Food was delicious... had t been here in a long time, I love the new dishes and the daily specials. Service could have been better but I'll give them a second chance.

03.14.25 calamari

03.14.25 stopped by to try out this italian place for lunch. wasn't as i expected, as i have been to many authentic italian restuarants. i understand now, why during my entire visit, there were only 2 other guest, since the time they opened. calamari was over cooked and very hard. the dipping sauce for the bread was also very bland, like generic olive oil with only black pepper in it; which is not how it is supposed to be served. going somewhere else next time.

I was a little weary after reading some of the negative reviews but the price and location made our party of 9 give it a try. We are happy we did! The lunch menu offers tons of value. We were surprised to learn they had a BOGO special on Pastas, so some of us gave that a try. Others enjoyed their Burgers and Pizza. I had the Chicken Parmesan with pasta and my wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Bow tie Festival. We actually were pleasantly surprised with both. Each had the flavor profile we expected and the right portion size for the price. We were both very happy with our order. My son liked his kids pizza. Kids menu doesn't come with a drink but does include dessert. He was a happy boy. What stood out was the service. Our server, Josh, was a true professional and really took care of us. He was patient and funny. He made sure it was a special visit for us. I am glad to see there are locations near me in San Antonio so I will be visiting those soon. Nice to have a new place in my rotation.

Outside. Car window that was broken into

Arrived around 8pm on 06/14 for dinner. Dinner was good but the location is not. We got to our car to realize it was broken into. Called 911 and they said we need to get camera footage from the restaurant. We go to the restaurant and the manager of that time said they don't have cameras. We go outside to see there are cameras but they aren't giving us footage. There were two police close by who we called over who were taking care of another incident from the same parking lot/area. The police try to get footage from us but the shift manager said they don't have any. The shift manager and our waitress told us that people around this area break into cars. If this is so common, why don't they have cameras? I'm sure they do and aren't giving the footage to be considered liable because we saw the cameras. If someone slips outside or if their restaurant is broken into, do they just do nothing? With the amount of employees working and just my family along with two others, they made it suspicious with how they were saying it happens. One mentioned a homeless guy, another saw a guy in a white shirt, and someone said there was a car parked that left at the same time. No cameras, lots of different stories from employees, and mentions of that happens a lot. I could be paranoid but I'm also suspicious they might know more.

I honestly wish I could write a review without any stars for this place. Me and my son went here for lunch on Saturday with the thought that I would get my meal for free as a birthday reward. Well, upon arriving, there were only two cars in the parking lot. I immediately thought this place must not be good, and I was actually right. We placed our order that came ith salad for free but my son wanted soup, and the fee is .99 cents, so we stayed with the free salad. The salad was just a bowl of lettuce with a few bits of carrots and petite tomatoes, the lettuce was not fresh and tasted bitter, the dressing was on the edge of my bowl that was not a nice look, we didn't eat the salad. The waitress asked of we wanted some soup with no fee. My son got potato soup, and I just waited for my entree. He got spicy shrimp and chicken penne pasta, and I got lasagna. He said his meal didn't taste good and had a bad smell. The lasagna was not good, the tomatoe sauce tasted like paprika and it did not stand on the plate like lasagna should. My son felt like he was going to throw up after tasting the lasagna. I said well let's go and we went towards the door where our waitress and possibly the chef, I told them we were done and was leaving, neither of them mad any apologies we just walked out the door and will never go back. Be careful if you go there.

I love the food. The online app is so easy to use. I also enjoy the convenience of not driving around to pick up the order.

It feels like we're slowly working our way through every restaurant in the area, but today, we landed at Antonio's Italian Grill and Seafood--a spot my mom first introduced us to, and let me tell you, it's like finding an Italian oasis in the middle of Baytown. Now, if you haven't been here yet, what are you even doing with your life? Their pizzas? Out of this world. But today, I took a leap and ordered the Crab Cake Fiorentina--two perfectly cooked crab cakes, swimming in a lemon cream sauce, tomatoes, and angel hair pasta. I had the asparagus 86'd because, let's face it, no man should risk eating asparagus on the off chance he gets lucky. Not that I'm claiming to be, but one must always be prepared, right? Back to the food--it was so good, I forgot all about my random asparagus panic. And the garlic bread knots? Absolute perfection. They're so fluffy and delicious that I'm pretty sure they're sent straight from heaven. Oh, and Maria? She's a superstar. Every time we come, she treats us like family, which is reason enough to keep coming back. So do yourself a favor and head to Antonio's. Your taste buds will thank you, and maybe, just maybe, you'll get lucky (just avoid the asparagus).

They do have live bands so it may get loud, if that's not your thing. Now for the food... there was so much we wanted to try like the fried trio (zucchini, mushrooms, and pickles), but we chose the bacon deviled eggs and they did not disappoint! The bacon was candied and oh so good. They have a really good salad bar, and the waitress charged us for the kids portion since we were all getting meals that didn't come with a trip. Lots of good toppings to choose from. They have yummy rolls with honey cinnamon butter. My only complaint was the ranch and blue cheese was a bit too runny, and the blue cheese lacked flavor. My bonus daughter and I split the wings and the seafood platter. The wings are really good, we got hot and cherry jalapeño barbecue. The seafood platter was very good, huge portion, 6 shrimp and 2 large pieces of catfish, and the french fries were awesome. I just wish the tartar sauce tasted a little bit better. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it wasn't my favorite. My husband had the signature sirloin topped with a seafood sauce. It was really good and cooked perfectly. He got the loaded mashed potatoes, but they were very dry, they needed some cream or some butter or both. I also got a side of fried okra, I didn't care for it, not very flavorful and not crispy. My daughter got the kids cheese enchilada dinner, she didn't care for it, she said it was mostly cheese and no tortilla. The dessert menu is extensive, and it was hard to make a choice. I wanted to try the brownie bottom cheesecake, the Keylime pie cheesecake, the bourbon, pecan cheesecake, and the Texas velvet chocolate cake. My daughter and I both went for the Texas velvet chocolate cake. The waitress failed to tell me that the portion size is HUGE. Wish I'd have taken a pic! It's two huge slices of chocolate cake on top of each other. Let me tell you, though, this is one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. The cake part was moist, I hate that word, but I can't think of another word that describes it. Very flavorful and chocolatey. The icing was one of the best I've ever had, it's a chocolate buttercream and so good. We've eaten on this cake for a few days and it is not going to waste, that's for sure. I think the cake was the best part of the meal. Soooo good. My husband got the salted caramel pecan pie, it was very good. He's not a crust person, but he actually ate all the crust, it was so good. Overall, I really like cactus jacks and I would come back. The waitress was mediocre, for example, she told me they didn't have blue cheese, but they obviously did. She wasn't very attentive at the table, took awhile to get refills and we weren't able to get her to get us some butter for the mashed potatoes because she was rarely there, just a bunch of little things... She was very sweet though . The only reason why they got five stars was the chocolate cake, I think they really deserve four stars because their sides and condiments need some work. But, we will give it another try for sure.

The margarita was strong. The bartender was nice. Yesterday I stopped by for lunch. Service was good. However, I was disappointed in the food. I had the lunch fajitas, I'm not a fan of Spanish rice or refried beans. The rice was plain not seasoned. I had the cookie skillet for dessert. Ice Cream was salad as a rock. It even took forever for to melt from the heat of the cookie. Two gentlemen were sitting next to me at the bar. We was noticing how they had a few birthday celebrations that were taking place.
