I have been a customer at Kripps Jewelers for over 12 years now. They give amazing service and…read morethey are a very experienced jeweler! I used them myself in the past after inheriting a number of pieces and they made me several lovely updated pieces, using the stones I had. Now it's my son's turn - he is getting engaged and I took him to see Vin so we could talk about the rings his girlfriend inherited and about turning them into an engagement ring and later the wedding bands. The whole family who runs this place is fantastic to work with! They gave my son honest feedback about what would be the best option about doing custom work versus fitting the gems into a ready-made setting. They made it affordable with some financing, and all in all, it was a great experience, just as I knew it would be! And she said YES!!! The fiancee loves her ring and can't wait for the wedding day and to get the wedding bands. Thanks Vin and Family! Debi and son Mark

Have walked by this place several times. I recently had a necklace break and I decided to stop in…read moreto see if they could fix it. The woman who greeted me handed it to the jeweler on site and gave me a price of $80 to fix it. That seemed exorbitant and so I decided to shop around for the fix. I literally drove 2 miles and got the necklace fixed for $35. This small interaction is really all I need to know I won't be going back. I'm all for businesses making money but this is just gross. Do not recommend, unless you're into getting fleeced. Because I can't give it a zero, the business got a 1.

Excellent store with beautiful things and very helpful, knowledgeable staff. We were looking for a…read morevery specific thing (replacing a broken platter we loved) which they did not have, but they went the second mile brainstorming with us about where else we might look. Super friendly and helpful.

We just bought a house (yaaaay!)...and so the epic decorating battles have begun between my husband…read moreand I. The house is very 70's (think "Brady Bunch" house), so I want to go with a Barbarella vibe (if you have no idea who/what Barbarella is - friends off!). My husband, who has fully embraced my Asian heritage, wants to go full on "Farewell My Concubine". As you can imagine, this house is going to be a schizophrenic hot tranny mess. I can't wait! In one of our attempts to try to mesh our divergent and eclectic visions, we decided to take a look at some Turkish/Moroccan chandeliers for our dining room...and I remembered this adorable store in Tacoma Park. The Covered Market is a Turkish lighting *dream*. I have no idea what any of these things are called, but it was like a rainbow glass mosaic of *awesome*. In addition, the sales lady (manager? owner?) was so incredibly sweet and nice as we plagued her with 50000000 questions about colors, sizes and ridiculous needs (these mosaic balls, with that ring, but of that length, etc etc etc). Heh. And the prices weren't that bad. Yes, the chandelier we ultimately decided upon will be $500+, but we were pretty insane in what we asked for...so I'm quite sure we're the exception...not the rule. Super cute and I can't wait to figure out where to put the other hanging light that I spied. Shhhhhh...don't tell my husband...he doesn't know yet. Heh.
