This review is actually for the ice skating rink inside the park…read more It is an outdoor skating rink so make sure you dress warm. The prices are affordable con paired to other ice skating rinks in New York. Rink access is $6 for town of oyster bay and $9 the public. Skate rentals are $5 each. My children don't have much experience with ice skating so having guides would have been helpful. Unfortunately, they do not have an available to rent here. Skate service is quick, they have ample staff to make sure check in and skate pick up is seamless. The rink attendants do a good job of checking on kids when they fall and making sure they're okay and not hurt. The concession stand offers hot chocolate and snacks. We definitely enjoyed hot chocolate after spending an hour on the ice. I enjoyed the cookie dough hot chocolate and cannolis. My kids had the peppermint and gingerbread hot chocolate. We also enjoyed the real wood fireplace to get cozy and warm. Definitely will come back!

Take in…read morethe scenery, the trails and the goat poo, while enjoying a little bit of suburban park reclamation! If you go up and down the long way, you can get a nice 3.5 miles in on this baby with some hills. Throw in a weighted vest, and you're getting yourself a solid light workout. There are already so many reviews, so just some notes: 1) Make your way around the current dump (also a Nassau County gem, seriously) and drive slowly. 2) Parking is tricky at certain times of the day and on weekends. Make sure to come before 9:30 on beautiful days, or else you'll be parking far, far away. More steps, If you really want them I guess. 3) Wear your sunscreen! Skin cancer is no joke, and it's pretty bright up top with not a lot of coverage if you walk around to the lake. 4) Beware...No lights in the bathroom and really not the best place to use the loo. There however is a shopping center close by... 5) Look out of all sorts of critters from birds to bugs.. including ticks.

The event was part of the "Music Under the Stars" series and free to the public through sponsors of the Town of Oyster Bay. The show was titled "The Beat Goes On - A Cher Tribute," 5 Stars to Lisa. She did a good job with songs, stories, a screen of clips, while she delayered clothing for the next segments and songs she perfomed. In the movie Burlesque also with the amazing Christina Aguilera, Cher got her dream of acting and singing. The song "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" got much recognition. While no one else can be Cher they say, copy is the sincerest form of flattery. Cher being amazing in all of her abilities in song and movies; A birthday in May and shes - how old? shhh. So, what's she doing now? Working on a new album and writing her memoir. The Audience that night was rather quiet, yet there were definate fans and followers. She did not say oh hey I'm LIsa she said Hi I'm Cher. It was kind of fun to allow poetic license to give the shared affect that Cher was there with you .

With three softball fields, it's basically built for tournaments and pick-up games. Parking was a breeze--lots right by each field, and since it was after Labor Day, no parking fee (pro tip: fees kick back in on Memorial Day). We set up a BBQ and picnic next to the first field. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches, plus some coal grills. But fair warning: the grills are pretty rough, so if you're serious about grilling, definitely bring your own. The softball area itself is perfect for family gatherings, company outings, or just a fun weekend with friends. Good energy, lots of space, and an easy setup for hanging out while cheering on a game. Can't speak for the rest of the park, but this section is definitely a win.

While the bike path hasn't made blush me often*, it does provide me with a some enjoyment and exhilaration. Similar to Lee M.'s experience, I too have come down bridges and around blind corners and almost hitting other bikers doing the same, and heard the terrifying screeching of tires on a near miss on a marked cross walk. Yeah. Don't worry, the enjoyable part is coming: Provided it's not crowded, this bike path is positively one of the most relaxing a beautiful rides on the island. Sure, places like the path through cedar creek park/Jones beach are like the slightly better looking cousin, however you're exposed to the angry beating sun and the windy shores. On this path, you encounter neither. You're not in full exposure. You're in the trees, in the shade. You hear the birds and see rabbits and squirrels. You have a lake and a creek. They are small hills too, to really work your legs. You just need to watch out for the following things: - Piles of Leaves/Loose dirt around corners - Small children running in front of your bike - Angry men in spandex, shouting, "ON YOUR LEEFT!" - Cars at the crosswalks Otherwise, you're good. This bike path gives you options. The lower portion has a well packed dirt and pavement. It's well marked and the pavement is equally well maintained. You can ride just 8 miles, or up to 20 past Bethpage park. Heck, you can stop in the park and do some of the dirt bike trails if you're feeling adventurous. Go out there and get some miles on your bikes! Just, please remember: ALWAYS STAY TO THE RIGHT OF THE PATH. Thank you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * Apart from the rare sightings of super fitness enthusiasts with Greek god-like bodies running very little clothing.. Oh my.

Visit Dates: February 14, 2021 & April 8, 2021…read more So I unintentionally pulled some moves (who the hell pulls accidental moves that might end up turning out well?) and suggested hiking here on Valentine's day with the guy I'm now seeing. We flirted on facebook and made a date to meet here on Valentine's day, I kinda wasn't sure if it was definitely a date or not because I'm fucking clueless sometimes but that's a whole other thing. Anyway so my first hike here Valentine's day, I missed the actual loop entrance which is at the intersection of Old Mill Road and Park Ave and ended up parking by an elementary school. It had snowed, it was cold and I prefer warm weather hiking but will do it in the cold and snow. The scenery was beautiful. However myself and the date that I wasn't sure was a date we didn't even make it a mile before we headed back. There was kissing involved with two middle aged people (glad I just made you throw up if you're reading this review) and I'll leave it at that and let your imagination go the rest of the way if you even want to dare. So today I came back before work to handle the hike by myself. I do hike with people sometimes but prefer to be alone in the woods. Sometimes but not always when I'm alone in the woods I come into some pretty hardcore life answers or ideas. I was in a rush to get through the loop as quickly as I could though before work so I didn't take the trail as slowly as I might have. I also got lost and missed the bridge to go over the lake and continue the loop trail, thankfully one of 4 fishermen I saw was able to give me directions. This trail is beautiful and amazing but there are certain parts where you don't have that lost in the woods feeling because of nearby highways, still it's an awesome somewhat easy trail to hit!
