But if you like 'instant review' like you do 'instant coffee', all you need is the first line above. Our garbage disposal broke down. Further, the toilet tank has been intermittently draining out automatically for months now. So called several plumbing companies. They all quoted in the vicinity of 600 dollars or more(garbage disposal repair/replacement and fixing two toilet tanks). I invited a plumbing company to visit and have a look (only because they said they would NOT charge me upfront for the visit, but only if I allowed them to work). The plumber came in inspected, and then said he would need more than 600 dollars for getting the job done. And mind you this was one company I had shortlisted after reviewing a lot many more. Yet, something just didn't sound right. So I politely refused. Immediately he got on the phone and called his supervisor, and told me that his supervisor can cut me a deal! How good a deal? I ask. He replies that his supervisor will allow the job to be done for $500 provided I agree to get it done right then and there, no second guessing. I told them, ' NO Thank you'. Company after company. Same wishy washy story. Something just didn't feel right. Then I stumbled upon this company, John the plumber. I liked the reviews. But I have grown to be very suspicious of fake reviews posted by company insiders. So I researched about this company some more and read all possible reviews over the net. The impression I got is that these guys are TRUSTWORTHY. Time and again, reviewers write about 'Honesty', and of how this company does NOT nickel and dime you. At one point I grew convinced that these guys are the real deal. So I called them and the lady who picked the phone scheduled the plumber visit for this Friday (because I could either get it done today or Friday, and they were all booked for today). A few minutes later she called to tell me that one of their appointments got canceled and if I wanted they could get my job done today. Within an hour I had a plumber, Mike, visit us. His cheerful, yet professional demeanor, gave me the confidence that my trust in them may not be misplaced. This guy is a SUPER FAST PROFESSIONAL! SUPER FAST! and Super efficient. He takes pride in his ability to fix things and then likes to enjoy the dumbstruck residents who are bewildered by the speed and efficiency with which he gets things done. And things he got done, quickly, and efficiently. 'Look here', he smiled, and switched the garbage disposal on. And relished the surprised smiles on the face of my dad and mom, who were impressed by the speed, ease, and efficiency, with which this man worked. Mike loves his job. And he takes pride at how good he is at his job. And he takes pride in being a member of team 'John the Plumber'. And it shows in his work. I would not have taken the time to write this review, had it not been for the excellent work done by this company. Actually I may still not have written it, as I tend to slack off on such acts. The real reason I am putting in this review is because of my Mom, who declared to Mike, 'You are so efficient that I will make sure that my son writes a glowing review about you and your company on the Internet'. And just as she told him, she insisted that I immediately put in a review about the company 'John the Plumber' and Mike their plumber who visited us. And by the way, what this company charged for their effort, was much lesser than what all those stalwart companies had quote us, and whom we rejected, due to our nagging suspicions about their true motives. Whats more, the much lesser charge included a replacement of the garbage disposal with John the Plumber providing the new replacement garbage disposal. The work he did also included additional stuff that we hadn't asked for earlier (like fixing the leaky garden faucet/hose and the one in the backyard, and also fixing the dishwasher door). My mom asked me to print out 'John the plumber's' contact information and stick it to the refrigerator door, just in case we ever need a plumber in future. She also wants me to distribute John the Plumber's contact information among friends. Hope this review helps. If ever you need a plumbing company, do not look any further than John the Plumber. They did not let us down. If anything, they surpassed all our expectations. I do not know about other plumbers in this company, but I can vouch for Mike the plumber who visited us. That said, I have no reason to think that their other plumbers would be any less efficient. read more

The best way to find out about the quality [or not] of professional services is when someone recommends them to you. I needed some plumbing work done in my condo. Last week, I mentioned what I needed done to a friend of mine and immediately he recommended John The Plumber. My friend told me that he had just hired them a few weeks back and how highly satisfied he was of their work, but he strongly pleaded that I should specifically asked for Andrew, the young man who did the plumbing repair he needed (he happens to be the son of a John The Plumber). I called the outfit and scheduled an appointment insisting on having Andrew. 3 days later, Andrew called me when he left his shop to tell me he was on his way and that he will be on time - and he was on time, indeed - imagine that! A very polite and mild mannered, string-bean, mid-20ies young man showed up. He introduced himself and he went right to the task he was called for, and he worked diligently without stopping until he finished. He eventually ran into a snag. Instead of blowing up and cussing like a sailor( maybe like a plumber), he asked me to come over to the work place , showed me and explained to me without drama what happened, why it happened, and what he needed to do to fix it. I agreed to the additional work. When he finished, he came over to the living room where I was to tell me he was done. He escorted me over to the work place to show me his finished job. It was like in a Disney movie with a very happy ending; he had already picked up all the old parts he replaced and cleaned the work environment with cleaning spray to a spotless room. He finished preparing his electronic invoice, I paid him, and off to his next job he went. Job well done! read more

John the Plumber's team is absolutely outstanding! My wife and I noticed a leak coming from our son's bath tub - brand new house and couldn't believe it. Gave Mike K. a call at John the Plumber and he had a two man crew at our house - based on OUR schedule, which was fantastic. Mike "Sully" Sullivan and Adam were right on time, very friendly and took the time to put on "shoe covers" the second they entered. After introductions, we discussed what happened and that we also wanted them to check the water pressure for the house. Our biggest concern being "new' to Florida (and in general with repairs) is paying for unnecessary repairs - Sully and Adam determined that a simple gasket replacement for the leak and the removal of some water "savers" and debris that had accumulated across the different faucets in the house was the solution. In less than an hour, our problem was solved and we have great water pressure in all of our bathrooms. We also got to meet a couple of really good dudes in the process - who only charged us for a standard Service Call (you can't beat that!). Thank goodness for John the Plumber and Darrin, stopped up the sink & garbage disposal on Thanksgiving Day in the middle of my wife getting everything ready for dinner. Needless to say dinner was canceled and I found myself in the dog house, who knew that six sweet potato skin peelings at one time in disposal stop it up! Anyway to the good stuff, call John the Plumber and explained my situation, the lady I spoke with got a chuckle and said she would fit me. Enter Darrin! very professional, organized and explained what needed to be done and cost. Darrin completed job and left little to no mess and showed my wife all he has done, she was happy and I got out of the dog house! We had a hydrogen water machine arrive and needed an under the sink installation with a separate faucet. A quick text to "John the Plumber" and it was installed very professionally the next afternoon. We love that John the Plumber is a family business and in many cases it is family members that arrive to do the work. We have used them many times throughout the years for clogged drains, new toilets, Hot water heater installation, under the slab leak that Mike found, whole house water filter system installation, (Mike installed) and everyone from John II, and John III, Mike, Andrew and others were all fast and very professional. Horrible place to work for very racially discriminated against they over work you and under pay you they increase the work load and never increase the pay also wants you to work while you're off the clock the managers are very lazy and very biased they never want you to give your opinion they want you to be a mute and want you to accept being treated like a slave they pay way less than what's advertised they never allow overtime they are just cruel very horrible company to work for people of color beware and never apply here they always say family operated but don't treat you as such please don't apply here they are terrible and overpriced . I highly recommend John The Plumber! My main drainage lines were clogged and needed to be cleared through the roof lines. I contacted a half dozen local and renown plumbing companies and had received an amazingly ridiculous array of pricing from some, several who would not even begin to provide an approximate price by phone but, most of all, NONE we willing to come out on a Saturday without charging extra fees... Until I spoke with Dave. He was willing to provide weekend service, did not charge any additional fees and, was courteous as well as prompt! Qualities rarely found these days. The old cast iron pipes are starting to give us reoccurring problems. John The Plumber sent Andrew that enlisted the help of Bill when running the video camera through my system and pinpointing the locations of the problem areas. They were two hours early for the appointment and called first for welcomed approval. I was able to review the video feed and concurred with what they observed. Woke up this past Monday to problem with our kitchen sink. I read the reviews on Yelp. Called John The Plumber. I was told they were a bit short handed that day,but they would try for the afternoon. Sure enough,I received a call at 1PM, a technician was on the way. Adam showed up promptly. Checked out the problem. Discussed it with me. The disposal stopped working, one sink was leaking hot water and a few other small plumbing issues arose. I was able to get a service call quickly and effortlessly. Dana did the service call. He put me at ease, fixed things quickly and told me what was happening every step of the way. I was referred to John the Plumber by my brother-in-law whom they had done similar work for. We needed to replace our 50-year-old cast iron sewer pipe. This was a major undertaking as the had to excavate under one side of my house to reach both bathrooms and the other side for the kitchen and laundry. I as was amazed as they had to trench completely around my house and down to the sewer connection and did the complete job in a week's time, start to finish.
