I described the issue to Danny over the phone, and he was able to expertly troubleshoot the problem before even coming out. He then went out of his way to squeeze me into his schedule the very next day, which meant a lot because, as anyone with a family knows, you can't go long without a working washing machine! Danny has the experience and knowledge to quickly diagnose problems and get them fixed properly. Just as importantly, he charges fair and reasonable rates. We've continued to use D&M Appliance Repair over the years because we trust Danny's expertise, honesty, and workmanship. It's hard to find someone you can genuinely rely on these days. If you need appliance repair, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Danny and D&M Appliance Repair. Five stars all around!

Literally no conversation at all except, "I don't want to do this job." When I called the main number, the dispatcher apologized for the worker's behavior and offered an alternative handy person to stop by 2 days later. I was literally left speechless by this level of unprofessionalism - especially when the person is being paid by the hour and not a flat fee. Appreciate that the dispatcher took responsibility and was apologetic, and not defensive at all. However, having planned for more than a week and having moved work commitments for this, it's not acceptable.

After weeks of warm drinks, rock-less cocktails, and an inability to put ice on sore muscles, I contacted Mike. He got back to me quickly and sent a technician here right away. Unlike a New York public school teacher during covid, the technician got to work. He removed the ice maker assembly and suggested it might need to be replaced. I began mental preparations for taking out a second mortgage, as Viking parts are absurdly expensive. In short order, he determined that the assembly worked fine (pretty impressive for a 20-year old fridge). A piece of food had gotten into it and blocked the water flow. He fixed it, put it back, and I was back in the ice-making business in no time. He could have totally fleeced me, but did not -- restoring my faith in humanity, but not New York's teachers' unions.

Alex, the technician came during that time window and also gave me a call 20 minutes before his arrival to give me a heads up. I love how communicative the entire NY Viking Team is. When he arrived, he made sure to cover his shoes with blue covers and he was able to quickly diagnose that my oven door needed new hinges and gave me the price, which I agreed to before he then promptly fixed everything. For folks who want peace of mind that their oven will get fixed and don't have these technical skills, I definitely recommend giving NY Viking a call.
