Decided to meet up with some friends to catch up and what better place then a bar. First time coming here had a friend tell me the food is amazing, as soon as you walked into the place I was greeted by a waiters she told us to take any table that's free. Found a booth and came over a waitress, her name was Leola. She was very friend and gave us a drink menu and food menu so we can look over everything. I went for pink lemonade to start out with and for an appetizer I had to get chips and artichoke dip, one of my favorites. Then for dinner I went and played safe by getting chicken fingers and French fries, and my friend went and got honey hot shrimp and fries. Been to this location a few times. The bartenders are always friendly and the atmosphere is super laid back. They have tons of football and Golden Knights game specials if you are gambling. We sit in the same area every time . A couple of us vape . We're right below the machines that suck the smoke up . Then last night we get bitched at for vaping . This place is amazing. Me and my husband love to come here! My husband loves the clam chowder that they serve on Fridays. I love their chips and artichoke dip! Everything is always fresh and served quickly by servers who remember your name! We love the big booths as well! Feels like we are in our own restaurant and we can actually hear each other talk while watching our Golden Knights. Bottom line is we love coming here to relax and eat a nice meal! After visiting mom in the area felt like some gold ole fashioned bar food during the playoffs. This is my fifth time to this Timbers. The bar is very spacious and service friendly. At times can be a bit off based on time of day/how busy it is. Today we had pizzas. Generally, I get a grilled cheese or the Timbers smothered fries, which is awesome. My dad's Hawaiian pizza looked really good and he loved it. The pepperoni pizza was a little too bready maybe could have been done more, but toppings and sauce were excellent. We had a group of 11 people at Timbers Rancho on Christmas day for the prime rib special. They were short staffed, and we had to wait a while to get served drinks, my husband ended up just going to the bar to get the drinks as there was no service. The bartender came over to our table she was both taking drink orders at the bar and serving to the tables. When the food server come on duty we eventually ordered our food, I had to return my prime rib lunch as it was served cold not even lukewarm, (I hate being served cold food that I'm paying for in a restaurant,) my husband's plate wasn't warm either but he didn't return it. We waited a long time for the server to come back with our desserts, she came with the bill, and we never got the apple pie a la mode that was supposed to come with the prime rib special, she didn't even ask if we wanted it to go! Service was terrible and food wasn't much better, never did see the manager he was MIA! Will never go back for Christmas lunch again, this was our 1st time eating at this bar. I've be coming to this bar for years, that will change after tonight. I came in to order some food and play a $20 while I waited. I sat few on the empty side of the bar and talked in the phone with a friend while I waited for my food. After placing my order a random guy comes across the bar and sits next to me. Slightly awkward, staring at me and mumbling to hisself. (ATP I slide my chair over because he was closer to me than I was comfortable with) The bartender chuck tells me to download the new rewards for the points for my food. He then asks me repeatedly for my phone number (and repeated back then me at least 3x) to sign me up. After he explains that the new app is only for food and if I give him my DL he can sign me up for the gambling app. Chuck goes over to another machine and makes my account. Then proceeds to yell my first name, DL number for the login and says out loud my full birthday is the password. Now I hope that chuck honestly meant no harm doing this but all made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Eventually my food came out and I just about ran to my car. I called the bar and spoke with chuck once I made it home and he was apologetic but I still feel uneasy. All I can ask is that everyone be a little bit more mindful and women speak up in the moment when you feel uncomfortable. read more

The girlfriend and I came to watch the Bears game. We ordered beer, wings and nachos. It took 30 minutes to get our food and when the nachos arrived, they were cold. I sent them back and waited another 15 - 20 minutes and the second round was marginally better. Why would you build nachos up and not out? You end up with a mess and not very good chip to item coverage. The culinary manager came out and apologized for the food. They comped our food and gave us coupons to come back next time and we got a free round of beer, plus the Bears won. Overall an ok experience. We appreciated the food and drink comps and apology. Came in for late night happy hour, 12:00-4:00am, and it was dead quiet. Drink specials are $3.50 but no food specials, so we did leave to get Taco Bell, ha! I have had their food in the past and it is all so good. Always have good service, the bartender spoke and hung out with us. They were playing rock music, told us about game specials, let us sample beers. Our food took awhile to come out about half an hour Sunday AM due to overwhelmed cook staff, but Amanda our waitress was attentive and got us drinks and beer immediately. The wings with fries were hot, but chicken nachos were cold and dry. After talking to Chris the culinary supervisor, we felt that we would come back and try again next time due to their superior customer service. This Timbers is either hit or miss. Sometimes the waitresses are awesome, sometimes not. Sometimes the bartenders are fun and attentive, sometimes not. Sometimes the regulars are nice and welcoming, sometimes not. You get the picture I'm sure. This is definitely not a "party" bar to go to with your friends when you want to cut loose or cheer on your favorite team. It's more like a bar to lose your money in peace, while you get grinded down by their tight machines. The Timbers folk did a nice job remodeling this old Viola's pub. We were particularly impressed with the job they did in relocating the front entrance to the west, near the parking area. The landscaping is especially welcoming and pretty now with the floral touches of Pink Indian Hawthorn trees, the bottle brush bushes and jasmine shrubs. (No, this is not a landscaping review, but I appreciate that Timbers went all-out, or all-in as we say in Vegas, and paid careful attention to the area that greets their guests.) Patrons enter into the dining area, with the high-backed comfy club chairs around the dining tables, and large booths that surround the dining section. There is the typical horseshoe-shaped bar area and more seating just a little beyond, which we didn't have a chance to check out. We just found a large, comfortable booth and made ourselves at home. Immediately, our friendly server introduced herself and took our drink orders. She was a bit stretched to cover all the diners, but was still very nice and bubbly, and if she wasn't available, then others came by to deliver our food or check on us. It was a little busy last night, but not crazy--I imagine it will be crazy next Saturday night with the Final Four NCAA games. It's a good Timbers location to catch the games as they must have around 20 TV monitors positioned all around the bar, dining, and seating areas. The menu was the standard Timbers selection that you can find throughout the valley. Hubby had the buffalo chicken wrap with kettle chips and he loved 'em. I had the beef tacos which came in flour tortillas and was also served with a side of corn tortilla chips. The chips were crunchy, salty good. The tacos would have been better if they could have increased the amount of beef, reduced the lettuce a bit, and added a cilantro garnish? It would also have been nice if both the green and red sauces, with sour cream, were also included since one little tub of sauce just doesn't service two tacos and chips. Jes' sayin'. And maybe, just maybe, if the Timbers group saw fit to do all that super nice remodeling of the property, maybe they should consider remodeling the menu offerings with some upscale pub food--like PT's did with their Tenaya pub and like you can find at Aces & Ales, nearby competitors. read more

Desperate times calls for desperate measures, but does BANNING backpacks fit the bill? I came there on my motorcycle so I didn't have a safe place to leave it. I gave it to bartender to watch and he certainly didn't go the extra mile denying me service. Not really sure why they had such an inane insane policy. If they're afraid of me stealing silverware or concealing a weapon any women's purse could do the same. But offering to leave at bar solved both situations. Very disappointed as my friend highly recommended this place. Of course I'm never going to return. Missing out on bar food is no big loss. read more
