Stopped in today just for their prime rib dinner. We got there really early as we know this place can fill up fast, and we were seated quickly and Kelly our friendly waitstaff for the evening was on top of drink and appetizer orders. Since I have always been a fan of their food, we decided on a whim to head over and try their prime rib dinner. We ordered the cheese curds which are normally filled with cheese but these had a lot of breading and little on the cheese, must have been a weird batch tonight, there is always next time. My wife ordered their chicken sandwich with tots, which seems to be her go to dish at Joe Mamma's. Again her sandwich was really tasty and had their trademark bun to confirm where it was made. I had to order their Saturday night special of prime rib, subbing the potato side with haystack onion rings. The prime rib was decent, but it was missing the usual prime rib seasoned crust and the flavor that follows it, and it was not fork and (butter) knife tender, however it was early in the prime rib dinner offering so maybe I received an oddity just like the cheese curds. The service is always friendly and the food good, we will be back to debunk the curd and prime rib offerings of tonight. read more

If you like the traditional, small town restaurant feel, this place is perfect. The staff is friendly as ever, and the service is quick and accurate. The bang for your buck is unmatched as well. For $64, we got (2 people) an appetizer, king Prime Rib, and Cowboy Burger. Everything was cooked well and timely. The prime rib was one of the BEST I have ever had. Usually they are wide, thinner, and fatty. This one was VERY thick and had little to know fat strands. Overall, very good experience. We stopped at Joe Mamas on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. It's your typical sports oriented bar and grill. The bar and dining areas are spacious, clean and appear to have been recently remodeled or decorated. The service was fast and friendly. The menu is solid with burgers, sandwiches and the usual sides. Our meal included the Bang Bang Shrimp which was delicious with just enough seasoning on the shrimp to be tasty without being overbearing. A little further out west in the suburbs of Milwaukee, this random bar/grill may go unnoticed! It was not just some dive place on the side of the road though and the food was pretty good. They have a whole list of burgers, mac n cheese, pizza and more. One of the best cheese curds I've had - crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside all within a small square pillow. Also had the burger with the Mac n cheese bun, you can feel the heart attack coming but so worth it!! That bun really makes a difference and the burger was so good too. We love love Joe Mamas....but...the last two times we've been there we have been disappointed with the food. We don't want this restaurant to go downhill, but thought we should point it out. We recommend Joes to everyone saying "we have never had a bad meal, you gotta try it". Unfortunately, we cant say that anymore. The burgers were overcooked, the mac was dry, the reuben had ham instead of corned beef. Hopefully the kinks get worked out soon. We don't want to complain, but someone needs to be aware. read more

Tried the Bourbon Peach Old Fashioned and it was a perfect balance of Peach and Bourbon. The customary mulled cherry and orange slice were still included. It is fish fry Friday, so I had the deep-fried cod, and the wife had the baked cod. Nice size fish portions on each and very tasty. The battered French fries are always tasty, and that light batter is such a nice change of pace. The wife had the potato pancakes, and she was raving about them. She considers herself an aficionado on that offering. We're going back next week because they are serving one of their weekly sandwich specials that is calling my name. It is a pastrami something or other on a rye hoagie roll. Every sandwich special this month would have been a treat. Great meat and a well toasted bun that held together well for the burger and its toppings. My friend let me try the Mac n Cheeses he had. A fantastic beer cheese that was hearty without being heavy. Such a fun place set in a beautiful area of WI. The staff are so friendly and quick. The food is amazing. You will never leave hungry.

This was a cute little place. Nice selection of bar food but with some more interesting flavors and ingredients than typical pub fare. Mac and cheese is their "thing." Their specials change out weekly and you can see what's coming up. We went on a Wednesday. It was insanely packed so service was a little slow and chaotic but they were friendly and apologetic. I had a mushroom and Swiss black bean burger and it was impressively tasty. Nice, flavorful with lots of gooey cheese. Perfect! The place looks rather small inside but they make up for it by serving delicious Mac and cheese items on their menu as well as variety of alcoholic drinks to choose from. I really enjoyed the food very much. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try something new and is a huge fan of Mac and cheese. Why stop there? The staff is very friendly and the waitresses are absolutely stunning and amazing.
