There are paved trails for walkers as well as bikers and then there are also trails in the woods. The paved paths were more crowded so we stuck to the woody trails. They were clearly groomed in some parts as wooden platforms had been placed over muddy areas. It was peaceful and we definitely didn't feel like we were in suburban Long Island. We weren't able to explore the entire park as our teens started complaining after 4 miles. ‍ We will go back next time without them to explore more!

The prices are affordable con paired to other ice skating rinks in New York. Rink access is $6 for town of oyster bay and $9 the public. Skate rentals are $5 each. My children don't have much experience with ice skating so having guides would have been helpful. Unfortunately, they do not have an available to rent here. Skate service is quick, they have ample staff to make sure check in and skate pick up is seamless. The rink attendants do a good job of checking on kids when they fall and making sure they're okay and not hurt. The concession stand offers hot chocolate and snacks. We definitely enjoyed hot chocolate after spending an hour on the ice. I enjoyed the cookie dough hot chocolate and cannolis. My kids had the peppermint and gingerbread hot chocolate. We also enjoyed the real wood fireplace to get cozy and warm. Definitely will come back!

If you go up and down the long way, you can get a nice 3.5 miles in on this baby with some hills. Throw in a weighted vest, and you're getting yourself a solid light workout. There are already so many reviews, so just some notes: 1) Make your way around the current dump (also a Nassau County gem, seriously) and drive slowly. 2) Parking is tricky at certain times of the day and on weekends. Make sure to come before 9:30 on beautiful days, or else you'll be parking far, far away. More steps, If you really want them I guess. 3) Wear your sunscreen! Skin cancer is no joke, and it's pretty bright up top with not a lot of coverage if you walk around to the lake. 4) Beware...No lights in the bathroom and really not the best place to use the loo. There however is a shopping center close by... 5) Look out of all sorts of critters from birds to bugs.. including ticks.

Came here on a Saturday for my employer's charity softball tournament. Our team played against…read moremany other employers, and this park totally delivered for the occasion! With three softball fields, it's basically built for tournaments and pick-up games. Parking was a breeze--lots right by each field, and since it was after Labor Day, no parking fee (pro tip: fees kick back in on Memorial Day). We set up a BBQ and picnic next to the first field. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches, plus some coal grills. But fair warning: the grills are pretty rough, so if you're serious about grilling, definitely bring your own. The softball area itself is perfect for family gatherings, company outings, or just a fun weekend with friends. Good energy, lots of space, and an easy setup for hanging out while cheering on a game. Can't speak for the rest of the park, but this section is definitely a win.

While the bike path hasn't made blush me often*, it does provide me with a some enjoyment and exhilaration. Similar to Lee M.'s experience, I too have come down bridges and around blind corners and almost hitting other bikers doing the same, and heard the terrifying screeching of tires on a near miss on a marked cross walk. Yeah. Don't worry, the enjoyable part is coming: Provided it's not crowded, this bike path is positively one of the most relaxing a beautiful rides on the island. Sure, places like the path through cedar creek park/Jones beach are like the slightly better looking cousin, however you're exposed to the angry beating sun and the windy shores. On this path, you encounter neither. You're not in full exposure. You're in the trees, in the shade. You hear the birds and see rabbits and squirrels. You have a lake and a creek. They are small hills too, to really work your legs. You just need to watch out for the following things: - Piles of Leaves/Loose dirt around corners - Small children running in front of your bike - Angry men in spandex, shouting, "ON YOUR LEEFT!" - Cars at the crosswalks Otherwise, you're good. This bike path gives you options. The lower portion has a well packed dirt and pavement. It's well marked and the pavement is equally well maintained. You can ride just 8 miles, or up to 20 past Bethpage park. Heck, you can stop in the park and do some of the dirt bike trails if you're feeling adventurous. Go out there and get some miles on your bikes! Just, please remember: ALWAYS STAY TO THE RIGHT OF THE PATH. We flirted on facebook and made a date to meet here on Valentine's day, I kinda wasn't sure if it was definitely a date or not because I'm fucking clueless sometimes but that's a whole other thing. Anyway so my first hike here Valentine's day, I missed the actual loop entrance which is at the intersection of Old Mill Road and Park Ave and ended up parking by an elementary school. It had snowed, it was cold and I prefer warm weather hiking but will do it in the cold and snow. The scenery was beautiful. However myself and the date that I wasn't sure was a date we didn't even make it a mile before we headed back. There was kissing involved with two middle aged people (glad I just made you throw up if you're reading this review) and I'll leave it at that and let your imagination go the rest of the way if you even want to dare. So today I came back before work to handle the hike by myself. I do hike with people sometimes but prefer to be alone in the woods. Sometimes but not always when I'm alone in the woods I come into some pretty hardcore life answers or ideas. I was in a rush to get through the loop as quickly as I could though before work so I didn't take the trail as slowly as I might have. I also got lost and missed the bridge to go over the lake and continue the loop trail, thankfully one of 4 fishermen I saw was able to give me directions. This trail is beautiful and amazing but there are certain parts where you don't have that lost in the woods feeling because of nearby highways, still it's an awesome somewhat easy trail to hit!

While some parks, such as Belmont Lake, really shine during autumn, Twin Lakes is a joy in spring, with many things blooming and a new crop of water fowl. Walking along the north end of the lake, you come to a spot with a small waterfall that is perfect for keeping things in perspective. Plan ahead, because there are no restrooms here.

Police, Military, Army Golden Parachute Jumpers , Troopers , Security, First Aid including a Mother's station and the great transportation people, (tx Suzanne) restaurants and kind people making things work. Maps both physical and QRs. Beautiful well kept grass and a crew keeping the place clean. Bravo to Citi Bank for their golf activities- Put Put and Vertual - phone Charger stations, a real Bar, places to sit and AC and photo shot spot. Thumbs up to the hard working volunteers at Delaware Patillon Restaurant C-9 , so many diligently work behind the scenes and runners to put lunch foods and drinks out for the many visitor's coming to this event.( see pix)
