I was hoping that because it was midweek in the afternoon that it would be less crowded but I was wrong. Their small slide wasn't working so there were cones around it. My 2 year old kept getting splashed in the face by the older kids running through but she didn't seem to mind. We spent about 45 min here and that was enough. There was an ice cream man parked as well as a beachfront with a playground to explore as well.

There are three pickleball courts, and all are well lighted. The parking lot is adjacent to them, so it will be less than a two-minute trek to and from your vehicle. The courts have smooth surfaces, and balls bounce off them well. I see a lot of good volleys here. There are also several tennis courts, a basketball court and a children's playground.

In plain view was a Park Police vehicle, so I felt safe. I also saw several people riding in a paddle boat. How fun! There are multiple clearly marked trails, which are great places to ride your bike or walk. There were several people feeding the ducks and geese in the lake, ignoring the signs that warn them not to do that. The two children's playgrounds are quite spacious, and leashed dogs are allowed. There are lots of picnic benches and huge tables. The restrooms have a lot of stinky toilets. Staff needs to clean them more often. Finally, BEWARE OF DEER TICKS! A few people said that they saw some, so bring some tick repellent.
