I was in the area, so why not check this store out! Joann has everything!! They have tons of selections for anything involving baking, arts and crafts, sewing/fabrics, toys, seasonal decorations, and more. Although a little pricey on certain items but they also have lots of great deals. Wasn't trying to buy a thing but when I saw this aisle of paper pads, Omg! What I need for my scrapbook. There's sooo much to choose from (can't decide). They sell it individually or by pad in a discounted price. Washi tapes, stamps, stickers that's great for your BuJo (that too!). 4 stars because there were lots of empty/un stocked shelves and boxes in some places, scattered merchandise in different aisles. Customer service was helpful and knowledgeable.

If you're creative, this is a place you will want to visit. Excellent spot to find gifts for creative people of all ages! Bonus: the staff are all friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I was having trouble finding something and the staff member walked me right to the spot and made sure I found what I needed. The parking lot is large and easy, and the front entrance is accessible with no stairs. Restrooms are gender-neutral. The building itself is set away from the main street and hard to see if you don't know it's there. There is a tiny "Hyatt" sign at the driveway, which is shared with the oil change place. Go past the oil change place and you'll see the large blue building. This store is well worth seeking out.

They absolutely have what you are looking for. Whether it is a violet interference powder or a handmade stationary it will be there. The service is always excellent as well. The person cashing you out will always be friendly, cheerful, and interested in what you're working on. The staff will steer you towards a beautiful product that will work better than anything as well. It takes all of my free will to not take a pic of it and go to Michael's or buy it direct for half the price though. When I was in undergrad it was fun to hear here and get "the nice" supplies but the price increases just give me anxiety when I come here. Like I have to choose whether I want to be able to get a flight to NYC round trip or buy what I want there.

I was given classes at ArtYard as a gift several times, and each time by the end of the session, I vowed not to return. Have you ever experienced waiting in line somewhere while the associate chit chats with others, like you're not even there? You might have a question, but you're stuck, waiting, until they're good and ready to address you? And your inquiry is even brief, but you must wait? This is what it feels like taking a "class" at ArtYard - it's really more like you're renting the studio space for six weeks, which if you had acquired the necessary skills would be fine. I expected an attentive teacher walking around offering encouragement, tips and advice to students, and rooting them on, like the substitute that was there once, he was amazing! However, you must simply wait for a break in the conversation, say please, and not chew gum in class if you'd like help. Or to keep from idling, ask another student for help. One can be talented at what they do, but not have the heart of a teacher. (And yes, I understand that there is a certain amount of trial and error to creating art such as pottery: figuring things out, making your own mistakes, trying, trying again. I get that. I am a designer for a living.) Contacting the instructor - via phone, email or text - was unpredictable, you may or may not get a response. Sadly, I got to the point where I could take "the attitude" no longer: frustrated, upset, and humiliated, I walked out of the second class, and didn't return. And no one with the heart of a teacher would allow that to go unnoticed. But they did.

Hobby Lobby: Come for one frame, leave with fall exploding in your trunk. THAT should be their…read moredadgum slogan! Let me be clear: I'm not what you'd call a crafter. In my head, sure--I'm out here crocheting whimsical potholders and making my own scented candles like some kind of Pinterest sorceress. In reality? I want to wake up with the skillset of a seasoned maker without ever enduring the YouTube tutorial struggle. I don't want to learn to crochet--I just want to already know, you feel me? But none of that stops me from wandering the aisles of Hobby Lobby like I belong there. Because baby, I do. I may not be gluing rhinestones to wreaths, but when it comes to home decor? This is my Super Bowl. No matter the style, no matter the season--modern farmhouse, vintage cottagecore, "my house looks like an antique shop and I love it" chic--Hobby Lobby always delivers. Fall? They've got pumpkins in every size and personality. Christmas? Don't even get me started unless you want to hear me wax poetic about artificial garland and buffalo plaid. Need a random decorative sign that says "Gather" in cursive? Oh honey, they have seven. And I will consider them all. (Who am I kidding: I already own all seven!) Walking into Hobby Lobby is like entering a magical vortex where time doesn't exist and your cart fills itself. I always leave with twice as many items and zero regrets. And while I may not craft, I absolutely curate vibes--and Hobby Lobby is my go-to for all things "seasonal personality disorder but make it stylish." Five stars. Ten stars. A whole galaxy of stars. And a cart full of throw pillows.

My mom seems to shop here somewhat often but now that I know, I'll be honest: I don't love the overt Christian branding and that alone will never make this store my first choice. That said, I can't deny the variety they offer. No matter what craft you're into whether it be sewing, quilting, painting, home decor, seasonal projects, etc. Hobby Lobby seems to have just about everything imaginable under one roof even if it may be extremely challenging to find/the layout of the store wasn't great... While I'd prefer to shop elsewhere when possible, I can see myself returning if I'm in a pinch or need something specific. I can admit it's a convenient option. Three stars for selection and convenience with some hesitation on the overall vibes and prices.

Even more so, they offer a section for bday parties, which I think is nice for crafters, but it really lacked the luster I would want if I was hosting a bday here, adult or especially child. I did like the selection of Halloween stuff. There's traditional black and orange, there's more girly and modern stuff, and there was a section for black and deep purples they were starting to put up. Another nice thing is they had plenty of registers, including self-checkout AND people working their own registers.

Sooo, I turned to "Siri" and asked where Michael's was & it was down,a little over a mile further . It was right past the Amherst Buffet parking lot (yes, that's what I refer to it as,lol), and in the plaza where Trader Joe's is. It's way in the back of Trader Joe's lot. Easy enough to see when you're driving down Niagara Falls Boulevard. The new location is more spacious, cleaner & it seemed like it had more products. I , of course wanted to but everything I saw, but we went there for 1 thing, which they didn't end up having. I ended up getting something anyways (hehehehe), & they were cheap, which is why Jim bought them for me. =D. (I always make him spend too much $$) So, it's a very nice store, large selection, neat & clean, Nice employees, but of course, crazy expensive! I do mean crazy EXPENSIVE for most things. Otherwise, if you need stuff for almost any kind of "crafty" project, they probably have it.

They have an old system and they don't take electronic payments. it's just kind of wonky how they do everything at that store. Hence the love-hate relationship!
