Our very helpful salesmen, played his role perfectly. He was honest and straight forward, really gave the feeling that he was on the side of the customer. They won my business because our sales hustled to negotiate the price of a pre-owned MDX over the phone. He also verified features and texted me pictures which led me to visit the dealership. After the test drive the price wouldn't budge anymore, but that didn't matter because the relationship between price/features was spot on. Hubs car was worn out. He wanted something nice, but new used condition. After finding a Platinum Pathfinder we went to work on negotiations.. I do that in our household.., but we couldn't reach an agreement. Well, we left, told our salesman we would be out of the country for some days and if his manager had a change of heart to call. He did call while we were out of the country saying he had good news. Told him we would see him when we returned if still interested.. We flew in a day early and went to the dealer. Games being played again. Just erks me to know end. I asked my hubs, to let me handle it and told him why. He did..they didn't reach my number so I said let's go. Excuse, too tired, just flew in and I preferred another car we had seen before. We walked out only to be followed with OK, the boss approved it. So darn aggravating. We told them our financing couldn't be beat, was already pre-approved and the extended warranty would come from our financing agency. We put the car in both our names, but the next day my hubs agency said I would need a credit check too. I wasn't concerned, we have excellent credit, but just more wasted time. After I said it takes too long, I said just leave in hub's name, but that meant my hubs had to go sign an amended document which would take 30 seconds. The finance mgr at the dealer made him wait 3 hours. No excuse what so ever. I had also called that finance mgr 3 x the same day because my hubs' credit bureau hadn't received any documents from the finance mgr. We finally picked up the car the next day, but not before I had words with finance mgr and his head honcho and the big honcho. We walked out with the SUV he loved. The GM tried to make things right by saying he would fill our SUV up when he was empty. Drive from Magnolia to Katy? Well, hubs did anyway. Just need to say our salesman was really nice. All the other is "stuff" people who are less seasoned have to go through to buy a car is horrible to think about. I purchased a car (Acura MDX) ) from JE. I really liked the sales person, David. He was honest and very knowledgeable about the car. I felt very good about dealing with him. I purchased the car with a trade in and cash and was overall happy with the purchase. I also purchased several other warranty packages offered by JE. A few days after driving the car the car started pulling to the right and I returned the car to check for alignment. The technicians found issues with the rack and pinion steering and JE offered to replace the vehicle, like for like, with "0$" cost impact. I accepted and went to pick up the new car 7 days later. While transferring the paperwork from the first to second car I learned that several of the warranties I had just purchased would not transfer to the new car. I was told the cost impact to me was $6,700 to keep the same warranties that I had just purchased days ago. I protested this and after hours of going back between managers it ended up that I lost the NITRO warranty ($1179) + $350 additional money. I also lost all respect John Eagle management since they did not act in good faith from the start of the exchange. . My total cost impact to exchange the cars was over $1500 dollars. John Eagle clearly was not ethical and acting in good faith during this exchange. During the exchange I spoke with numerous managers who were unwilling to appreciate my situation and the fact that none of this was my fault. I do not blame John Eagle for the defective car but I do blame them for their unethical business practices during this exchange to attempt to grab more money from me. As a result of this, My buying experience was awful and hope I never repeat this again. As a footnote. The day after the exchange I received a call from a John Eagle customer service representative to ask about my buying experience. I explained my situation, how I was treated and my overall dissatisfaction. She showed empathy during the call and said she would get back with me either later that day or the next morning after her internal inquiries. She has not called or emailed. Since further supporting my opinion that John Eagle Acura is not customer focused. . This call further alienates me from the dealership due to no follow up. In summary, I would certainly stay clear of this dealership since they are not customer focused or ethical in my opinion. . Beyond the salesperson and service department The arrogance of their management is deplorable and they belittled me and my wife. I'm helping my mom shop for her next car and we shopped Lexus then drove down the road to see what Acura had so that we could make a decision. It was raining so the salesman politely held the door for us and greeted us. He asked us to check in with the receptionist then what he could do for us. We asked to sit in an MDX and if they had one on the floor. They didn't and said he had to pull it up for us - great. However, he needed my drivers license. I told him we weren't driving that day, we just wanted to see it. He said that is how they did it there and that he needed it. So we left. Called the next day to share my feedback with the general manager - left her a voicemail. Two days later - no response. Acura just lost a potential sale and that's unfortunate. I used to sell cars to make my way through college, I have bought numerous cars, and we pulled up in my wife's Porsche - nothing was warranting this ridiculous request. 3 years free oil change/loaner with new car purchase is a scam. Purchased my car Nov 2016, had 1st oil change at 5,000 miles, at the time the service writer talked me into getting the A1 service. After I researched the service, it wasn't due till about 7,500 miles. Took my car in today to get the 2nd oil change at 12,700 miles. Service writer said I had to get the B16 service since that maintenance minder says "service due", and quoted $500 for it. I Informed the service writer that I had the A1 done prematurely and will bring the car back at 15,000 to get the B16. Service writer said the maintenance minder is not millage based, but time based. So if I parked my car for 6 months and didn't drive it, I would still need to get the service done? He then said it will be $99 for the oil change only. Told him I purchased the car there and it should be free since I did my A1 service there. He said the oil change is only free if I do with B16 with him today, and if I only do the oil change, I do not qualify for the loaner. Got a quote at another dealership for $70 for synthetic oil change, $400 with taxes for the entire B16 service, which includes oil change, free loaner. John Eagle already included the cost of oil change in the forced service that you must get with them to get the "free" oil change. Even John Eagle's maintenance checklist the dealer provided (see pic) says the service is for 15,000 miles. A total scam. read more

Overall experience was below average. I had negotiated a price on Friday and I later returned on Saturday to buy the car. Despite having already agreed on the price and car I was going to buy, I was at the dealership for 6 hours waiting to proceed. The process was slow and customer service needs to be better. Also, before buying the vehicle I was told by the salesman that there were 2 keys for the vehicle. After completing the purchase I was told that there was only one key but they were working on getting the second one from the previous owner. In essence, I was lied to about a second key. I have called twice asking about it and they continue to tell me that they are waiting for the previous owner to drop it off. I have to say that I did not buy my Acura from John Eagle. I actually bought it from Goodson. However, John Eagle takes care of all of my warranty services. My battery just died one day and after Triple A gave it some life, I made my way to the dealership. I called in advanced so they were already waiting for me. My car was immediately taken to the back. I waited what seemed like 20-30 minutes and my car as done. The service guy was very nice and even updated my information in their system. I had also purchased some all weather mats from them on a prior occasion. I have never had any issues with them and even when one of the side signals burned out, they were quick to order it and replace it. I can not recommend them for car buying, but for service they are A-OK with me! read more

So this was my second stop at a dealership, I walked in and everyone was friendly. I showed them the car I wanted to look at and they brought it out right away. I didn't like the car once I saw it so EFI the sales man was pushing to show me other cars that they had. They gave me numbers and tried to sell me a 2018 TLX for 32,000. Mind you the car is two years old with a sticker price of a brand new car. He didn't even ask me what I thought he just brought me the pen and literally told me "Okay so here's the offer just sign here" So I told them no thank you and I was leaving and the manager comes over and just starts to bash and talk to me as if I do not know what I want or what I am doing. DONT GO HERE! On July 20, 2019, I purchased a 2018 Cadillac XT5. I went on vacation the day after we purchased it and did not drive it for a week. After driving it to work for the first time, which is about a 40 miles each way, I noticed the alignment getting slowly worse. The wheel was shifted to a about a 30 degree angle that was not there at the test drive. When it rained that day, I felt the car shaking and hydroplaning even at a slower speed. I decided to take it to Sewell Cadillac to check the alignment. I was notified that the passenger rear tire was replaced and there was passenger rear suspension damage. Sewell informed me it was not safe to drive as is. The mechanic informed me that this should have been detected by the safety inspection if the car was brought up. They quoted me nearly $1200 to fix. They took pictures verifying the bent and scrapes on the knuckles and bolts in the rear passenger side. I was not notified of any of this when I purchased the vehicle. I was told that John Eagle did a maintenance inspection in May and there was nothing on the car fax. On July 28th, I spoke to Took my sales agent and he gave me his manager's, TJ's number. I left multiple messages and emails with people I saw on the website and I finally got a response. I communicated my issue and how John Acura sold me a lemon. The so-called maintenance inspection should have caught this, which they claim came back with no issues. The manager at Cadillac even spoke to John Acura's GM and told him the issue and that he saved all the parts and pictures verifying the safety damage. When I spoke to the GM a couple of days ago, he said there is nothing they can do cause I bought it "as is." even though I bought it because it had a safety inspection. I am filing complaints with the TX Attorney General, Better Business Bureau, etc. I would expect this behavior at a small used car sales lot but not at a so-called reputable company. I will never buy Acura or visit a John Acura dealership again. And if anyone asks, I will advise them the same. read more

Took the brand new car in for bad alignment from the factory (drifts right), the service advisor kept saying it is normal and won't fix it for me... Without even test drive or observing the car! Finally their supervisor went on a drive with me and agreed there is an issue and correcting it partially by rotating tires but still refused to do an alignment. I feel cheated. A day before visiting John Eagle, I made a deal at another dealership for a brand new 2019 Acura ILX with Luxury Shield. Then I came in to John eagle to check out a 2016 CPO they had on offer. I checked it, didn't like it and was about to leave. I was asked by their sales person (Keivan) what I was going to get instead. I told him about the deal I made. He then told me that he could convince his sales manager to beat the deal by almost $1000, he lured me into it. Then arrived Jammar.. he promised that he will beat the deal by $750 and that he could get the car in within 2 days. That sounded pretty good to me. Basically, the deal included brand new 2019 Acura ILX PLUS Luxury Shield for $750 less than what the other dealer has offered me. I confirmed this with Jammar multiple times as it sounded too good to be true. I was right! Jammar then made me call the other dealership with whom I made the deal and cancel it so that John Eagle can buy it from them and sell it to me. 2 days later, Keivan called and said they just had a new inventory truck deliver the car I wanted and that I could come and purchase it. I made an appointment for that following Friday 1/18 @ 11:30AM. At 10:30AM, Jammar's boss Herman calls me and tells me that they cannot honor the deal and they would lose money if they sold it to me for that price. WTF?? I was pissed. An hour before I was all set to purchase the car for which the deal was made days in advance, the General Sales manager tells me he is breaking the deal? Never happened to me. When Herman realized that his guys screwed up, he offered me "compromise" deal, which was that he would sell the car for the agreed price but he would not include the Luxury Shield that was earlier promised. That is not a compromise. That is bull shit and bad sales conduct. This other dealer on the other hand called me to make a counter offer, that he is willing to go down on his price by $500. I got the deal. I love the dealership from where I ended by buying the car and I'm glad I did not fall for cheaters like John Eagle. read more

I took my Acura ILX for service last Thursday to John Eagle Acura for a simple oil change. They charged 175.00 for that service which was basically an oil change. I left the dealership and shortly afterwards I began to smell gasoline. I became worried so I took off work on Friday again to take the vehicle back to John Eagle Acura. They kept my car for a few hours and stated there was some spillage on the engine and they stated they cleaned it up and sent me on my way. That evening in my driveway I noticed a huge oil leak in the driveway. I called John Eagle again. I again had my wife take my car and drive 30 miles back to the dealership. After keeping the vehicle the whole day they discovered that the drain plug was not tightened and it was leaking oil fluid after the initial oil change. It is so scary that my wife and I drive the car 30 miles back and forth everyday with that type of leak. I spoke to the general manager who was completely apathetic and simply stated she could give us 15 percent off the next service for 3 days of headache and incompetence. You would be better off going to a Jiffy Lube and getting the oil change for 19.99 rather than using this dealership. read more

I had the worst experience at John Eagle Acura. An agreed upon price was negotiate prior to me coming to the dealership and it was the only reason I made the trip from Austin. We had email correspondences stating from Dasmine Vilella that she went through her superior and he was aware of the pricing and pending deal. I had gotten into a car accident a couple months prior and I was ready to purchase a car for the right price. When I arrived, I was greeted by another salesperson to assist me. I test drove the 2 cars that we spoke about. Once I had came to a conclusion on which car I wanted, I was ready to purchase. I explained to the salesperson that I had discussed pricing with Dasmine and about the email. He went to the back to speak to Dasmine which she never came out. Instead, his manager came alongside him by the name of Rick Canalas. Rick kept on insinuating that there was a miscommunication and there was no recollection of the communication. When I showed him the email, he kept on dismissing it. He was nothing but rude and unapologetic. He also mentioned that they would be losing money if they went any cheaper than what he was trying to offer me. Well, I just saw on autotrader that the purchase price for the cars just got reduced. So, so much for that. Nonetheless, they did not honor the deal. I genuinely had the worst experience and I have never been so disappointed in an establishment. It was a waste of my time and energy. I bought a preowned Honda Accord from this location from the Sales Person Avery Barksdale in Sept 2014. He was amazing and helped us with the selection and getting us a good deal. This review is about the horrible after service I experienced here. If you are not purchasing a new Acura and you go for an issue with your extended warranty service, you would always be looked down like you do not belong there. The bad experiences when I visited them for the extended warranty which I took with them. Long Story short, each time I visited there, I was always unwelcome. I was always given "Why is the guy here in this place" kind of look by my Service Consultant. This time when I visited on 03/15/17, I was being asked sarcastic questions like "No one brings the car for issues after 3.30 or so late ". My question here is if you do not like your customers bringing your car to you after noon, then do not allow booking online appointments at first place. Second thing, When I told the same service consultant on the issues I had with the car and wanted him to fix it for me, the first thing I was told it will be $140 to check on what is wrong with the car. It's as though I'm lying about the issues with my car and wanted to just have passing my time there. It's a working day for me and please be mindful of that. I was asked what other options do I have, and the service consultant asked me to take to a mechanic and check on the vehicle and get to know what is wrong and bring a list of issues written by the mechanic. My question here- Why should I take my car to a mechanic and narrow down what is wrong and again come back to this dealership to fix it. Why cannot John Eagle Acura Service Consultant, trust what the customer is saying to them at first place? I took my car to another mechanic shop (Christian Brothers), and they agreed immediately at least believed in my problems and they did a checkup and confirmed it. Then the mechanic shop guys also helped me with getting my extended warranty account number and helped me in getting the approval and fixing it for me According to the extended warranty, I need to take my car to the Acura dealership and they would need to give me a loaner until the issue are fixed. This was not done this time. The service consultant gave all the needed information to the mechanic shop and when I called the service consultant, I was told it was OK for the mechanic shop to repair it. My question- Who would give me a loaner car and what do I do until my car is repaired at the shop? The service consultant did not bother to ask that question either. This time he was very sarcastic on the call and when I was wanting to know why was a few things not covered, I was told to call the extended warranty company directly and talk to them about it. The service consultant just made sure that I was never coming back to the dealership. You did lose my business too at that point. To the Service consultant- "I will not be coming back to your dealership again!!"- Hope that makes it you happy and I'm not wasting my time there. Please be respectful of others and if you do not like people owning non-Acura vehicles coming to your showroom, then please don't sell it either. read more

Purchased a 2019 RDX Memorial Day Weekend. Got home and plugged the the data stick into the computer to review the sales contract. We found that Edgar the Finance Manager added services that weren't discussed. The monthly payment stayed at what we had discussed with our sales person, but the length of the loan was extended. My husband and I immediately contacted the dealership and took the steps per the sales contract and the dealership to get refunded back $5100 for the service warranty and $900 for the key replacement services. We have spent almost 3 months trying to get back the money that is owed to us. Calls and emails to Edgar (Finance Manager), Alice (General Manager), Jennifer and Ashley (customer relations) are almost always ignored. At one point we got a hold of Alice (GM) She said it would take 6-8 weeks to get our money back from Lithia the dealership owner. August comes and still no check. 8/4/2021 and we finally get a hold of Alice (GM). She says check was cut and our bank will receive it soon. On 8/23 I finally got a hold of someone at the dealership. Ashley (customer relations) answered the phone. She couldn't find the check or tell me anything about where the check was supposed to be coming from. She put me on hold to talk to Alice to ask about the check. After being on hold for 35 minutes I hung up and had the operator transfer me to Ashley again. She said Alice was on the phone and would call me back before the end of the day. It's 8/25/21 and I still haven't heard anything from anyone. My husband and I have been polite throughout the last few months and have given them the benefit of the doubt. At this point we feel very taken advantage of and just want the money that is owed to us back. read more

I'm a proud ACURA owner and have been for the past 3 years. Every ACURA dealership I've gone for Maintance/oil changes has always been 60.00. Regardless of the city they have always charged me this amount. I came to ACURA in Katy and was told I would be charged 110$ for the same oil change. I asked if they could give me a better price and was informed that they couldn't. I told them so your willing to lose clients and they said yes. It's a shame they are willing to lose than to gain. I had a slow leak in a tire and had I appreciated the good tire balanced last time my car was serviced, so I called on Friday afternoon to see if I could get it repaired. I arrived about 4pm and after 45 minutes I was told the nail had been removed and tire repaired. Car was washed and vacuumed too. When I went to sign my bill, it was for $0.00 - complimentary service! WOW !!! Fast, quality work and very pleasant service personnel - especially Scott Sheley. read more

Great service, and we even had the manager come out and work with us. We haggled a little, but it didn't feel like it, and they were not playing games with us by keeping us waiting long. This is the first time we felt like the buying experience was actually enjoyable. We usually go to Beck and Masten, but the last experience left us wanting a better experience. While I like my Acura that I didn't originally purchase from this location because the Sale's team was horrible, super pushy and paid the old school car dealership games. I come for regular service and maintenance. Every visit for the last few years has gotten worse. The service team isn't knowledgeable, lacks customer service, but I begrudgingly come. I've had the Service Rep lie to me about what service is needed, lie about loaner vehicle availability and tried not to accept valid discounts. I cannot express how much I would encourage anyone to AVOID this car dealership. I was using an agent to assist me in purchasing a vehicle. He arranged to look at a pre-owned RDX. I had a family member test drive it on a Wednesday, and decided I wanted to purchase it. The sales person who assisted her was nothing but kind and helpful- however, the New Car Sales manager was by far the most unprofessional and disconcerting sales people I have ever dealt with. At the time of test drive, I was told by him that I could put a deposit on the car for them to hold it for me (I'm from out of town). The next day, I spent the entire day trying to get in contact with the New Car sales manager to tell him that I intended to purchase the vehicle and inquire about the deposit. I was consistently sent to voicemail and my calls were never returned, and 3 emails were ignored. Finally, Friday afternoon (two days of trying to get into contact), I was able to speak to him on the phone after calling 3 times in a row. He confirmed that I could make a deposit and said he would put me in contact with the online sales department. I received an email from them but never received a call back. Finally, at 6pm on Friday, I received a call from the New Car Sales manager. He COMPLETELY retracted his previous statements (made by himself and several others) and told me that because "it's the end of the month, I can't take a deposit and hold this car for you." He said he "cannot hold used cars", which was the complete opposite of what he had said before- so he was either being dishonest in the beginning, or being dishonest in that moment. He said he had to "meet sales goals". He told me he would call me on Saturday evening to tell me if the car had or hadn't sold. Much to my un-surprise, I never received a call from him. Finally, I contacted the initially sales person who test drove the car on Monday morning, and he informed me that the car (the car that I was told I could put a deposit on to hold until I could get there on Monday) had sold on Saturday. I am completely disappointed and disgusted at this behavior. This is the epitome of shady car salesmanship, and this dealership and this behavior is the reason why sites like Carvana and Vroom exist- because no one wants to have this intensely negative experience. Every step of the way (besides the pleasant interactions with the actual sales person who gave the test drive) was unpleasant and felt "icky". I am actually happy it worked out this way, because I can't imagine what more dishonesty and shady practices would have come up down the road. Do yourself a favor and do not give this dealership your service. read more
