Fish Tacos

I honestly had pretty low expectations of Joeys (maybe because this spot was a former Timbers?!). We met with our run group and I wasnt even going to get something to eat.. but decided to try. I ordered the fish tacos and wow. They were so tasty that I almost forgot to take a pic! Our server was great too - we had a group of 12ish people and she was able to stay on top of everything. Side note- on Wednesdays they have music bingo!

Food is always amazing here. Had to do another review to show more pics of the food. The bar is so nice. Large dining area and then separate bar area. Service is always super friendly. Tonight's feast was B.Y.O.Burger (I did a bacon mushroom cheeseburger) and we also go a Sourdough Melt and a side of onion rings. The onion rings literally look like donuts! They are huge and so crispy. A must have. Everything was amazing, as usual. The burger and patty melt burger were both so flavorful.

We got there around 12ish and only a couple folks at the bar and the waitres/bartender was dealing with large take out orders. The place is huge, separate dining area in the back past the bar. Traditional gaming setup at the bar(15 machines interspaced around) lots of high tops in the bar area and a nice patio around the building . I think the patio is dog friendly. So we ordered the variety show as an app. Gigundo pretzel filled with cheese curds, fried pickles, pigs in the blanket etc. ordered the cheese fondue as a dipping sauce. Quite frankly we were filled up just nibbling on that and we really didn't even make a dent in it. For the mains (we knew would probably just go home as takeout).... Squidlett ordered the BLT. (Must of had 8oz bacon on it) with fries. Hubs had the brisket sandwich with home made chips. The brisket was cut in cubes and short strips and was juicy and a fairly large portion. I had the perfect smashy, two patties with tomato and onion and sauce. Probably about 6-8 ounces of beef. Aldo with the homemade chips. Hubs and I each had a beer from their large selection. All in all, probably a 4.75 star meal but since they gave us a 20.00 sign up discount and applied a generous military discount, we were super happy and will definitely return. The bartender says it's busier in the evenings and depending what's going on across the street at the hospital. The have "hoppy hours" and DLL sorts of specials. A good place to pass a few hours me thinks!

Weekday, just before lunch. Ample parking. Can't speak about the weekends or evenings but it's a pretty decent size plaza. It's free too. Service was excellent. Greeted immediately. Sat quickly. The team pitched in with everything from refills to a to-go container. At least four different team members all helped. Then the food. I went with a Western Omelet adding Jalapenos and Sausage. Comes with hash browns. See pics. Enjoyed it but wished there was a hotter pepper to add over the Jalapeno. The hot sauce was ok but not the same. The hash browns are on the "raw" side which went well with the Omelet - for my taste that day. I vary depending on what I'm having - and this time, it was nice not being well done. If you like it well done, you'll have to ask. The decor is all vehicle related going with the name. Person in charge of the music played all hits from my generation. There's a small bar, some TV's and the layout will accommodate groups. Like this place. I'll try the lunch/dinner items and (adult beverages) and report back.

It took a while for my eyes to adjust after entering because it's very dark in there. Lots of televisions to watch around the bar. Three people were sitting at the bar and I chose to sit at one of the back tables. Only the drink menus were on the table. The attendant behind the bar yelled from behind the bar to ask if I wanted to order anything. I was thinking "oops, was I supposed to order at the bar and then go sit down?) I yelled back over the music that I would like to have the espresso martini. I prepared to leave my table to pick it up; but she brought it to me. The glass wasn't traditional when we filled up close to the rim, but it was delicious. I requested a food menu and she brought it to me. I ordered the buffalo style buffalo wings with buffalo sauce and ranch dipping sauce. 7 party wings (5 drums and 2 flats) celery, and carrots for I believe it was $18. No fries or anything comes with it. The wings were cooked well. A couple of the drums were too dry on the end to eat. But the flavor was decent. Another attendant came out. She approached the table to ask if everything was OK. I requested the check and paid. I left my tip with the girl behind the bar as I was leaving. I'd like to come back and try the fish and chips. I didn't notice that on the menu, but I see the pictures on the Yelp page.

Great service by Alix who kept Brando's waterbowl filled and an endless supply of ice cookies.

The dining area and outdoor patio give a rustic country kitchen feel which suits their fresh seasonal ingredient filled menu. We have honestly never had a bad meal here. The food tends to disappear before we get to take pictures, sorry that's lacking. I've read the service here isn't good, but we've either been lucky or just have come on good days because we haven't had any issues. The only issue that is kind of a nonissue is that it gets busy fast, of the 3-4 times we've eaten here we've probably come 10 times and there was a loooong wait so we decided to go elsewhere. My reservation at 5:30 p.m. required navigating rush hour traffic, and I would gladly repeat the trip. The service is exceptional, particularly from Derek; I highly recommend requesting him. The first floor of the restaurant was very cool! You could see the cuts of meat in the refrigerators and there is also a bar on the left of the entrance. There was a beautiful chandelier by the staircase as well. The upstairs dining area was very plain however. Bare walls, industrial type of standard light fixtures. The server recommended the skirt steak which we ordered MR. Also ordered the ribeye, portobello mushrooms fries and the steak tartare to start. I've never seen a steak tartare come out brown as it shows in the photo. I was so hungry, so I tried some, assuming the kitchen wouldn't send out bad raw meat. It tasted ok but the more I kept eating the weirder I felt about the color. We asked the manager if this was a common occurrence as my experience with steak tartare had never been this way. She said that it shouldn't come out brown and said she'd take it off the menu. She then later came back to explain that the lime juice that's in the marinade oxidizes the raw beef so that's why it's brown... which is an acceptable answer I suppose? It just felt weird bc I couldn't find any photos of browned steak tartare on google when looking up the restaurant menu. The steaks we ordered MR came out. The ribeye was cooked decently but the skirt steak was more on the rare side so we had to send it back for an oven heat up for 1 more minute. I enjoyed the skirt steak but it was too sweet to enjoy the whole thing. Cooking it in the oven for another minute made it even sweeter. It tasted like over sweetened Korean galbi in steak form. I'd say the portobello fries was my favorite dish and decided to take the rest to go to pick at in the hotel. After dinner we were given the dessert menu which didn't really call out to me, but since we told the server it was our anniversary, they gave us complimentary sorbet which was very nice. I liked the sorbet quite a lot but I was pretty full so didn't get to enjoy much of it. The gesture was kind though. At the end, the steak tartare was not taken off our receipt so we had to ask for that to be taken off since the manager told us she'd do that. The server gladly obliged. I want to say, that there was a female employee - maybe a busser, who worked really hard to be attentive with our waters and clearing our plates. I wish I got her name! I believe she was Latina with a ponytail if that helps at all working Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend at 6PM. All in all, the experience was not as great as my husband's first time at the Henderson location - he said the cuts were so much bigger before and the ambience of the Henderson location was more fine dining-esque. But the economy is tough lately so I figured the quality could've easily gone down. Because the price points were very reasonable, I thought it was up to par with what we paid. Probably won't go back unfortunately but it was great to try it out. The plaza it is in is called Trivoli(?) and I thought it was a cute spot with a lot of shops. Although everything was closed by 8, we walked around to digest a little and enjoyed the evening.

O.M.G.! This is my new favorite restaurant in Las Vegas! From the moment we walked in Sherlyn at…read morethe hostess stand was super nice and let us wait for a table that we the wanted. Mind you, the place was PACKED!! (We did have a reservation and I suggest you get one as well!) We got to our table and Rosa was our server. She is the Bomb! Amazing suggestions and was very honest about portions even when we started ordering half the menu. Maybe not half but we had a lot of choices! We started with a bottle of Merlot and the whipped brei. Absolutely amazing! We were googling "how to make whipped brei" before we were even done! Next were the lemon ribs! (I'll have to look back to the menu to see what they are actually called) but holy sh*t they were GOOD!!! Basically a pork rib with some kind of lemon pepper type seasoning that was deep fried into heaven! Freaking amazing ranch and buffalo sauce that I'm sure was made in house! We also got a side of green goodness that was charred broccolini on a bed of the best tahini! F-ing amazing!! Wago skirt steak with chimichurri and the garlic shrimp dish. That was some of the best shrimp I've ever had!! Holy mother of god this is some of the best food I have ever had in Vegas! Kat the Wine Goddess came to check on us and when we mentioned it was out 13th wedding anniversary, she had a slice of the best olive oil cake with a citrus icing delivered to our table... Have you ever heard someone from from the South say something is "I'm gonna slap my momma!" good? well there it is!! Rosa had been there all day so Edith took over our table... also amazing!!! Juan came by with a special drink poured like a smooth garden hose directly into our mouths! Haha! Andrea keep our table spotless and gave great suggestions as well! We asked if Chef Jackson could come out and he immediately did. We told him how absolutely incredible all the food was and he was so nice and appreciative! We also stopped by the window to tell Chef Mick the same. I truly don't remember the last time we went to a restaurant where every single member of the staff was absolutely amazing and the food..... WOW!! I'm just gonna say you are absolutely stupid if you do not try out this restaurant! This is our new go to place whenever we have friends in town and whenever we wanna go out for a really nice meal! And not only was the food amazing the prices were very reasonable as well!! Make a reservation and get yourself to Ada's! You will not be disappointed!! Thank you guys so much for making our anniversary special! Jackson and Gleyson

There is something truly special about food that allows the ingredients to speak for themselves, and Ada's executes that beautifully. Every bite was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. We also appreciated how accommodating the staff was with our stroller, as our little plus one now joins us on all our dining adventures! The atmosphere was warm yet sophisticated, with an elegant ambiance that made the entire experience feel inviting. What makes Ada's particularly special to us is its location. My husband and I actually had our very first date at Esther's Kitchen, which previously occupied this exact space, making this visit especially sentimental! Knowing that Ada's is owned by the same team behind Esther's Kitchen gave us high expectations, and the food certainly lived up to them. Compliments to the chef for an absolutely spectacular seasonal menu! Ada's offers beautifully executed small plates with a tapas-style approach. My husband and I enjoyed everything family style so we could share everything, which I recommend everyone doing. They also of course, have an extensive wine list which is impressive and also offered different specialized cocktails! From the service to the food, everything was amazing here. Esther's kitchen was a huge legacy to fill, and Ada's melted in perfectly. We can't wait to come back! What we ordered: - Whipped Brie + Brioche - Mussels + Coconut Broth - Burrata + Cider Pop Tomatoes - Cured Wagyu + Beef Fat - Tuna Ceviche + Leche de Tigre - Hangar Steak + Broccolini - Maitake Mushrooms - Chocolate Cheesecake + Mole Drinks: - The Evening Standard - Vermentino - Pala Soprosole I HIGHLY recommend the Whipped Brie, Mussels in coconut broth, Burrata with cherry tomatoes and Watermelon Tuna Ceviche.
