Inconsistent Inspections and Predatory Upselling ​I have been coming to this dealership for two years for my 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid, but after my experience on April 1st, I will not be returning. ​Last week, I brought my car in for an oil change. The Multi-Point Inspection report marked my tires as "Green" (8/32" or higher). I returned one week later for two safety recalls. Suddenly, the service department claimed my front tires were at 5/32" and needed immediate replacement. It is physically impossible to lose that much tread in seven days of normal driving. ​Furthermore, they claimed a nail in my driver's side front tire was "unrepairable" due to its proximity to the sidewall and quoted me over $550 for two new Pirelli tires. I immediately took the vehicle to a reputable tire specialist who confirmed the tire was perfectly safe to patch. They successfully repaired the tire for a fraction of the cost. ​It is clear that because the recall work was under warranty (low profit), the service department attempted to manufacture a "repair" to upcharge me. This is predatory behavior and a complete breach of trust. If you go here, double-check their "inspections"--the math doesn't add up. ................. Attached is a picture of the response the owner did in another platform: Response to Owner Your response actually confirms my point about inconsistent inspections. You claim my tires were measured at 6/32" during my previous visit. However, your own technician marked my tires in the "GREEN" (8/32" or higher) section on that inspection report. ​If they were truly 6/32", they should have been marked "YELLOW" (Caution). This is documented proof that your "safety inspections" are either being faked or are wildly inaccurate. Calling a customer's factual experience "false" while admitting to a reporting error in the same breath is a poor look for a "President's Award" dealership. ​I chose a specialist who confirmed the tire was safe to repair. I'll stick with experts who provide consistent data over a dealership that "guesses" on safety reports to justify a $550 sale. read more

I had purchased an extended warranty to 150k miles and brought my car in multiple times for an engine leak that I was told couldn't be found until my warranty ran up and now I have a major engine leak and they want to charge 2600 to repair it bc now apparently it can be fixed. also charged 4x the cost as another reputable company for brakes. I had an issue with my Secondary Restraint System. This is the dealership where I bought my 2020 Honda Accord and bring it for oil changes. There have been times that I didn't believe I was being heard. On Friday ( March 1 ) I went to get a part installed that had been ordered to replace the defective one. I was stressed ( most are these days ) out and not happy about the part going bad with less than 19,000 miles on it. I did talk to Jessie a recently promoted service manager. If you're like me, you know when someone's listening. Despite exhibiting anger and defensiveness, Jessie was able to exhibit signs of really listening to me. I have to admit she handled the situation like a pro and was able to have me leave in a positive mood compared to a negative one when I first arrived. I've been going to Joe Morgan Honda for years, bought 2 sets of tires, last set after awhile so noticed a weird sound in one tire but could not determine which tire. Took it into them several times with same complaint. had another tire with issue and was replaced with warranty but noice was still in one of the 3 tires. Was told by one of the employees need to keep driving on them until it was time to get all new tires and then said it's not there it's another issue. Was in 5 times for oil changes and/or to have them look at tire problem. They never could find the problem and made me feel like I was a problem. I got to point where I could not drive with the noise any longer, went to another garage got new tires and problem solved. Wish i could have gotten the problem tire replaced u see warranty instead of buying all new already. Stopped going the JM honda because of their unwillingness to find the bad tire and lack of concern. read more

I rented a car from their collision repair shop. I had rented it at 4pm on a Wednesday, and returned it at 2pm and placed the key in their drop box, I missed their 1pm closing time by 1 hour. But they "generously" charged me for another day, despite the fact that I live 5 hours away and had rented the car to use while my car was in for repairs, and was slowed by construction traffic around Columbus on the way back. A call to the office indicated that I have their sympathy. But they are keeping the money for am.extra day. So I have a pretty low opinion of them, as the car was retuned prior to the time I picked it up by several hours. read more

Took my car to Joe Morgan Collision Center across the Street. Body repair review started on their page. The Estimator, Brad took car over to service after he confirmed alignment was way off and lane assist didn't work at all. He indicated service took care of my 2015 CR-V and "all good" was left on my voicemail from Veronica. I bought from them after one owner had all service work done there up to year prior. That was main reason for using their body shop too. The alignment was done but not very good. It still pulls to the left and constantly forces me to keep from hitting any center concrete barrier on I-75. My Lane assist feature works better but does not hold for more than a minute on a straight highway drive on a clear sunny day. It's alarm keeps going off and then sometimes drives right over the lane lines being center of my hood. Very dangerous and surprised they let me have my car back. My body shop final bill didn't show the alignment repair at all nor notes that they had for other work I requested an estimate. I was told it was on a 2nd repair order. I have asked for a copy of it and the before and after specs. I am waiting for Brad to provide info since he says insurance company needs to pay for more diagnostics and insurance company says dealer needs to correct alignment that was already approved. read more

I bought a certified pre-owned Honda from them. The salesperson himself told me he'd done the checks and confirmed everything on the 182 point of inspection list. I get on the highway, drive 2 hours back home, and the car starts to shake when it goes about 45 mph. I do some research, it sounds like an axle problem. I call them up and they give me a runaround about "no, no, it's certified pre-owned, couldn't possibly be the axle." Drive it the 2 hours back to these crooks and lo and behold-- the axle is broken. On the day I bought it. After I paid several thousand more for the peace of mind of the "certified pre-owned guarantee." Did you have a small toddler checking the axle or what, guys? Furthermore, the finance guy was rude and unhelpful. I asked him a question about registering in a different state and his literal response was to shrug and say "good question." These people can't do their jobs. Don't buy a car from them. read more

I've never bought a vehicle at Joe Morgan, but I've always had good experiences with the service department. Maintenance visits are usually less than an hour and the place never seems particularly crowded. Lots of space in the waiting area and free wifi if you're staying, or you can get a rental (I believe it's free but you have to reserve it in advance). The prices tend to be cheaper than other area dealers like Superior, and they won't do work on your car if it isn't necessary. The one thing that ruffles my feathers is the survey that follows each visit. They guilt trip you at the dealership with repeated reminders that "anything less than 100% means we failed." This actually keeps me from providing feedback, because I don't want a phone call about why I gave them an 85% or whatever. Not sure if this is a dealer policy or a Honda policy, but I don't care for it. Let customers respond anonymously and give the rating they want without guilt and you'll get usuable feedback! read more

I have used Joe Morgan Honda to repair my Honda Accord twice. After having work done at two other area Honda dealerships, Joe Morgan Honda eclipsed all other service departments. Recently I took car in to have a headlight bulb replaced. Within 15 minutes of arrival, my car was washed and the headlight bulb replaced for the cost of the bulb. I used the dealership's website to inquire about open-end leasing for a Honda Ridgeline. I received a call from the dealership soon after I ended the website chat. I asked if they provided open-end leases for the Ridgeline and the young lady on the phone said, "yes we do, but we won't get any Ridgelines in until November." I said, "that's fine." And then she hung up Didn't bother to give me any pricing, or lease term options, or ask which Ridgeline model I was interested in. We bought a car from Joe Morgan Honda in June of 2019 and was promised a signed ball. As a life long reds fan I was happy my son was buying his first car from Joe Morgan Honda. We have repeatedly called and even gone there for service and they have failed to provide the basic signed ball that was agreed upon as part of the sale. They never seem to have one no matter how many times i attempt. They never contact me when Joe comes to town and delivers more balls. Not sure why fed ex can't deliver one to a customer? Never a thought from joe Morgan Staff. They never offer to contact me, its all on the customer since they have the sale completed. The sales person was pushy and ignored me, being the female and talked to the men in the conversation. I regret I didn't drag my son out of there that day seeing as I was the cosigner on the loan and was disregarded in the conversation. Not good or fair in business practices. I recommend their good ole boy staff get some training on basic customer etiquette. I would rate the service team much higher, but the credibility of the sales staff is terrible. Basing this review on a coworker's experience, whom I accompanied while she got her oil changed. We arrived to the this facility with no one ahead of us. As we pull in, another vehicle pulled up behind us and the staff tended to them first. To my knowledge, this was a first-come, first served; however we were baffled & thought maybe they had an appointment? Regardless, we were not acknowledged until AFTER the car behind us was done checking in. We came just to get an oil change for a 2013 Honda Civic. For what happened to us in the beginning, they were pretty quick (maybe too quick) on our service. To make a long story short, they did not tighten the oil cap, causing our car to leak oil then overheat as we drove home. We only noticed this as we were on the highway and smoke started coming from the hood. As we pulled over, we noticed a significant puddle of oil under the car. We immediately contacted Honda, WHO ADMITTED their mistake and said to bring the car in so they can further inspect what had happened. WELL THE ONLY WAY TO DO THAT was to replace the oil that had leaked and to place another temporary magnetic oil cap. Thank God her husband was able to do all of these things (she's pregnant and I'm useless lol) Upon bringing the car back to Honda, we were told that there was absolutely nothing wrong, seeing as there was a good amount of clean oil and the oil cap was intact. UHM YEAH, we had to do what was needed to drive the car safely! In other words, if you want your car to go up in smoke, literally, DO NOT bring your Honda here for service! read more

On Sept. 6, 2019, I took our CRV to Joe Morgan for 60K mile service. There was nothing wrong with the CRV. On the drive home and for the next few weeks the mileage dropped to 22 mpg. I tired changing gas stations but the still got 22 mpg. On 9/22, I decided to investigate the brakes and pressed the emergency brake and released. The mpg went to 28 and has stayed between 28 to 30. I called Morgan Honda and asked for the service advisor from the 60k service. I left a messages on 9/23 and 9/27, no reply as of 10/16. Therefore Morgan has lost my service business and new car business. In the past our family has used Monroe Auto Repair [109 S. Main St] for our other Hondas. For the CRV service, we will use Monroe Auto Repair and for new Hondas will return to Performance Honda. read more

Love this place. We have our 2006 Honda Accord serviced here. Called to get our car in on Saturday because I don't have time during the week. Our check engine light came on, they don't normally do anything besides oil changes on the weekend. Very understanding of my new job and no time during the week and asked me to get here as early as possible on Saturday and they would get me in. I got here at 7:45am (they open at 8). They opened the doors at 7:50 and started bringing people in. Within 5 minutes I was checked in and in the waiting room watching tv and drinking coffee. Within 20 minutes they had a diagnosis and within 60 minutes my car was fixed and I was on my way. I would highly recommend this place for any servicing needs. I usually do all the maintenance on our cars but this is a really busy time and so my wife took our 2017 honda civic to the dealership for an oil change. The oil change was $55.00 but somehow they convinced her that she also needed a $364.99 brake fluid flush as well. I am a car guy, my wife is a hair stylist and drives like a grandma. Before she took the car in those brakes worked like they were perfectly new mostly because she drives so slow she never needs to use the brakes. I am really disappointed in this dealership for selling services that were not needed at all. Even if the brake fluid change had been needed they price they charged was triple what it should have been. According to google the average price for a brake fluid change is $75- $120. If you are not a car person be careful that this dealership doe not give you a nice big smile and then proceed to empty out your wallet! read more

My experience at Joe Morgan has been great. I've been coming here for service for four-five years and have had consistently positive experiences. today was no different. My car suddenly wouldn't start and I had it towed there two days before Thanksgiving. The service bay was packed with cars. I knew (or thought) they wouldn't be able to look at it until Wednesday because of all the pre-holiday oil changes and service. I got a call, with resolution in less than four hours. The service manager, Mike, has consistently had positive, helpful people in his area and I will continue coming here.
