We spent a huge amount of time and effort, researching different cabinetry companies in order to find the right match for us. It became clear as we researched that there is a big dividing line within the cabinetry industry. Most typically there are guys who have table saws, and tape measures and they proceed to chop up wood and nail it together. However, a more recent development in the cabinetry business is what we were looking for. The most advanced companies come out, take measurements of the room and then design the cabinetry on a three dimensional computer system. This provides a way of essentially seeing what you're going to create before you even make one bit of sawdust. Once an optimized design is finalized, the wood parts are cut up and drilled by computer controlled machines, that very precisely control the dimensions of the wood parts to within only a few thousands of an inch. At that point the wood panels are simply put together with very little effort and essentially no corrective measures being needed. The result is a cabinet assembly that comes out essentially perfect. All drawers are precisely in line, everything fits pretty much perfectly. And this is how Haynes cabinetry operates. Along with Haynes, using the most advanced methods of creating cabinetry, throughout our project, they continually displayed a most proactive approach to dealing with us. At no point during the project, did we ever have to ask to have something done a second time. Everything we asked was taken care of, and taken care of with a smile. It was as if we were having friends that we've known for years come over and perform this work, they were amazing! Looking back at our home remodel, it is clear that Haynes cabinetry led the pack with regards to comparing them with the other contractors that we had involved in our project. Closet and Garage Remedy has been our go to for garage and pantry organization work for nearly a…read moreyear now. They have been utterly fantastic from consultation to design to installation. This review will focus initially on the pantry work, as I haven't finished doing the full organization on the garage yet! When we bought our house from the builder, we were past a number of option milestones. So we couldn't choose a wok/prep kitchen in lieu of a standard pantry. Unfortunately, the standard pantry seems to be where the builder chose to train their apprentices and it showed. Not a single shelf was level. It was a miserably boring grid of basic plywood and MDF. I tried my best to organize around it, but after 7 years of staring at wonky shelving, I called time. Jeff, our garage design expert, had left a brochure with drool worthy photos of professionally built pantries. My mind was made up - I was going to have a Grown Up Pantry! Parker, like Jeff, is a genius. Except Parker does interior work instead of garages - closets, pantries, etc. He sat down with me to talk through the foundational options and different choices we could make in the space we had, along with cost options. Parker was extremely iterative during this process, and this made all the difference to the project. Over time, my choices evolved as I did more research, or after I experienced the first stages of the build out. I decided to go big or go home, and have a quartz countertop with tile backsplash that would match the kitchen. The countertop would be critical for staging work in the pantry (my youngest daughter's passion is baking), as well as storage space during entertaining. Once the design was complete, work started almost immediately. Sylvia was a superhero with scheduling, working around our vacation, and the installation team (Jason and Johan, mostly) were fantastic: diligent, neat, and efficient. Parker's attention to detail during the whole process meant everything was done to the highest standard and anything that needed fixing was addressed straight away. Having run projects at work for decades, I saw that Parker lived and breathed a classic hands-on agile approach and the pantry turned out beautifully for it. I now have so much space that I liberated a few cabinets in my kitchen, with room to spare. The organization of the space means I can find everything I need quickly. If you have ever considered having an Insta-worthy pantry, I highly recommend you reach out to Parker for a consultation. Life's too short for boring pantries!

Our master bathroom was more than just a facelift, we removed a closet, extended the bathroom, fixed a leak, moved some plumbing and electrical, etc. Each crew member we interacted with was extremely professional, did the work quickly and professionally, and Sam the foreman was helpful in answering all of our questions. Terrible management and product quality…read more I paid top dollar for a new front door from Ganahl, only to receive one with obvious defects: flaws in the wood -- including what appears to be a deep saw-cut burn and an oil stain -- putty oozing from the surface, and other workmanship issues that should never have passed quality control. When I reported the defects, Ganahl was dismissive and argumentative. I was essentially told that "wood is wood" and that the condition of the door was normal. That position quickly fell apart when the matter was escalated to the manufacturer, T.M. Cobb, which acknowledged -- from only a few photographs -- that the door did, in fact, have defects requiring attention. Despite that admission, we were told that it would take at least a week for someone merely to inspect the door, with no indication of how much longer an actual repair or replacement might take. Ganahl knew that professional installers were scheduled for the day the door arrived and that the installation was necessary to keep exterior stucco preparation, inspections, and the rest of the construction schedule moving. I proposed a remote video (Facetime) meeting so the parties could review the defects promptly and discuss possible solutions before the project was further delayed. Ganahl and/or T.M. Cobb unilaterally decided that such a meeting would be fruitless and instead dictated that I would have to wait for an in-person visit. T.M. Cobb also refused to discuss the matter with me directly, while Ganahl refused to put me in contact with the person T.M. Cobb planned to send to inspect the door. Their proposed course of action was therefore no solution at all -- send the installers home, stop related work, delay inspections, absorb the resulting costs, and wait at least a week without even being permitted to speak directly with the manufacturer or its inspector about possible options. We were therefore left with two unacceptable choices -- refuse to install the door and bring the project to a halt, or install it to keep construction moving and potentially have to rip it out later. To make matters worse, we were told that installing the door could be treated as acceptance "as-is," supposedly relieving Ganahl and T.M. Cobb of responsibility for correcting the defects. In sum, Ganahl delivered a defective premium-priced product, offered no timely or practical remedy, blocked efforts to discuss solutions promptly, and attempted to shift the consequences of its quality-control failure entirely onto the customer. The defective door was unacceptable. Ganahl's dismissive attitude, lack of urgency, refusal to take ownership, and unwillingness to facilitate direct communication made the experience significantly worse. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering ordering a door through Ganahl or purchasing a T.M. Cobb product.

He installed and assembled RTA cabinets I had already ordered online. His quote to assemble was $5 more than the install price. $5 to assemble a cabinet? That was a big selling feature for me. The job went well and smooth at the start, with careful attention to detail. He didn't charge for the crown molding or baseboards. $3 for each handle for drawers and cabinets. He even cut into my wall to access electrical lines. This took 90 minutes, with no mention of charge. I took it upon myself to include that time and labor into my invoice. Adam doesn't just come in and do the job. He suggests design ideas, had me select better handles, makes redesign suggestions that make more sense on site, and really listens to wants. My job took a long time, with many visits required from Adam. This was no fault of his. When the kitchen was done, I had four more feet of space, so added two more pantry cabinets. Weeks to deliver. After that I ran out of base and crown, so had to order that... It was drawn out, but Adam never complained. He encouraged. He even convinced me to add Taj Majal on the wall behind my Viking range. Thousands more to do that, but damn it looks good! Now that it is all done, I am looking at my large kitchen island, and knowing that needs to be redone as well. Already discussing refinishing existing cabinets in natural wood with Adam. His experience and knowledge really comes in handy, without having to go back to the generic designer from the RTA place. I readily and enthusiastically recommend Adam for cabinet work, and will continue to work with him until my island is done. I've already recommended him to coworkers, all of whom have drooled over my kitchen progress photos.

Others where masked or band aid type fix with a piece of same color trim, It was mostly all along the lower part of cabinets that the wood chipped completely off 5 large cabinets 3 above waist level and the 4th 5th one was Cabinet that rested on floor, Still till this day Friday May 20,2022 the counter tops still need polishing,. They left trims to be cut and my baseboards are missing, holes drilled by mistake on over head cabinets are have exposed brackets screws and wood it's an eye sore and looking ugly, Caulking around sink area is now chipping away just falling out little by little and water collects there next thing you know mold will build up in crevices, it has to be re done correctly,. The counter top has 2 chips we pointed out from the day it arrived they promised to repair it and still nothing why not inspect prior to delivery?

More than five stars!…read more Succinctly, we met with three or four companies to get an estimate all of whom were pleasant but, somehow, did not seem as though they were listening to what we wanted. It was different with Ammar of Kitchen Cabinet Express, Inc. After a brief introduction and a short discussion of our intentions, he got right to the point, walking with my wife, measuring and making notes and asking questions. What resulted was a reasonable estimate for the work to be done and a plan and drawings that exactly reflected our wishes. The deadline for completion was originally set for the middle of March 2026 but was completed two weeks early. Members of Ammar's team and contractors were professional, conscientious, and hard working. They showed up on time, accomplished what was scheduled for each day. As work progressed, we desired some minor changes which Ammar and his team were very flexible and responsive in accomplishing professionally and quickly. At every point - daily work and especially at the conclusion - the site was cleaned up immaculately and all detritus was hauled away instantly. Also, a great deal of care was taken to mask, cover, and protect the house, furniture, and existing fixtures from the dust and soiling that was occasioned by the remodeling work! This review is being written a month after completion as we wanted to take our time to let the "newness" wear off and appraise the overall experience. After this time for evaluation, we find the craftsmanship flawless, the cabinets and showers and baths installed beautifully and -- overall -- the incorporation into our existing home has greatly upgraded the whole affair. All in all, the results exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend Ammar and his team and, once settled, we will be having him back to take care of additional projects we'd like to accomplish.

We spoke with other contractors, but nobody had a vision for our space like Ammar did. He suggested designs, gave different options, and answered all of our questions along the way. We ended up having Ammar and team replace our roof and floor throughout the house as well. They offer a digital rendering of your space during the design presentation which absolutely helped us visualize the remodel. They also offer financing which was fantastic! The work is all so beautiful, I can't believe it's the same house. We will absolutely be working with them again in the future to renovate our kitchen!

A special thank you to our project manager, Doug, who was incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and communicative throughout the project. His team was professional, detail-oriented, and clearly took pride in their craftsmanship. They kept us updated with progress photos along the way and provided material samples to help us confidently make design decisions, which made the entire process much easier. What stood out the most was their commitment to quality even after installation. Once everything was completed, Doug personally came by to do a final walkthrough, making sure every detail met our expectations and promptly addressing the few touch-ups we requested. That level of customer service and follow-through really set them apart. A long overdue review for CustomBuilt-Ins…read more We can't thank Doug and Eric enough for everything they did for us. We had a water leak in our kitchen Memorial Day of 2025. Repipe complete, then the builder came in. The project was to replace the island, lower cabinets of one wall, and repaint the kitchen. They took our check and started. Then virtually no progress in June, July, August, September, and October. I eventually drove to their shop to get my cabinets as they were unable to return them. We reached out to Doug at the beginning of November and he said they could help us out. They custom built and installed our island. They rebuilt our custom kitchen cabinets, and finished the kitchen painting. We were asking them to come in and finish a project that they had no history or familiarity with what we wanted, right before Thanksgiving. Doug and Eric spent time talking and working with us so we were all on the same page. Schedules made, notification messages of arrivals, and we always had a clear understanding of what will be done each day. We hope to have them back for other projects, and have recommended them to friends and family. THANK YOU CustomBuilt-ins !!
