The food is good and fairly priced for being at a beach. They've added a bar area and it looks good. I'm not a drinker so I wouldn't know. The best thing they've added is closed showers. You can wash off and more showers outside to rinse feet. I love the upstairs area when I go in the winter it's protected, but you still get to enjoy the beach.

Dogs can't be here. Leave now.") Otherwise, we would have easily given this park five stars. Since we are now between dogs, we went out this morning and found the beach as lovely as ever, and still not crowded. About half of the visitors were not wearing masks. There was a thriving population of fishermen along the edge of the beach. During the season, the park is restricted to residents of Babylon - their web page did not mention any pricing option for non residents.

The concert had many vendors but due to me working the event I wasn't able to mingle too much but I did enjoy myself. Aubrey at 9 is a star on the rise with her fresh squeezed lemonade and it was good, she also has flavors you can add to the lemonade. The entertainment was awesome, the stage was filled with known and unknown artists and they all did well, I really enjoyed the young girl singing "so easy". Tanner is an awesome park where you can bring the kids to play, take a walk/run, enjoy a concert orsit by the water and clear your mind.

We were scheduled from 4:30-6:30pm but ended up staying until just after dusk because it was that good. The back picnic tables made the perfect setup for deep conversations, games, and even s'mores by the grill. A few of us took a walk down to the water and got in plenty of steps--it was totally worth it for the views! I'd love to come back and check out The Salt Shack next time. On a quick walkthrough, I noticed how beautifully it was decorated, and the staff I met were so friendly. Even from the picnic area, we could hear and enjoy the live music, which was such a fun bonus. I was also surprised to see their full volleyball tournament setup--it turns out a friend of mine was even competing that same day! Cedar Beach really has something for everyone, and I can't wait to return.

There is a long path that leads through the Salt Shack (always wanted to eat there but it was way too early to pop in for a meal) and out into the beach. The beach was quiet but the lifeguards were out. We let Bubs run around in the sand before leaving. I did see a bit of garbage on the beach...people please clean up after yourselves. But yes, we love the beaches on LI and we have our favs. This is one of them, but if you're not a resident of the town you will pay a ton to park and for a pass. I think they stop charging after a certain time. But if you want to go for a beach day, it's worth it if you pack the car and go!

Go to ny.gov keyword: Empire Pass. The same Pass can be used for unlimited visits at most parks and beaches throughout the State of New York. I passed by here on Memorial Day weekend. In plain view was a Park Police vehicle, so I felt safe. I also saw several people riding in a paddle boat. How fun! There are multiple clearly marked trails, which are great places to ride your bike or walk. There were several people feeding the ducks and geese in the lake, ignoring the signs that warn them not to do that. The two children's playgrounds are quite spacious, and leashed dogs are allowed. There are lots of picnic benches and huge tables. The restrooms have a lot of stinky toilets. Staff needs to clean them more often. Finally, BEWARE OF DEER TICKS! A few people said that they saw some, so bring some tick repellent.

Latest visit date: October 3, 2020…read more I got up later than I wanted to for exercise so I revamped my exercise plan and did some quick fairy dusting in Bayshore and than decided to hike Gardiner's park trail because I never knew they had a hiking trail until recently. I've been there a few times before a few times on the dog trail that leads to a tiny beach, one time with my son and stbx to try to exercise and let my son play on the playground. The park has a ton to offer playgrounds for kids, a hiking trail, a nice little lake, the dog trail I love to visit parks that have a lot of options. Definitely a beautiful park to visit.

Gardiner Park isn't advertised as a "dog park", but I didn't see one person without one. Before you head to the beach, get a drink of water and use the bathroom. Then take a nice long walk through the woods to the beach. There are free plastic bags for messes, garbage cans to throw them in, and lots of benches for when your best friend lays down and refuses to move. The beach itself is kind of gross, but the dogs don't seem to care and the owners are all very friendly. Jolene made friends with a Newfoundland and a Yorkie, a Lab and a Boxer. Then she brought home a stick that stank up us, her breath, and the car for days. She was a happy little girl!
