I found Dr. Noble in 2021 when my longtime dentist retired and sold the practice to a corporate dental chain. Dr. Noble is the antithesis of that. He runs an efficient practice to keep costs down and avoid having to do the upselling that is becoming more common in dental practices. The building may look a little faded on the outside but Dr. Noble's suite is bright and modern. There's even a dedicated parking space in the back lot. read more

Dr. Noble has been caring for my dental health for a few years now. At one point early on, he called to make sure I was ok because a clamp left a bruise on my gums( it was painful but healed quickly). That's the type of Dr. He is. I've been to Dr. Noble at least 5 times, and I think he's great. He does the cleanings himself. When faced with dental issues, he's recommended that we take a cautious, more conservative approach rather than jumping to do procedures that may not be worth it or may not be necessary. I feel that I'm in good hands w/Dr. Noble because he seems to really have my best interests in mind, rather than working just to increase his bottom line. The office is clean and bright. His exam chair faces a window so you can look out at the sky -- In the fall, the tree outside turns orange/yellow/red, which I enjoy looking at. The one very minor drawback that I've noticed is that my appointments w/him seem to last longer than w/my previous dentists. However, I think this is because he is thorough and doesn't want to rush through the check-up or the cleaning. He also takes the time to answer any questions I have. There is a free, reserved parking spot in the lot behind the building. One time, it was dark after my appointment, so Dr. Noble thoughtfully offered to walk me to my car. Dr. Noble is honest, friendly, accommodating, and thorough - everything you want in a dentist. He does the cleanings himself and will answer any and all questions you ask him. He's been working with teeth for a long time, and nothing makes up for experience. He never pushes you into dental work that you may not need, but also keeps you informed on what's going on in your mouth, and things to look out for. I actually look forward to our chats and getting my teeth cleaned. You're in good hands with Dr. Noble. I moved down to San Jose, but dentists like Dr. Noble are nearly impossible to find. I had a toothache in Feb for a week. When it became unbearable that I couldn't eat or drink water, I needed an emergency visit. My usual go-to dentist couldn't see me for months. After calling many offices, Dr. Noble returned my call, and hearing how much I was suffering, squeezed me into his schedule on the same day! He immediately diagnosed correctly that I had irreversible pulpitis and sent me across the street at Dr Calvert's (a root canal specialist) to get a root canal in an hour at 6pm. By then, based on my frantic googling, I'd learned that any further waiting is just unnecessary suffering. I was so grateful to both Dr Noble and Dr Calvert who soon ended my pain the same day I tried them!! I had shivers thinking what would have happened if I tried waiting for my usual dentist, so I promptly asked to be a patient of Dr. Noble's going forward. Soon after the root canal (which also went super smooth and lessened my pain instantly), I got a new filling by Dr. Noble for the tooth. As I expected, Dr. Noble fitted it perfectly and opted for the cheaper and less invasive filling, instead of a crown. I don't think I had any out of pocket expense with Dr. Noble. It's incredible how kind Dr. Noble is! I move around a lot, so I've seen quite a lot of dentists. No one ever came close to how helpful Dr. Noble had been to me. Despite it being a Saturday Dr. Noble was able to accommodate me that same day, assess my issue quickly, and give me advice on addressing it, all the while being very personable. His office is clean and well appointed and has all the up-to-date equipment, but this is where the similarity between Dr. Noble and other perfectly adequate dentists ends. He truly goes above and beyond. He's extraordinarily thorough and thoughtful, doesn't rely on a hygienist to do all his work and has a good sense of humor so even a cleaning is a pleasant experience. I just had my third appointment with Dr. Noble, and at this point I'm fairly confident that he's the best dentist I've had in my storied dental history. He and his staff are nice and charming and easy to talk to. He's very knowledgeable and great at explaining issues, and he's very clear about what he's going to do and what you need to get done in the future. Additionally, my first appointment was a great introduction to Dr. Noble. I had a crown pop out and knew I needed it replaced quickly, but I didn't have a dentist at the time. I contacted Dr. Noble and he agreed to see me that very same day, even going so far as to take me in as a late appointment and come into the office just to handle my problem. John and his partner (whose name I forget) did a great job and a huge favor for me. I got something stuck between my gum and back molar - Friday afternoon the day before leaving for a trip! No dentist was open, Yelp or some site claimed they were open til 7pm, I called, they weren't open, but John came back to his office, opened up, went exploring around my gum, fixed the problem, and even dealt with some squeamishness over novocaine. I felt compelled to write this review as he's one of the most honest and trustworthy medical practitioners that I've dealt with. He takes the time to explain what he's doing, answer all of your questions, and get the job done right without rushing. On top of this, he does not try to rip you off and charged a substantially lower price than I was quoted from a dentist of the same caliber in SF. I've been to some shady dentists before so this was such a nice surprise.
