Would recommend the chicken Parmesan as it was crispy and the pasta itself was cooked a perfect Al dente. Saturday night drop in- I know we were 5 people with no reservation. Host asked us if we had a reservation, we said no, he laughed and said at least a 30 min wait. We were fine to wait. Waited- watched two other groups come in- they were both greeted with prosecco while they waited to be seated. Within 7 minutes they luckily had a table for us. Not over 30 minutes thank goodness! We got sat, this is where the 30 minutes comes in I guess? The staff was very stressed, all conglomerated together pointing, frowning, hands on hips genuinely concerned- but didn't notice our table of 5 sitting there. We called another local restaurant while we were sitting there for 15 minutes to ask if they had room for us. Luckily they did. We got up and left. At least there was nothing to clean off the table- except menus since everyone was too busy to greet us, never mind serve us. Noted. read more

Long wait to be seated. Long wait for our order to be taken. They ran out of pasta and the 6 oz steak frites but didn't tell us before we ordered. They offered the 14 oz for $38 more, we declined and ordered something else. Long wait for our food to arrive. My brother got his food first while the rest of us waited much longer. I was charged for the steak frites we never received. Their system crashed, they couldn't process the refund. Manager 1 gave me her business card and a gift card, took my contact info, and said she would follow up about the refund. A week passed with no email, no call, no text. I followed up and was told I could come in person. I came in, I waited, then was told their debit machine died. I said I'd come back later, she said she'd message me once it was charged. Again, no email, no call, no text. I came back a few hours later and waited again, but Manager 1 left already. Manager 2 didn't know what was going on. She contacted the Manager 1 to catch up, and I later got a message from Manager 1 saying she'd follow up the following week because she needed access to the proper system. Manager 2 offered me Manager 1's business card, another gift card, asked for my contact info and said she would follow up too. More than a week passed with no email, no call, no text from Manager 1 and 2. I gave the gift cards away and now writing a review because the whole situation is so silly. read more

Our family takes our aging dad to Joey Crowfoot each year for his birthday. (He loves the lettuce wraps). This year was no different but I must say that the staff was absolutely incredible every step of the way. They seated us in a quiet section since Dad is noise sensitive (by the outdoor patio which was closed due to rain threat). Every staff member wished him a happy birthday & the manager on duty checked several times to make sure all was well. The food was outstanding (we tried a variety of dishes) and they didn't sweat it if we shared an entree. A complimentary, delicious lava cake was brought & song sung. The icing on the cake was a handwritten birthday card given to Dad which he stuck in his scrapbook to keep for posterity. 5 STAR EXPERIENCE!!!!! read more

Truly amazed by the customer service Joey's Restaurant provided earlier today. I had just been discharged from the hospital, and we landed on Joey's to fix our cravings. My dad briefly mentioned it when Sydney, the host, asked us how we were doing. We had finished up our food (which was delicious) and as the bill came, our server mentioned my portion of the meal was competed for. They shared their condolences and expressed that this was their way of contributing to bettering my day. Huge rave!!! Especially to the staff, and Sydney, who shared my story with the others. read more

Very disappointing experience in the lounge yesterday from server Kyle who seemed more interested in rushing our tab so he "wouldn't go on overtime" and could instead join his buddies for drinks at the bar after his shift ended. Completely disinterested, spilled water on our table including dousing a cell phone without so much as an apology. Food was great as usual and the evening was saved by his replacement server who was engaging, professional, and attentive. But as for Kyle, he represents a serious downgrade from the usual service at this location. This guy should not be working front of house at this establishment, if at all. With a new Cactus Club nearby, Joey's cannot afford gross lapses in service such as this. read more

Loved the ambience and Ethan was a great server...he acknowledged how short staffed they were but was able to get us our food after a little longer wait. However, the blackened chicken was amazing! Same goes for the steak with crispy exterior for the mashed potatoes. I had a delicious sangria and my boyfriend had a mojito. Our appetizers were awesome as well! We had a dining in today and we spent about $220 orders food for 4 people plus dings. First of all, the service wasn't good which my beer glass was empty a day other glasses were empty too and no one bother to ask for it I need another drink till I called them. On the other hand, the food was not good. We ordered a two steaks and their stakes was disgusting where I was able to eat a half of piece only and my wife took a bite and she called them to take it away and even didn't offer to change or something else. My daughter got a humbugger sandwich and the humbugger was about such a piece of black and burnt, then we told them and did get a new sandwich wich slightly better and either she didn't finish it because we didn't like to call them again. When they brought the bill, they mentioned that they didn't charge me for the first humbugger sandwich which they took it away. LOL Fully not recommended at all read more

Joey's is casual upscale dining perfect for all occasions. Loved the dark stone and wood interiors. It's good to have multiple friendly servers bringing out dishes but not when they lack attention to basic needs like supplying us with cutlery or keeping water and beverages coming until requested. Their food is excellent tho, and my ahi blt was da bomb (tip: get the bacon on the side and separate the onion rings for finger snacks), and their sliders and poke bowls get an A on presentation. Definitely a dining gem in Crowfoot square if they can refine their service a bit to the aforementioned notes. read more

Joeys offers a warm and happy atmospheres that I have enjoyed many times. I also have a favourite on their lunch menu, the Thai Shrimp Curry. The plating and the dish itself last Thursday was a disappointment for several reasons - it was served with very little Thai sauce, and the ingredients were mostly bean sprouts with small shrimp and a spoonful of peanuts. It appeared to be more leftovers bunched in the bowl, and not melded into the sauce. I asked for and received more Thai sauce in a timely manner. For me this is a signature dish, it is usually served appealingly in a wide dark pasta bowl with the sauce and veg poured generously around a central hill of rice and garnish. At close to 30.00, it should look and taste like it. I had tried Cactus Club's Thai bowel previously and it was good but not as good as my memory of Joeys. I look forward to a good plate and was very disappointed. read more

Was here with a colleague a couple of days ago. I don't usually leave bad reviews but I felt it was needed to bring this to the attention of the managers and lovely people who run this restaurant. I usually come here to have a drink or two every month or so and everything is amazing. However this time the service was just not up to my exceptions, set by the past time I had visited. I was hesitant to include the name of the waitress during this unenjoyable experience but I feel I must. Samantha who was our bartender/server, was outright neglecting my colleague and I. It appeared she was constantly on her phone for long periods of time and chatting to coworkers while we were left waiting. The worst part is when we called her over and she evidently rolled her eyes and scoffed. It is safe to say we were completely in shock by this. In all my years I have never had such an unpleasant experience at a Joey's. It seems she was more interested in chatting to her co-workers and being glued to her phone than to give us minimum service. That being said the food was delicious as per usual, but the remarkably bad service left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

We had a great experience last night at Joey Crowfoot! We were there to have dinner with friends we haven't seen for over 20 years and Nico was a top notch server for us! I've tried serving before in a restaurant much like this and I must say - it ain't easy. Nearing the end of the meal we got to talking with Nico and it turns out he is new to the game. Would never have guessed that he was new! He knew the menu items well and if he didn't he got the information promptly. Fantastic! And as I was the DD, I was that guy who ordered coffee. He had no complaints or under the breath sighs when he had to brew me a fresh pot. And the coffee was excellent! We had the Prawn Curry Bowl, Chicken Parm w/ Spaghetti, and the Butchers Sandwich with the Crispy Mashed Potatoes. We loved the potatoes so much we got a side serving for the table to share. Not only was every plate licked clean, but there were no complaints at our table (which can be rare due to my family being needy). Great work! COVID protocols were easy and comfortable. The two of us went to grab an early dinner. Lucky no wait. Get your bums down there before 6pm and take advantage of their happy hour. We very much enjoyed the sangrias. The ahi tuna tacos were small and a little messy to eat, so do consider that for your dates. My friend got the steak and it came with these potatoes spring-roll look-alikes. The portion seemed very decent. I got the Angus beef dip, needless to say, I did not finish. It was huge! The bread was on the dry side, unfortunately they cheaped out on the au jus as well! The fries were exactly like McDonald's fries - golden, crispy and thinly sliced. The ketchup complemented them nicely. Overall, not bad, not impressed and not disappointed. Service was decent. I've been to this Joey's a couple of time just out of convenience and I'm going to say that i have never been overly impressed with this location unfortunately. To be clear before I start, the food is adequate and pretty standard but I was surprised when I noticed the menu was different from some of the other Joey's I have been too. This last time I was there was during stampede in the summer and the service was SO slow and inefficient. I can understand slow service when it's really busy or if maybe there is a rush or you're short staffed but this didn't really appear to be any of those things. Our server took a long time to take our order, she didn't check on us after we got our food and at the end I had also asked for part of my meal to be boxed up but our waitress missed that part and threw out the rest of my meal. She did have the kitchen remake the part that she threw out, however after a already mediocre experience it was just one more thing. When we asked for our bill, this also took a while as I think the staff were having a mini staff meeting in front of the kitchen (all the servers were standing in a corner with what looked like a manager). I looked around the floor and there was not a single staff member on the floor with customers. I guess from an operational stand point of having had family run business at one point, this just seemed unprofessional. Would I go back to this Joey's? I suppose if I didn't have an option or if a friend really wanted to but considering the other options in the area, I am more likely to try somewhere else. read more

Definitely wouldn't go back again. Service was incredibly slow. It took forever for someone to come take our food and drink orders. Once our food was delivered, absolutely no one came to check on us to see how everything was. Three of ordered Caesar salad, strangest Caesar salad I have ever eaten. Not the traditional romaine and the dressing was off too. Two people at the table ordered the beef dip. Meat was cold and very pink which made us question if it was cooked properly. My son has food allergies which were stated at the time of ordering, however he was still allergic to something and was sick immediately after eating. All in all a very disappointing birthday meal, overpriced and very poor service. read more

Once again, I've come for something I've always enjoyed to find it's been removed, just like all my past favorites. Got home and realized I didn't have all my food... :( Drove back, explained the situation... waited 2 minutes and Kendal came to tell me they were going to redo the whole order so the family can all eat a warm meal together.. wow! Didn't take long at all, and THREE staff members came outside to deliver my order - Kendal, the chef/cook and the service guy! They apologized with a big smile, AND gave us a bottle of bubbly on top of it! I almost teared up! The drive back there to go get my missing items was more than worth it! Joeys in Crowfoot is your standard Joeys food chain with pretty good food, even at lunch. Typically known for after work drinks and dinner but their lunch menu is just as convenient and good quality. If you have been, you should try their staple appetizer lettuce wrap... It's been on the menu for ever and you'll be happy you ordered it. Their menu had a good variety from Sushi, to burgers, to fish tacos and steak. They also provide take out which I find to be a good option if you want a good meal at home. Overall, their staff are friendly... Sometimes it seems they hire more for looks then brains. read more
