They claim they're being transparent - ha - sounds like greed. As others have written, you ask for a specific color and the stylist colors your hair with their choice. I now have a dark band of hair at my roots that will take years to grow out. I specifically told the stylist that I use 6N, instead she went darker with a 5 and now I'm stuck with this dark band. I went to another salon to try and get the incorrect color lifted. Forty five minutes of hair color CPR did nothing, concluding that she DID NOT use a semi-permanent dye as requested. Talk about total incompetence!!!!!!!!! You might have to take an uber from where you are able to find parking. The salon has no parking, side streets are for apartment renters and the street they direct you to park on is bumper to bumper with parked cars from other businesses. Be prepared to be VERY disappointed if you decide to make an appointment here.
