Best local bar anyone could ask for! Amazingly cheap draft beers with a good variety and rotating taps. My wife always loves the wine selection too. The bar tenders are all great and super quick with the pours. Grab a beer and knock off a few items on the grocery list! What more could a man ask for?

We recently moved to Las Vegas, and a friend told us about this bar. It sounded too good to be true, but it lived up to the hype!! We met our friend there around 3:30, there were only 6-8 people there. He said wait, it'll fill up. They have beer and wine by the glass, and it's really reasonably priced. It's clean, the people are friendly and you can people watch!! They have a couple TVs for games. We saw they have a Trivia night-that could be fun. We will definitely go back, we had a great time.

What a FIND this was!!!!!!! Social Hour is a bar INSIDE of The ENORMOUS Smiths grocery store in the Skye Canyon residential area. We had been up to Mt. Charleston during the day and were heading home looking for a spot to grab a couple beverages. BINGO Great selection of beers & wines at reasonable prices This is a very local spot. Repeat customers. Most folks knew 1 another. "Cheers" like atmosphere w/horseshoe bar. Friendly folks And, you can grab a meat/cheese board & sit at a table & enjoy your drinks. Will definitely return to this unique spot. Very nice Smiths store to shop in after your visit to "Social Hour".

Who said it's not cool to hang out at the grocery store?!?! What a fun and cool little place situated inside of the Skye Canyon Smith's and what a great idea too! My wife and I often stop in for a quick beverage and to just talk a bit before we get our shopping on. We also often see a lot of people just relaxing, playing different games they have available (Connect Four, Jenga, etc) or even enjoying some fresh Sushi or Cheese and Crackers from right there at Smith's! I don't think I've ever seen Social Hour empty...and it's often quite crowded in the afternoons, evenings and especially Friday evenings. They also have several TVs that are usually playing sports. They usually have about 12 different "pulls" or taps for beer that change through the different seasons and to maintain a constant variety. They also have about 16 different wines available split between different whites and reds. The staff is very knowledgeable including their very own local "Sommelier" who usually has samples, specials and recommendations throughout the day. All in all, it's fun to stop in and hang out and definitely gives you a great reason to run to the grocery store for that one item you need! LOL If you are in the area, I highly recommend you check Social Hour out!

Lawrance was the bartendar and he was awesome! SUPER attentive to everyone at the bar. I've been wanting to try this place for AWHILE now but I live on the south side of town. I honestly didn't really know what to expect but a friend and I went on a Tuesday night around 7pm. I thought there would proably be no one in there but it was actully pretty busy! There seemed to be about 3 or 4 different groups of people hanging out drinking. A couple people had food they purchased in the store. We ordered a wine flight each, they were $12 a piece. Not bad for a flight of wine if you ask me.

So we just spent 6 hours hanging here. Playing games and drinking beers. If you have not been to my Smiths and you live around here please go. The beers and wine are super cheap. It's just a good time.

Such a great time at Trivia night! If you plan to go it does get a bit crowded so go a little earlier to grab a seat. Bar tenders were fast and were able to get to everyone in a timely manner.

I was told the only oil they use is beef tallow. Inside is kinda dark and decorated with day of the dead Mexican Pictures and other things like sombreros. But country music fills the air. Margaritas are decent. They started us off with complimentary chips and two very good salsas. My husband started off by trying a carnitas taco. He said that it was very good. We shared a chicken and steak fajita. WOW! everything about it was very good! The chicken was tender, moist, and developed with flavor. The steak had a nice delicious char and was very flavorful and very tender. I must give 5 stars because it was the best steak I ever had for fajitas anywhere. Guacamole was also better than from most places. The only thing is that the tortillas are not hand made but were very fresh so that's ok. Our server was attentive and helpful. She also informed us about all kinds of specials they offer here. 50% off to locals on Mondays and lots of other specials. It's great that we've found this place for the best fajitas in town.

Unfortunately, this visit was lacking substance compared to our first experience. The food quality was disappointing, and they repeatedly ran out of several items. There was also a noticeable decrease in both the food selections and the overall variety offered. Items that were highlights before, like the waffles and tacos, were no longer made to order. Instead, they appeared to sit out too long, leaving them dried out and unappetizing. I truly believe that with a few adjustments, this restaurant could be phenomenal because the potential is definitely there. However, it also felt like the two-for-one promotion brought in more guests than the restaurant was prepared to handle, which may have contributed to the decline in service and food availability. One positive change was including the bottomless mimosas in the price -- that was a great business move. Despite this disappointing visit, I would give it one more chance in hopes that the experience improves.

We had a little of all the best items on the bar bites menu. With a some drinky drinks to wash it down. The Poppers- were freshly made and you could taste it. Well balanced cream cheese with a nice half slice of jalapeno deep fried to a crunch. Bang Bang tacos (shrimp)- hands down my favorite item from what we chose. Amazingly cooked shrimp with fresh cabbage to give it that double crunch that I love. And some flavorful spice to make it all the better. And the unspoken hero's That pumpkin spice martini or espresso... I forget the name but it was addicting. Not overflowing with pumpkin flavor and just enough espresso taste made it soooo smooth. The churro donut holes speak for themselves... I would have ordered 5 plates.

The place is a typical bar/tavern, with high tables/chairs, bar with games, lots of TV sets. If one is looking to relax with a drink and appetizers in a comfy sofa this is not the place. This does look like it's a fun place to unwind. They seem to have all kinds of daily and monthly specials. The service was good, but the food was great. They have a good enough selection. So we got the potsticker, chicken wraps, poppers, nachos. Every single dish was scrumptious. We especially liked how they prepared the nachos --- seems like they layered the nachos and the sauce unlike other places where they just pour the sauce on top and the bottom nachos don't get any of it. We also ordered a bowl of their roasted tomato soup which turned out so tasty. Chef Julius himself brought out the soup and when we told him it's one of the best we've ever had, he brought another serving to take home with us. Now, that's a great way to build a business and encourage customers to keep coming back. All together, our experience was very good, and the only suggestion I would make is to have a variety of seating --- break up the tables and chairs with some comfortable sofas, armchairs.

The restaurant wasn't busy at all--just one other couple in the dining area and maybe a couple of people at the bar--so we didn't expect a long wait. However, it took quite a while for our food to arrive. When the food finally came out, my wife's salad was drenched in dressing. It was so heavy that she couldn't eat it. Normally, dressing is served on the side, so this was surprising. My meal wasn't much better. I ordered dry toast, but it came out heavily buttered. I mentioned it to the waitress, but she never brought a replacement. The steak was extremely thin--definitely not even a quarter inch thick--more like a very slim slice of beef. The eggs were also not cooked as ordered; I asked for over medium to well, but they came out runny. Overall, the service and food quality were both disappointing, especially considering how slow it was at the time.

I can speak of the food I've ordered though, and to start off I do have to say their onion rings are incredible, in fact maybe the best I've had anywhere in Vegas. Lovely crispy batter with an amazing crunch and flavor but also not greasy like fast food ones. Good size portion too. The Chicken Tenders are nothing short of awesome, and a good hearty portion at a very reasonable price. They come with fries and choice of dipping sauce. You can also pick two different sauces for the chicken and have them tossed or on the side. I prefer the latter so I can dip my tenders. Their Tide sauce which is a spicy honey Bourbon is a great flavor, and also Mango Habanero, both are my favorites. They have some more spicy options and rubs too you can choose from. Their fish and chips are ok but also a bit underwhelming and not a very generous portion for the price. In fairness I'm a fish and chips snob since I'm from England originally, and there's only one place in Vegas that hits the mark for me (which I won't mention here since that would be unfair). With that said, the fish itself is pretty good and has decent crispy batter, chips are the usual pub fayre, again nothing special. Overall though, I'm pretty sure anyone that likes pub style food will find some favorites here so if you're in the area it is definitely worth giving a go.

The establishment is very clean and I plan on going back since it's down the street!
