Juneteenth at Tanner Park was a good time. I saw many familiar faces, some from the neighborhood where I grew up, and some from work. The concert had many vendors but due to me working the event I wasn't able to mingle too much but I did enjoy myself. Aubrey at 9 is a star on the rise with her fresh squeezed lemonade and it was good, she also has flavors you can add to the lemonade. The entertainment was awesome, the stage was filled with known and unknown artists and they all did well, I really enjoyed the young girl singing "so easy". Tanner is an awesome park where you can bring the kids to play, take a walk/run, enjoy a concert orsit by the water and clear your mind. read more

Attended the Tanner Park NY Family festival with my wife today on Long Island. Perfect weather, sunny. Couldn't ask for a more beautiful day at this festival. There was a lot to see, walk around, and do. Family oriented and pet friendly automophere. Wish I didn't see so many owners with their pets. They can't leave their animals home for one day out? Interesting Car Show, not a whole lot of 1950s cars but some modern 1980s and upvehicals..dope This year, I'm a bit disappointed over the food vendor pricing. All the food dishes this time around were no less than $15 bucks. My wife and I ate an Italian sausage hero, 5 chicken legs, and 2 sprites, $31.00 total. What an incredible RIP!! WHAT HAPPENED TO $8 TO $10 BUCKS?? I gave this festival just 4 STARS based on that, it wasn't food priced family friendly. Dave Long Island NY read more

Tanner Park is located on Long Island's Great South Bay, this varied park with different athletic fields and other forms of amusements. Within the park are baseball, football, lacrosse, softball, and soccer fields, as well as basketball and tennis courts. Other activities include: a boat launching station, fishing, food service, marina, picnic area, playground, senior center, swimming at the beach and crabbing which is exactly what we did. I have also been to this park to see some free music concerts that are quite enjoyable during the summer. read more

A really great park in the TOB (town of Babylon). After always hitting up the Venetian Shores splash park, we ventured to this one before the close of the season. This location is a bit less crowded with Venetian and the water area is a little smaller. However, there are four different slides here which is super fun! I also love the tree house theme here, very cute. Guaranteed to cool off during a hot summer August morning. There is also a beach area here with a small area roped off for swimming. This park also allows for a more direct view of the water from the lounge chairs which is nice and relaxing. We haven't come to the playground this summer, but now that the weather is getting cooler and the water park is closed, we will for sure check it out. Seems like a nice place and lots to explore here. read more

Wonderful new "discovery" during my recent visit home to Long Island!! Other than some time at the MUCH more popular S. Shore ocean beaches, we never spent much time in this area while growing up on the N. Shore, so it's all NEW to me!! I've been seeing so many WONDERFUL sunset pics from here on FB (!!) recently, so I just knew I wanted to add it to my agenda my next time home. I think you have to live in the area to use the facilities during the summer, but we came on a warm-ish day mid winter, and it was beautiful and open to all. Great walkways, lovely views, excellent facilities, and apparently lots of concerts/special events during the summer season. From an awesome playground/splash park for the kiddies to a nice looking rec. center for seniors, there's definitely something for everyone here. I missed their famous sunset, but hopefully will be back soon to catch one "in person!!" Don't overlook this great local "getaway" location!! read more

Solid. Just a solid park. They have some jungle gyms over the grass areas, but the beach and the docked area have pleasant scenic views. read more

I love this park. It's the park my son grew up in. He played football for the CYL on this field from age 4-14yrs old. He met his forever friends through that football experience, even though many have moved away, grown up & moved on. They all still stay in touch, even after 22 years later. Tanner Park has that kind of pull on those who have grown up here. We return year after year for different reasons. Only to run into some long ago friends we haven't seen in ages. That's why my son was here on Thanksgiving. You can just go down to the park for a game of football every Thanksgiving morning. Just a pick up game of whoever isn't too hung over to show up. Usually all Copiague school alumni or folks that live in Copiague or Amityville but grew up going to this park. It's clean. It offers a variety of fields. Football, Soccer, Baseball. Tennis courts, Basketball & Skate Park. My family goes fishing & crabbing here also. There's a kids water park & playground. Also a couple of dog runs There used to be a HUGE field of Pokeweed that we picked every spring, but some uninformed idiot must've ripped it all out & pesticides it because now it looks like a wasteland where it used to be. But that's because people aren't familiar with their own native plants & what they are used for! Alas I digress....There is the fabulous Beach Hut which we all love which I gave a separate review for. They have good food & GREAT drinks there. But it's only open during the summer. Great neighborhood park! read more

The beach is so neglected....how do you expect ppl to come here and you can't even keep up with the maintenance?, it's such a small beach like you guys can't keep a small beach together ? Hire people to clean the beach up I'm sure kids would love it for a summer job !!The whole shoreline from start to finish is covered in Seaweed/grass/trash/broken sticks I don't understand how we are supposed to walk to the water ? 1/5 because this is unacceptable read more

Really good park. It's free so that's always good, too many parks like Jones, hecksher, sunken meadow, etc. Charge a fee. There's a killer skate park, a nice playground, boat launch, water park, dog park, and a beach. There's also tons of athletic fields. A nice touch is the Seaside restaurant and live summer concerts. It also looks like there's a full marina off to one side of the park. Check online for upcoming events. read more

This is a great park. I came here recently for the LI pet festival which coincided with the LI family festival. Parking was a suggested donation to the chamber of commerce (it was after-season hence the donation to park and not the typical $25 charge). Plenty of ball fields that look well-maintained and modern. A spray park and a dog run are tucked off the to the side. In the far back is a bay beach with a beach hut that sells beer, ice cream, burgers, snacks, etc. There is also a deck with tables and chairs if you don't want to bring your food down to the shore. There's a small fishing pier which made for great photo ops. They also have a boardwalk type area with seating if you want to kick back and watch the water. There is plenty of room and tons of things to do here. Definitely a great place to check out if you're on the hunt for a new beach or you want to play some soccer, football, or baseball. I would love to be a regular here during the summer months but I'm not a town of Babylon resident and the $25 parking fee is a bit steep. read more

A nice park down on the Great South Bay in Copaigue. Features a senior center, skate park, ballfields, showers, water park for the kids, pavilion, beach, and pier. The snackbar recently had its grand opening, and is done up sweet with black and white tile and retro decor. It features a full bar, frozen drinks, raw bar, and snacks (see pic for menu). They have live bands out here which attract a pretty good scene on the weekends. read more

Nice park along the South Bay in Copiague that has athletic fields, grassy lawns, playground, small beach and a nice dock for fishing. In the summer, enjoy free concerts at 7:30 on Wednesday nights. They also have the Beach Hut restaurant. It's a nice place to come relax, play some tennis, fish or what ever. Recommended for a visit. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go at any time. They have about 4 or5 baseball fields and an outstanding football field that has astroturf on it just like the pros there's also about six basketball courts anti skateboarding area right next to it and if you're into fishing all crabbing they have a pier that you can go on and it goes out into the water about 100feet where you can do both of them. And for the animals they have two doggy parks will you can let your dog run around the park they have one for little dogs and one for the bigger dogs with water and doggy bags to clean up and then in the summertime they have the nice Beach to go to and for the kids they have a nice water park for them to play in it is beautiful they also have a giant gazebo with a stage on it that they have concerts at all summer long there's also a Senior Citizen Center where the seniors can be to dance and play cards and whatever else they do in there and if you want to have a romantic evening with your girl or guy or just friends they have the beach hut which serves food and the most fabulous cocktails I've had in a long time just make sure you bring a designated driver with you.lol. they have live music at the beach hut every evening during the summer. So if you want to have some fun in the summer you can try this place out it's great read more

Woah! Marshall Tucker for free? Well sure, could have been the Boston pops for all I cared. What I liked was how nice this place was and the fact I could bring in my own beer. I was Visiting the area & my friend made plans to check this park out because of the sprinkler park for the kids. $25 dollars parking entry fee not bad , once we parked we made our way inside. Upon entering u walk into a small beach area nice area but the water was pretty icky to try & even get into there was tons of seaweed it was pretty overwhelming needles to say we didn't make it into the beach, surprised they don't make an effort to clean it up. The sprinkler park was very cool , plenty of space for the kiddies to run around & get wet they definitely enjoyed themselves. Adults can certainly enjoy the sprinklers too ... Gotta say part of me wanted to take that main tree home Lollll. Fun park for the kids , aside from the beach being too "dirty" with seaweed the grounds of the park itself are very nicely kept big open space plenty of tables to sit & a nice pier to overlook the water not a bad day spent specially if u have kids. read more

Really liked this park. Just moved out here and must say I was quite impressed. The landscaping was beautiful and massive. Different sections of the park was divided in generous portions. Not overcrowded by no means! Haven't been to a concert here but will soon. It even had a beachside with a small kiosk to endulge in some refreshments. There are plenty of shaded areas to sit. Benches etc. they even have a splash park for kids. I also really liked the broadwalk and dock that goes into the sea. It's really nice to walk on. I didn't give it 5 stars mainly bc of the mosquitos. I was bitten alive!!! They were unavoidable and everywhere! I still got bitten with repellent! I also did not see an outdoor track which would have been nice. But overall a nice experience. Will go back there again. I do recommend it esp if you have kids. read more

Such a unique and pleasant park- I've been here for a variety of reasons and each was a great experience! I came here a few years ago for an event- I forget exactly what it was called but it was a dog focused event that was ran very professionally and I remember having a great time with my friend and our dogs! Then I came back another time about a year or so ago with my husband to check out the skate park. The skatepark is like one of three on the entire island! It's pretty basic but maintained decently and pleasant. I just went back last week with my husband again to walk on the beach/boardwalk section and that was really nice too. read more

Its an Ok beach, if you live local. I go often enough because it is close to my home. The MINUSES - Not very well maintained. The grounds are not kept up very well & the bathrooms are just plain gross! The lifeguards are pretty pre-occupied in there own little roped off area. The water is gross, so much seaweed to get thru just to get in it. The Plus's the free concerts, the beach hut, the beach itself does not get overly crowded so you do not have people on top of you. The board walk, i use it for my nightly walks. You don't have to walk a mile to get to the beach. read more

Really nice waterfront park, with good facilities and 2 dog runs ( large dogs & small ) Would have given 5 stars , but signage is totally confusing and lacking. As you walk in there is a sign that says " no animals" . These are pertaining to the areas where they are at or pointing to, but if you weren't familiar with the park, and know the presence of the dog runs, it would be easy to assume that it meant the whole park. Not so! ( Town of Babylon - you need to fix this ! ) There also needs to be a map at the entrance. Signage also needs to improve from Montauk Hwy to the park, as often people looking for the park mistakingly drive into residential areas in South Copiague looking for it. During the warmer weather there are great concerts and car shows, mainly at the weekends, and there are also concession stands by the beach, and water park. There are also 2 nice piers that were rebuilt after Sandy. Overall a good park! read more
