Joey does do a wonderful job and place is so clean however the prices are just to high.

This place are charging people way too much. They have a poster stating " leave tip cash or with credits will be an extra 2 dollars, while I took cash out of the ATM they have on their store. Joyce the lady out loud said " I have to leave more cash to each lady and oso I have to pay the 2 dollars and the 8 % of service. My amount was 50 for UV FILL SHE CHANGED ME 55, I left a pip of 5 dollars then she changed my credit card 62 plus 7 dollars she add as tip in my card. It's ridiculous The department of health should fallow up with this place read more

I go to this place for gel color mani and a spa pedi. They seem very clean and they don't rush you. I have also gotten a 15 minute massage there it was excellent. When you walk in you take your temperature and sanitize your hands. The nail techs are always re-sanitizing and washing their hands. So far so good read more

Absolutely the worst nail salon!! The owners Joey and Kevin and their entire staff are extremely rude and decide to charge more money when you go to pay!!! $5 more for gel if you have a nails!!? Wtf!! Plus the $48!!! They need to advertise gel fills for no nails is $48!!! Insane!! Ridiculous!! And to complain to customers that their rent went up, they play their girls $200 per day (plus tips btw which are greater than$100 per day) is not my concern! And what's the point of having an appointment?? When you get there you have to wait 30 minutes plus! And let's add their instruments are not ALL sanitized!! I wouldn't give this place any stars! I went to this nail salon last weekend because my usual nail salon was busy. First off, this was probably the most painful experience I've endured in a nail salon! The nail tech had no idea what she was doing and told me there was an acrylic stuck in my nail. I've been getting acrylics done for a year at this point and not once had I ever been told that there was an acrylic stuck in my nail, she went ahead and tried prying my acrylics off with a credit card which I felt was unnecessary (and obviously very painful). I left the salon with several cuticles bleeding, and its very evident all they care about is money. I had a gift card and instead of calmly letting me know that I owed 18 dollars extra, she got the owner and started frantically yelling at her that I owed her 18 dollars and then came back over to me and they both started freaking out. I have never seen such an unprofessional establishment and needless to say will not be returning after how uncomfortable they made me feel. read more

Staff very rude. They did my powder dip nails before my toes (never had that happen before- stated I preferred toes first because then they can dry while getting dip powder). When moving from getting nails done to toes the nail tech lied and said my dip powder nails wouldn't be dry until after my toes were done- I said I thought they normally dried right after- the nail tech then raised her voice stating not dry not dry. This place is disgusting. I was treated like garbage. I got an acrylic fill with gel polish as well as a pedicure and it was over 100 dollars (for the cheapest pedicure they had). They cut me with the drill and file on multiple fingers, and proceeded to put the drill bits back without sanitizing them. I pulled my hand away multiple times. They only care about money. If I could rate this less than one star I would. I am 22 and have been getting acrylics done since I was 13. I came to joeys because a friend of mine swore by their work. I have never experienced such laziness from a nail tech in my life, nor nail work like they did to my nails. I asked for a full set of acrylics long and square shaped. What they gave me was an early 2010 fan shaped bubble looking mess. My cuticles were not pushed back and skin around my nails were not trimmed. Also my nails were not prepared properly and the tech was extremely rough and rushing the entire time. This wasn't worth $5 let alone the $60 is cost. And it has been 6 days since I got them done and five nails have easily fallen off with the remaining 5 lifting. I will never go to this salon again and suggest you don't waste your money. read more

I went there for the 1st time tonight and my nails are a total mess, it looks like I rolled in the sheets with wet nail Polish, they did not smooth the nails and to make matters worse they spoke in a different language, kept looking at me and laughing I will never ever go there again. My suggestion to the owner is that when you are working in America you have to Show a little respect to people that Do not speak your language and when they ask you for something specific they are paying you to do it. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. They basically ROB you for extra "fees." I have NEVER in my entire life paid $15 extra ON TOP of the price for a full set because the "tips are $15 extra." Also, they charge $5 extra for a shape. Meanwhile they can't even shape nails for the life of them. I had to correct the lady on every single nail multiple times. She had to redo an entire nail due to it being crooked and made me bleed. When I confronted the other owner, Joey about the additional $15 and $5 fee on top of the price, Joy (the lady/other owner) yelled across the table while she was doing another guests nails and yelled in my face & said, "this is my shop I told you the price." I told her I will not be coming back due to the disrespect. I'm sorry, but you do not yell in a guests face when they're simply asking a question. Overall, NOT worth the hassle, especially NOT worth the price. They didn't even thank me when I paid (my bill was over $200) and I didn't even get an apology for the owner Joy yelling in my face. I just recently started going to Joeys, I personally love the way they do both my toes and nails. I recommended calling ahead and booking Joey she's great! They are clean and willing to help the client. They offer many spa packages that I have yet to try but they seem to soothing. Prices are average compared to others in the area. Parking is a little tight in the parking lot at times. Call ahead on weekends as they tend to get busy very fast. They have a fantastic color selection. I was going to this salon for 3 years. Never had a problem. Always get acrylic set with gel and gel polish. In December I had a 12 pm appointment and I was waiting for 45 minutes as Joey was taking walk ins. I got fed up and left. So on Thursday may 25 got a gel pedicure a eyebrow wax and a new set. My appointment was 3 pm. At 3:45 I sat with a new girl that tried her best but shaped them crooked. Now it was 6 pm. I was there 3 hours! I couldn't stay to fix them so I went back on Friday may 26. Joey agreed and the girl apologized. I understand because she was learning. But they filed my nails the right way but didn't put gel on so they were thin. So they broke! So less than a week later I called and the guy said come in at 1:30 may 31 today. So I wasted 2 days of my time ! If I go in there today I'm going to go off because with tip I spent 150.00 there! So in order not to upset myself I'm just going to take it as a loss. And never go back. Unfortunately I think they remembered I walked out and and hadn't gone back in five months. Whatever the case may be I wasted 4 hours and 150 of my money. So I this spa has gone down and there's no reason why I had to be put threw all of this in less than a week when it's supposed to be a relaxing and nice thing ! So beware of this spa. Absolutely horrible!! I went with my daughter 2 weeks ago. Her nails were ok mine were awful, looked like a child did them. Then my daughter went back with a friend today and they are charging her $5 more because she wants coffin shape. She got coffin shape last time and it was $40. I called and they argued With me and told me the person last time forgot to charge her for coffin and then went on to say she wanted them cut this time so they charge extra for cutting them? The proper thing would've been to honor the other price but tell her going forward the price is $45. But do NOT charge for cutting nails!!! We will never go back. The staff is rude and I felt extremely rushed. I arrive at 6:25 for a regular pedicure and gel manicure. As I park my car, staff is looking out the door and appeared frustrated. They continued to stare at me and come outside. I waved and got out of my car to clarify that they are open till 7:30. The man said yes and asked just eyebrows. I replied no just a manicure and pedicure with a friend. I walk in and my friend walks in one minute after me. There was one other customer finishing up. My friend and I got our pedicures and as we were getting our pedicures they started doing our manicures at the same time in the pedicure chairs. It was not relaxing and extremely rushed. The staff pulled me and rushed me to the toe dryer once they were done and started putting on their coats and grabbing their belongings at 7:10. They rushed out to their car, lights out and doors locked at 7:11. I was extremely disappointed in the service. My friend and I clarified 4 times the time that they close on Thursday's and fridays. I also asked for a purplish wine color and they applied red nail polish. I said something when they applied the first nail and then they switched it and it was still a red color. I don't think they changed the color at all. They assured me the second coat would make it darker. The color was not even close to what I wanted. I had to write about my experience because this terrible service has happened to me more than once here. read more

Went to get SNS and the nail tech had no idea what she was doing. My nails looked like marbles and were so thick, uneven and bubbly. She didn't even file the color down like you're supposed to with powder dip. I had to sit there for an additional HOUR for another nail tech to completely redo her mess and still pay full price. read more

I go to this place for powder gel or "SNS" and they do a nice job and lasts very long. Other than that I wouldn't recommend any other manicure there. We stopped in for the first time yesterday for pedicures (settled on the jelly pedicure for $30) and were very pleased overall. They took their time and didn't rush us, even though there were other people waiting. Very friendly staff and I'll be back! They were even able to laugh after I somehow managed to mix up the money in my pocket and only gave a $2 tip rather than a $7 tip! Hold on to your wallet when you come in because you're paying for every single brush stroke, everything is extra. You're paying for the owner having another baby apparently because anything that was included as part of a normal set or fill service is now piecemealed as extra. You can bring your own polish if you are a germaphobe or have a specific polish you love but, same price no matter who supplies it. You want your nails shaped specific - trendy or your specific style which used to be part of the service, extra. If a nail, which she decides to remove, is replaced $5 extra per nail on top of the price. Expecting the customary quick massage while your nails dry???, nope, extra. Want a gel polish - that is already extra - well somehow that turns into extra extra because even the gel polishes which are extra apparently come in levels of extra now. A simple gel fill, 1 nail replaced (which was fine but she ripped it off) and nothing extra cost extra extra extra - $63. A gel fill folks. It was an average job, nothing extra about the service, nothing extra or improved in the establishment (aka no money invested in the salon to make it extra), no warm conversation, no pleasant overall experience... what are we paying for? Well I'm an "extra" kinda gal but I'm not paying extra for nothing special. I think by the lack of customers in Joey's salon, many agree. read more

One of my favorite nail salons in Carmel! It's always clean, the staff is friendly and there are lots of options for different kinds of manicures and pedicures!! They do one of the best but also the cheapest regular manicure around at $8.00! All other pricing is reasonable for the service you receive! Jenny is my favorite but if she is busy I don't mind going to someone else! My favorite is the spa manicure and the lemon pedicure! On a side note, they give awesome massages and do great waxing as well! Joey nail has a great color selection! Sometimes thats what will make me go there over other nail salons. They're always busy!! I was very please with the service and it was very clean! considering I smudged my nail twice the lady I had was very patience with me and fixed it with no problem. She took her time and did a great job! The only problem I had, was with the dryer. Terrible place! They cut you when they're sanding your nails, im guessing what is supposed to be a massage while your nails dry is more like torture and they try to force you to tip them. (even if you are tipping its very rude to keep asking for it like they do) this place is just the worst. Go to Diamond Nails they're so much better. Diamond is not only cheaper, but their nail designs are done soooo much better. read more
