hungry, so I opted for an appetizer for my meal. The Cran-Jack meatballs were tasty and the accompanying toast offered a nice contrast. While I am normally a lover of onion rings, the ones on my plate left something to be desired. They tasted bitter and I only ate one. The service was incredibly slow. I sat in my seat for well over 10 minutes playing on my phone waiting for the waitress to come check on me so I could close out my tab. I finally resorted to flagging down a food runner from the kitchen. I'd like to go back and have an actual meal, perhaps with my husband or a good friend, despite a less than stellar first impression. read more

Unbelievably long wait times! Overpriced drinks for mid-shelved alcohol, they charge double the price for a double shot drink! Restaurant has varying hours, make sure you're double checking before making plans! The restaurant is also so dark you can barely see, they only have virtual menus so elder folks should be aware of this! The wait staff seem to forget about complimentary bread, in conclusion... okay food but the prices and the wait time make it NOT WORTH IT! This restaurant is located inside the Riverside Hotel and is a casual dining experience. The dim light lends itself to finer dining but its decor is country and western. The cocktails were nice but not spectacular. The service was spectacular! The food was good. The fries were fresh but a little too greasy. The steak was a hero at $60 is well worth the money! When we arrived there was around 10 people sitting at the bar and another 10 in the dining room. Sign said wait to be seated. We waited about 5 minutes. During this time, two waitresses came by and said we'll be right with you. But we still waited. They set us at a table that was only big enough for drinks. Not 2 people for dinner. This place was not crowded at all. We ended up asking to move to a different table. It took another 5+ minutes to have someone get our drink order. 15 minutes later we received 1 of 2 drinks. Probably another 10 minutes after that we received the second drink. We ordered food. It took 30 minutes to get food. It was served by the bartender, not the waitress. The food was good. The drinks were very watered down. If you order a drink with alcohol, make sure it's a double so you can taste the alcohol. Almost forgot... make sure you have your phone with you because they have no paper menus for food. Only a paper drink menu. read more

Ok. First time we went, phenomenal. The owner/ chef really took his time to deliver an amazing NY strip (as it should be for $60), twice baked potato, and veggies. Our waitress said it was the owner's "love letter to Casper", and I could tell. The second time... not so much. I asked our waitress if there was a different cook this time (there was) as the steak was entirely raw ( more than likely due to searing an ice cold steak) and the veggies and twice baked were not cooked well, with the potato being an entirely different product from the first time. I couldn't even finish the steak, which I cannot say has even happened before with me at any restaurant. The waitresses (who were incredible) were very apologetic and understanding, but wasting $60 on sub-par execution is wasting $60 on sub-par execution. Stopped overnight after traveling through 60+ mph wind. I had the Good Reverend Craft cocktail, a pleasant surprise. A hint of espresso martini with bourbon. The Clucky Capri Supreme was delicious and huge. We will be back. read more

The atmosphere is really cute. One side is a speakeasy type bar and the other is a nice seated restaurant. The food was not bad. We had the ribs for a starter and so glad we did the pile was huge. And they are spicy so if you don't like heat don't get them. They are that sneaky kind of heat that really gets you once you stop eating it. My guest had a hamburger and he really liked it. For a smash burger it was pretty juicy and thick. I ordered the onion straws the flavor was great breading was light but they were a bit salty. Also if you don't like whisky you may not care for them because everything has whisky in it. You don't really taste the liquor but the flavor is still there. I saw the meatballs and steaks and both looked really good. The meatballs are on the list for my next visit. read more

I recently enjoyed dinner at this incredible establishment while in the company of my wife, daughter and a close friend who was visiting from out of state. We enjoyed an amazing three course meal that consisted of appetizers, dinner and dessert. OK , I forgot to bring a copy of the menu home with me so I'll do my best. First..... The folks who work here are top shelf! Our server Catarina was a kick! Could not have been more helpful, funny, informative, just fun. Now the food, my wife and I split a salad. Greens with green apples and a blueberry balsamic dressing. Freaking outstanding. We are staying at a local hotel, (Come on inn also 5 ***** ) so we ordered 2 appetizers wings and these over the top glazed ribs!!!! The wings were good BUT GET THE RIBS! We wanted some to take back to the room with us for later since we were dining early. Finally we each had a smash burger. Very good Highly recomment if you are traveling, skip the chains, the stuff you can eat anywhere in the country. Eat local and get to know someone personally. We stopped in late on a Sunday and were happy they were still serving drinks and food. We didn't order a ton of food but everything was good. The poutine and chicken wings were my favorite! The server was incredibly nice and attentive to our needs. Our family was seated at a large table, which was great for us. It looks like it would normally be hard to go with a larger group though unless that space was open. Overall, great experience. Would go back again in the future! read more

Had a great experience at Whiskey Butter! Table of eight. Ambiance was perfect for our group. Music was a tad loud as we were close to jukebox, but they did respect our request to lower it so we could enjoy the good company. We all ordered the craft cocktails that we all enjoyed...again and again! Appetizers were fun and pleasing. Everything from brussel sprouts to tuna tartar. Loved them all! Party ordered everything from the salmon to the tequila lime shrimp, to the signature ribeye...fantastic! Service was great! Kat took great care of us and was very charming. Wiskey Butter Ribeye was extremely salty. Barely choked it down because it was $60 and I was supposed to be treating myself. With the name of the establishment on the meal I expected at least a decent experience. Meal takes a while to prepare so if it's over salted you better have another hour to wait for them to fix it. Would not come back. Second drink was also watered down tasteless tonic water when I ordered a mojito. Poor quality offerings. High prices. Would not recommend this establishment. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. We waited two hours for food and drinks. Our wait staff also charged us for top shelf when we ordered simply Tito's. No one assisted us or helped us for a solid 30 minutes. My friends and I all work in the service industry and so we were super patient and understanding but this is unacceptable. The fact we didn't even get complimentary bread until 1.5 hours after our order. My friends also ordered a vodka water which took 45 minutes... all in all a terrible experience and not worth it. read more

Small menu we ended up ordering smash burgers they were ok and they had multiple options the $7 up charge for truffle fries was not listed anywhere on the menu nor where we told but they were delicious. Great ambiance....the restaurant gives off a speakeasy vibe. My table had the Poke Bowl and 2 kinds of wings....and a handcrafted cocktail to share. Food was AMAZING.
