The paint project was extensive - it included changing color, trim, ceilings, kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities on a 1,700 sqft, four level home in Fairfax. The previous paint job was horrendous and there was extensive settlement cracking that needed to be repaired. Jon was professional when he bid for the work submitting a very thoughtful and complete proposal. Unlike most professionals in the industry Jon was an excellent communicator and always put my mind at ease. I would gladly recommend Jon to my friends and family and it would be a pleasure to hire him again for my next painting project.

The walls & ceilings were all a butter color and original to 1988, needless to say it was gross. We received 5 estimates and truthfully they were all over the map. As a last resort I checked out Thumbtack and received 3 responses relatively quickly. I responded to Jon and another company and after two questions from the other company they stopped replying. Jon came out and gave us a free estimate and we were able to talk about the project in detail. Our walls were in rough shape and said he'd be able to fix all of it including the holes and nail pops. While he wasn't the cheapest of our quotes but he had some wonderful recommendations on thumbtack and after our conversation my husband and I really felt he was the company for us. As this is our first home we were especially selective in hiring someone. In four days he tackled a huge project and we simply couldn't be happier. You will not be disappointed in having Passport Painting handle your project! Passport will be the only company we call for any painting projects moving forward.

Jim and his coworkers really know what they are doing, communicate well, and are able to adjust the scope of the project as issues arise (this always happens). We felt they were very fairly priced for the project and we will use them in the future for all of our painting needs.

Do not hire this company to do painting and drywall. Raymond Gomez is the owner and the person…read morebehind the lies that were told to my husband and I when we hired him to hang drywall and paint a basement room that had flooded. He was also hired to repair three additional drywall areas in our home; basement bathroom, kitchen ceiling above stove, and corner ceiling and wall in master bathroom. Raymond guaranteed we would be very happy with his work, that he would took special care to hang thick plastic sheeting to contain drywall mess and splatter. He did none of this! Our house is destroyed with a thick white film of drywall dust throughout and covering everything we own in our home! We could not even allow him to finish the three additional areas due to the excessive mess and drywall splatter throughout our home! Raymond also lied about the time frame; he said three days max, working on weekends if need be. But no, three days turned into two weeks and no one worked over the weekend. Raymond also underbid on the square footage and was mad at my husband and I because he " would not make much money from our job"! Then Raymond had the nerve to talk down to me as if I were stupid when I gave him my paint colors. It definitely appears that Raymond detest women and has no problem not keeping his word. He also has no respect for our home and did absolutely nothing to contain the mess, even though his contract stated he would provide drop cloths, tape, and coverings to contain the drywall and he provided nothing! We had to use all of our good sheets to cover what we could, but to no avail! Currently my home is trashed with drywall dust and incomplete drywall repairs due to his lack of professionalism and poor communication skills.

So we gave them a call when we needed some interior painting done. Dave was prompt and thoughtful as he inspected our project area and he was very honest in his analysis. His pricing was fair and transparent. We ended up waiting to do the interior work during colder months when he offers discounts for interior painting. He gave us a great price and scheduled the work right away. His team did an amazing job and was very respectful, cleaning up at the end of each day. They also resolved a minor misunderstanding about paint colors with excellent customer service. We also had Wokenfus replace French doors which we had purchased most of the supplies ahead of time. They did an amazing job around the botched work of a previous contractor and made the doors look beautiful! He also provided quotes for some other interior carpentry. Unfortunately we are holding on some of that work to focus on recent water damage elsewhere. Dave seems to understand that establishing a long term trusted relationship with his clients is an important part of running his business. I hope to be able to provide an update after our exterior painting is completed.

Wockenfuss painted my house twice. The first time he did a good job the second time I had a small…read moreissue which he would not fix for me. There was a rotten strip of wood that was not repaired during the painting process. About a week after he left I found a small rotten piece of wood over the garage door. You could put your finger through it. He told me to use wood filler and then paint it. You can fill small holes not an 18 inch strip. He told me to come back it would be $550 to do the work and I had the wood. So instead of paying that ridiculous price I called my handyman and had him do the work and buy the materials. It was $216 total. Then I filed a claim with the County Board Department of Labor for the $216. Mr. Wockenfuss did not want to pay and wrote a letter stating why and never honored the warranty or his work. I consider him a poor businessman. Yes he gives a decent price but he is not a decent person. So buyer beware. If everything goes well and he can leave rotten wood where you can't see it, you will be happy with his work. Beware if you want an honorable contractor. This happened in 2022. I was going through some old papers and decided to submit this before I throw the papers away.

It was easy-peasy working withe him, we chose the paint color, and he did all the rest, buying the paint, etc. Painting is just not rolling paint on the wall, but also attention to trimmings, baseboards, and doors, in addition to prepping the walls very nicely and painting straight edges (line between trim and walls). Devil is in the details. He was very reliable and well-priced. The workmanship was very well done. He did the job done in a week, which was what we needed, and house is three levels.

New tile backsplash, new light fixtures, new faucets, lots of painting, grout work, etc.--the answer was always yes! We were even having new appliances delivered while he was working and although they were supposed to come with installation, the people that were sent to perform the install were hopeless and full of one excuse after the next. I turned to Miguel and he said, of course, I can take care of all of it, and he did. He even helped me out by taking my old refrigerator in his van to our new house to put in our basement. His work was done with care and for a fair price, and I just really appreciated how easy and pleasant it was to work with him and how solutions-oriented he was.

His crew is a reflection of his knowledge and professionalism and they were kind, attentive to our needs, and absolute professionals at their trade. Their work encompassed nearly whole house wall repair and paint, ceiling and trim/door painting, installing recessed lighting, and changing out light fixtures. Their work was truly impressive and it's unbelievable the results they provided. They were careful with furniture and ensured that all floors and carpets were covered prior to all work.
