I was very impressed with Spiro's eye for detail during our initial walk-through. He explained that his fee includes evening out imperfections in the walls and even conducting minor repairs. And he did come through the house prior to the first big paint day to spackle and plaster. The house was partially empty as we were in the process of moving in, but did have some furniture and boxes scattered around. Spiro and his team worked together with our interior decorator to plan out the various paint colors -- we used eight different colors. They also worked carefully around the stuff we had in the house. We also used wallpaper on seven walls, which Spiro's son Dion subcontracted out to a guy he's worked with frequently, Wilfredo. Wilfredo and his team did an awesome job on the paper -- aligning it carefully, doing a masterful job covering outlet plates, and even wrangling peel and stick wallpaper. Even more, Spiro was willing to come back on a few occasions when we had questions or needed a touch up because we stupidly made a deep scratch in our new front door after only a day (d'oh). And on top of all that, Spiro and Dion are such nice guys. I can't recommend them highly enough and we will definitely work with them again in the future.

About a week after the house was washed, I noticed some dirt spots..not Tom's fault, and I called him to figure out how I could handle them. I needed my gutters cleaned and to power wash my townhouse and paint some stairs. Tom's price was definitely much higher than the other companies I received estimates from but he seemed professional and kept going on about how he was one of the only ones that was licensed and bonded. Even though he said it would be 7 weeks before he had availability to come out and get to my house I still hired him. He said once I give him the check for the down payment that he would give me a date that would lock me in. My date was July 15th and that date came and went and the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st all came and went. I finally called him on the 22nd and he called me back and apologized and told me he would be there next Monday. On Monday he calls me and says he can't make it on account of all this rain we are getting but he would be there Wednesday. I have no idea what he was talking about because it never rained but I'm a very reasonable guy so I told him not to worry and Wednesday would be fine. He comes out Wednesday to power wash the house which only takes him about 90 minutes and says that the paint I selected for the outdoor deck stairs is not very good and that he has a "special sealant stain that he uses that would only be XX dollars and that I'm in luck because he has it in stock." The paint I selected is 10 year outdoor Behr paint that I have used several times before and works great. He comes back the following week to paint the stairs and is in such a rush that he misses several spots. When my wife and I point it out to him he says "it's the paints fault, it's total ****, this stuff is like water." It's not the paints fault that there are several spots of the stairs that never were touched by his paint brush. He took on too many jobs and spread himself so thin that he did a rush job. I would not hire Tom again, awful customer service with no pride in his work or attention to detail.

But the owner was very helpful to make everything right. Communications were also a problem because the flooring team seemd to not speak English and thus we could not effectively communicate with any of them. They were courteous, stuck to the project timeline, hard working, and wore masks. They paid special attention to moving our larger furniture pieces (fee involved) and putting it back when the floor was ready.Overall we are very pleased.

The real gem for me were our workers - I came home one day to about 30 boxes for our Lovesac sectional couch. My husband was away and I was completely panicked how I was going to get the large, heavy boxes in. The workers were wrapping up for the day and they offered to help unload them for me. I was so grateful!! I tried everything to get them to take a tip but they refused. It was an absolute lifesaver and their willingness to just step in seeing my anxiety on my face was a true testament to how good people are.
