It's normally $23.00 but on Thursdays that dish is reduced to $18.00 or $19.00. It came with two huge pieces of fish which were delicious. The fish didn't have the greasy taste that happens in some places. Several of us ordered the same meal and we all enjoyed our fish. The problem was that the other orders such as sandwiches came quite a while after the fish. In fact I was finishing up when the last order arrived. The service was good and friendly but they have got to get the meals timed so that they can be served closer to the same time. This spot would get five stars but for the fact that four of the guys didn't get their meals on time

I had read some reviews about this place and wanted to check it out. Husband had the steak sandwich and a root beer as the DD; I had some buffalo wings and one of their smoked Old Fashioneds, the one with the moonshine called the Sherlock. This was one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had. Super smooth and delicate flavour; the smoke part was interesting but really not the critical piece for me. The wings were excellent and came with a not very flavourful ranch dressing and a few carrot sticks. Still, I would definitely go back for these wings. Husband had added=cost gravy for his fries and mushrooms for the steak. He remarked that he liked the fried onion strings on top. I had a couple of the fries and they were the coated type that I think should be banned forever, but he was fine with them. The gravy was reasonable without being memorable. We had the sticky toffee dessert to share and the server was kind enough to take a photo for us to remember the special day. The decor overall is pleasant resto pub style with seating arranged to allow for private conversation. The staff all seem focused and professional in their work. Overall, agree with all the positive reviews and I think it might be worthwhile to return and explore more of the menu.

Oscars pub is a very cool little pub, when we were there it was very quiet which was nice, they didn't have ridiculously loud music playing or a bunch of TVs with a bunch of sports playing, it was a very nice location to sit back have a great meal grab a pint and visit. I definitely recommend this place and will 100% visit again.

We decided to order the Baker's Sandwich for $21.00 which comes with your choice of side. I went with coleslaw and my partner ordered the salad. The sandwich was very big, too big actually and the chicken was a bit dry. It's difficult cooking chicken to be tender and juicy every time but that's what we're paying for so we should be able to expect an excellent sandwich. It was otherwise tasty. The coffee was quite good and included refills. This is a beautiful neighbourhood for an after dinner walk about so make sure you include that in your plans.
