I wish I could give Joe more than 5 stars. He is absolutely phenomenal to work with. Joe put our large kitchen together in 5 days, and every single day I could not be more impressed with the progress and quality of work. Before the work even began, Joe was extremely communicative and quick to respond via email and text. We were moving around plumbing in our kitchen and I was hesitant to make certain decisions without consulting with Joe if it would impact his work--he was easy to get ahold of and reassured that he can work around what we needed to do and even provided some alternate suggestions as a backup plan just in case plumbing ended up sticking out farther from the wall than we anticipated. Luckily plumbing was just fine and Joe was able to work with it without batting an eye. When Joe arrived the first day, he immediately found some slight measurement errors from Traemand (Ikea's designers/contractors) designs and quickly made adjustments to make it work. We also asked for a few recommendations during the process and he was quick to provide suggestions that we ended up implementing. Not only was Joe's work incredible and the cabinets turned out beautiful, but he was also able to create our small custom shelf with some Ikea panels and it turned out better than we had mocked up in the 3d rendering!! Joe helped us with our IKEA kitchen cabinet re-installation after we had a water leak in the kitchen ceiling. The damage was repaired and ready for cabinet installation. We did save the cabinets and all materials from the damage so he could replace them per the original design. Joe is hardworking, efficient, a creative problem solver and knows the IKEA product very well. We had an older model (Akurum) cabinet design which is no longer available. We had one pantry cabinet box that did get water damaged and Joe created a custom replacement for it that fit perfectly. We found Joe by searching online for "Ikea kitchen installers" after meeting with Ikea's preferred installer and being given an estimate almost twice as much as what Ikea advertises (and being told the first available installation time was four weeks out). He is extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. All of his reviews on Yelp and Thumbtack were phenomenal. His estimate was less than Ikea and he was available in a week. Still, I was nervous because I'd never hired a contractor before. Surely it couldn't be this easy! He reviewed our plans and cabinet list and recommended some changes to address issues that neither Ikea (nor their preferred installer) caught. We had a farmhouse sink with a 9" apron front but Ikea (even though we showed them the specs) put 24" doors in our order, which wouldn't fit. Joe told us they make shorter doors, which aren't even listed on Ikea's website. He really knows everything about these cabinets! He approached everything with expertise, patience, and creativity. When we realized we ordered the wrong wall oven cabinet, he sent us to Ikea to pick up some extra drawers and filler panels and made a custom cabinet. He was meticulous and didn't call the job over until the results met his high expectations. Because of our changes and additions, I expected the bill to be several hundred higher than the estimate, but he charged us less than a reasonable increase. I would hire Joe again in a heartbeat. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone who needs someone to build and install an Ikea kitchen (he does designs, too, if you need him to). We bought our Ikea cabinets to install ourselves, but decided against it. I found Joe online & fortunately for us, he was available right away. Even though he did not help us with the original kitchen design, he took the time to review the plans with you, draw on your walls/floors to show you where everything would go. Then after the review, he puts on his earbuds & gets right to work. He is very meticulous in the building and installation to make sure everything is perfect......as if it's his own kitchen! And he cleans up at the end of the day..you wouldn't know a contractor had been working at your house. . He told us it would take 2.5 days & he stayed a little longer on the 2nd day to make sure he'd finish up in half a day the 3rd day. He'll be back to finish the kitchen - so far it looks great. 5 years ago, Joe installed our entire Ikea kitchen, cabinets, island, etc. We love his work. If you are looking to install an IKEA kitchen you MUST call Joe. IKEA installers were 6-8 weeks out for install so we had to go another route. We found Joe online and because of his great reviews we gave him a call. He exceeded all expectations and was fantastic to work with. We gave him our design for the kitchen and he after meeting with us he said he could finish the job in three days and also suggested some changes that needed to be made in the design. He was always on time to work and stayed late into the nights so that he could finish the job on time. He was very friendly throughout the entire process and never got frustrated with our million questions. I think it is nice to have one person meet with you, build the kitchen, and do all the finishing touches. No subcontractors. Joe does everything and you deal with him the entire process. He loves what he does and takes pride in doing great work! His attention to detail and desire to make the kitchen perfect is a real attribute. Even though we hit a couple of snags and had to customize a few things, he never complained and always just wanted to make it right. His comment at the end of construction says it all... Unfortunately, we didn't when the kitchen was originally installed - that bum did a crap job and left us with cabinets that weren't level. Once we decided to replace our countertop, I knew we had to fix everything that the first guy botched. Fortunately, I found Joe, an ace IKEA installer with loads of experience, who came out to reset and level everything, fix a few aesthetic and design "issues" we had, and basically make sure our base cabinets were perfectly plumb for their new countertop. Like when you clean your glasses and then realize just how dirty they were, our "new" kitchen is showroom quality now! He was great to work with, from start to finish, and we were 100% comfortable with him working solo in our place. His prices were fair, he showed up right on time, and did it all with a smile. We installed the cabinet boxes on our own but needed a carpenter to cut and install all of the finishing panels on the island and on the sides of our cabinets to complete the finished look. Additionally, we asked Joe to install a cabinet box above our refrigerator. Joe answered all of my emails leading up to the install within 24 hours (thank you for this professionalism!) and had availability for my 1 day job within a very reasonable time (thank you for fitting us in to your busy schedule!).
