My wife and I stopped in to Timbers on Cheyenne to kill 45 minutes. We sat down at the bar and we each had 2 beers. I did not gamble, but my wife took $100 out of the ATM and gambled $80. I expected to pay for my beer, since I did not gamble, but figured my wife's beers would be comped since she gambled $80/45 minutes. We asked for our bill and we were charged for all 4 beers, totaling $30. When I asked why my wife's were not comped the waitress said the rule is at least $1 hands need to be bet. My wife gambled the first $20 with 3/card Keno with .75 hands and the next $60 with 4 card Keno and $1 hands. So, if I played a ton of money, but at .75 hands I wouldn't get a single drink comped? This really is a not okay to treat people who spend money at an establishment. We are both successful professionals and could not understand their justification. Needless to say, the $20 my wife had remaining from the $100 was going to be the waitresses tip, but when she charged us for all 4 beers, she got her 20% or about $5. We will never give Timbers another cent of our money strictly out of principle.

This is my second time coming here. I've only ever come for food/drinks. The cocktail selection is pretty standard with some classics and some Timber's signature cocktails. The food menu is entirely American: country style breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches & wraps, and standard appetizers. My first time going in was during the outside renovations a few months ago. I'm glad to see they've finished and the restaurant exterior is spruced up. The food was decent from what I remember, no issues but definitely nothing memorable. Today I came in and ordered a Timber's Tea and a Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast. Portions are enormous, definitely a steal for the price. Most meals are in the $9-15 range. They also often have BOGO or raffle deals. From todays meal: eggs were average, potatoes came with peppers (yum) but were a little soft for my liking, the steak was tender and delicious, but it came with less gravy than I'd anticipated. The service is always good. I will say, it does get packed and food service is slow depending on the time. I came in about 3:30-4pm on a Friday and spent a little while waiting for food. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I will be back. The food is average, but the prices and hours are worth it.

    Guinness poured well 02/25/21

I had eaten at this Timbers off and on for years and never got around to reviewing it. In general, the bar food was decent bar food. This review though, is specifically regarding why I have thoroughly enjoyed my recent visits in 2021 and why this has become my "go-to" local bar. So, my wifey is still a little COVID-19 scared. Everyone has a right to their own opinion and feelings on the pandemic and the purpose of this review is not to judge anyone. It has affected everyone differently. My fear vastly differed from my wife as I work as a first responder and have already been vaccinated. I say all this because it has taken me almost a year to get my wife back in a bar. I was finally able to on my birthday, February 17, 2021. I talked her into going to this Timbers as the last decently poured Guinness I had before the pandemic was poured here and she was essentially guilted into going due to it being my birthday. When we walked in, she was surprised and gladdened by the elaborate COVID-19 precautions in the bar. Each machine at the bar was freshly cleaned with a sign indicating so, they were cordoned off from one another by large clear plastic barriers and every table was spread out. As she became more comfortable she watched as the bartenders quickly cleaned each station every time someone moved. It far exceeded her cleanly expectations. On that visit she had the chicken club wrap with sweet potato fries which has become her new favorite and she has had the same meal the four times we have visited since. I have also switched to that wrap because it is "semi-healthy" bar food and quite yummy. Each time I have an new bartender I ask them how well they pour Guinness. None of them have taken it rudely and have all tried their best to pour their best. I, being a Guinness snob, have searched far and wide for well poured Guinness in the Las Vegas valley. This simple, local Timbers pours a better Guinness then most Irish Pubs in Las Vegas. Additionally, the local crowds who frequent this bar are super chill and there has never been any sort of drama which can plague other bars. All the bartenders have been super friendly and attentive. The machines don't crush your hopes and dreams when you play and the experience here has been everything we had hoped for in a local bar. In summary, if you live in the area and are looking for a new pub to call home, this is your place.

I'm so glad we found this hidden gem! During times like these it is a little scary to find a place you can have your drinks; and some bar food; but we found it! You don't need a reservation, but you do need a mask! Timbers was a breathe of fresh air! The entire restaurant is as safe as can be with social distancing, the staff was friendly as soon as we walked in, our server was fast, and quick, and the food was fresh! You can't ask for much more! We were even impressed, they knew some of the customer's names that were coming in! A real local's place!! We were really craving bar food, so we got chicken fingers and chicken wings, subbed one platter for sweet potato fries; and got drinks! The price we paid for the food was extremely worth it, the drinks were on happy hour, and phenomenal, and the ambiance was great for a Friday night! If you have a night where you need a drink, and some appetizers/dinner, COME TO TIMBERS! You will not regret it!! We'll be back Timbers! Those huge chicken fingers were amazing! The food was tasty, seasoned perfectly, the Buffalo sauce was perfect on the food, not drenched; or dry! I'll be back for more happy hour, wings, and fingers!

Don't miss out on the amazing food - still open 24/7 during construction!!

The food itself was delicious and clearly well prepared. One thing to note is that the dinner menu does not offer many options for more selective eaters, but the staff was incredibly accommodating. Overall, between the stunning views, great food, and flexible service, it was a really enjoyable dining experience. I've been here a few times and I'm never disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was warm and inviting -- the dining room feels elegant but relaxed, and if you can snag a seat with a view of the lake, it's absolutely worth it. We started with a couple of appetizers that were beautifully presented and flavorful, and the entrees didn't disappoint either. The menu offers a nice balance of modern American cuisine with some creative twists, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I ordered lobster of course and hubby had steak. Service was attentive without being overbearing -- our server checked in just the right amount and was great with recommendations. The pace between courses was perfect, making the meal feel leisurely and enjoyable. Bonus points for the Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys -- a fun option if you're looking for a weekend treat. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want a nice dinner with a view, this place delivers. Highly recommend! Will be returning soon :)

We walked in to a nearly empty restaurant - just one other party there. The dining area was big and clean. The waitress was lovely! She quickly offered kids menus and crayons to my kids. She was very considerate and whispered while my toddler napped. We decided on the chicken tender basket for my kiddos, I got the mahi mahi tacos, and the hubby got a pot roast sandwich. Everything was pretty decent. Not horrible but also not the best. Except the fries! The fries were the best part! I ended up ordering more to take home. They're perfectly crisp and airy. I really should have gotten 2 take-home orders of fries because my kids devoured them as soon as we got home. This Edge of town is a sweet little hidden gem. The ambiance leaned heavily on dim lighting, creating a darker atmosphere than I prefer--I like to clearly see and enjoy the food in front of me. That said, the overall vibe was easygoing, making it a comfortable spot to hang out with friends over a meal and a beer or even for a casual family dinner. Service, however, was a bright spot. Our main server was friendly, and the rest of the team who assisted throughout the meal were just as pleasant. Our appetizers came out quickly, though we did have to wait a bit for utensils. We started with the crispy calamari, which had a nice crunch without being greasy and a tender interior, but the lemon pepper sesame seasoning didn't quite come through--I was expecting a bit more flavor. The marinara felt fairly standard, and the garlic aioli leaned subtle. The spinach and artichoke dip was underwhelming and noticeably salty. The chips had a good crunch, but lacked flavor and tasted a bit like cardboard. For entrées, we ordered the Parmesan-crusted chicken with lemon Chardonnay butter sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, white cheddar mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. The chicken was lightly crusted and not greasy, but the sauce was nearly nonexistent. The Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil felt more like a garnish than a true component of the dish. The mashed potatoes were smooth with a subtle flavor, while the broccoli was simply steamed and lacked seasoning--I had to add salt and pepper myself. For a dish like this, I look for a sauce that ties everything together, and that was missing here. We also tried the All-American smashed burger with fries--two beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, pickles, signature sauce on a brioche bun. The fries were a standout--served hot with that satisfying crunch and just the right amount of seasoning. The burger itself, however, was fairly ordinary and on the dry side. The sauce didn't add much--there was very little of it, and what was there left an aftertaste I didn't care for. That said, I did enjoy the root beer float and the fries, which ended the meal on a better note. Everyone's experience can differ--this was just mine, so I'd say try it and see for yourself. A mix of hits and misses, with a few highlights worth noting. 2.5 stars Respectfully
