A tree branch cracked my windshield on Friday. I made an appointment for Saturday 9am-12pm. Someone called me to tell me that it was too cold to perform the procedure, so I rescheduled for Monday 9am-12pm. On Monday AM, no one showed up. When I called to ask why there was a no-show, the admin told me that the service was never scheduled properly in the system. She rescheduled me for Wednesday 9am-12pm. However, with the 2 feet of snow coming on Tuesday, I didn't feel that the windshield would hold up, so I asked if I could drop my car off and keep it in their garage overnight on Monday and Tuesday, until the Wednesday AM procedure. The phone admin said that it would be acceptable. When I walked into JN Phillips, the desk associate didn't look up for what felt like a couple of minutes. I stood awkwardly at the desk waiting. When I gave her my keys, she said, in a condescending tone that keeping cars wasn't normal practice and that JN Phillips was doing me a favor. I thanked her for the exception. She continued, in a crass tone, with the comments of how this was unusual. I informed her that I tried to schedule it twice, and that JN Phillips made an scheduling error. She seemed embarrassed and apologized. The apology was appreciated, but regardless, if JN Phillips was doing me a favor, I feel strongly that a guilt trip is not warranted. The glass is shiny and new. It was done quickly, and the e-mail notification was efficient. I appreciate that JN Phillips recycles their windshields. However, there's a glass left over inside the car from the crack. I don't expect a detail, but I would have appreciated expect a quick wipe down. read more

I would rather drive down the highway at excessive speed, with no windshield, while it was raining knives than to have to deal with this company ever again. Thankfully the appointment I made with them never came to fix my windshield, so at least it gives me a chance to take my business elsewhere! I have always used JN Phillips Auto Glass for windshield repairs. In the last 7 or 8 years I have needed about 5 windshields replaces on various vehicles. I grew up in the area of this location and my parents still live in that house nearby. So when I recently had a windshield replaced after finding it cracked one morning, It was convenient to drop the car off and walk to my parents house where I could hang out, get some work done, and wait for the window to get fixed. A couple of issues on this particular visit... #1 - For the first time ever I have an issue with the quality of their product. There was a scratch on the brand new windshield. It isn't major, it doesn't affect the safety of the window, but that is extremely annoying to be noticing a scratch on your window 5 minutes after leaving the place. It looks like it may have been nicked during installation. #2 - How hard is it to call a customer when their car is ready? This has been a problem almost every single time I have gone here. It is also extremely annoying to finally just show back up and ask if the car is ready, to find out that it is, and was actually ready more than 2 hours earlier. This is downright disrespectful. I've been a loyal customer - Do not waste my time! #3 - Not only did I learn from my paperwork that my car was ready 2 hours prior to me showing back up at the store, but I received 2 sets of paperwork. One of the sets of paperwork was for a DIFFERENT CUSTOMER. I was handed another customers paperwork with their name and basic information along with their car & insurance info. Is it a major breach? No. Should they be doing a better job of protecting their customer's information? I would certainly hope so. I actually didn't realize this was the case until a few days later when I was cleaning out my car. I promptly shredded the paperwork. The next time I get my windshield replaced, I will be exploring other options. Because there's a lot more to treating customers well than you think JN. read more

Had a windshield replaced by them a few years ago that was never completely sealed and I could hear wind noise and occasional drops of water leak through. I didn't care too much back then because it was a crappy car. I gave them a second chance with replacing the shattered rear windshield and they didn't clean out all of the glass from the rear of the car and they somehow got some into the locking mechanism. The rear door worked fine in the few days between the shattering of the glass and the work done on it but stopped working after their service. They made an empty promise of paying for the fix after confirming the actuator worked but after the fix they said its not their fault that because of what is in the waiver . My car was broken into (Bastards!) and the driver's side window smashed. This is where my insurance place told me to go, and they did not lead me astray. Dropped my car off the next morning at the shop, and they had it ready for me to pick up within a few hours. And when a few days later, a little piece of broken glass kept the window from rolling up and down smoothly, someone came to my apartment building and fixed it in the parking lot! Talk about service! I didn't have to worry about any paperwork or paying for anything, the whole transaction went super-smoothly between JN Phillips and my insurance. I'm hoping I never need to deal with anything like this again - but if or when I do, I know where I will go. read more

The technician showed up late, after replaced the windshield , molding not sitting properly, scratched the hood when removing the wiper arm, dirty fingerprint all around inside the panel around the windshield , so back to redone the job again, waste time. read more

Terrible, awful!! I wasted three days waiting around for them and they never showed up! I was first told they would come Friday afternoon (never showed) then Saturday morning at the latest (never showed and not even a phone call). We were supposed to take my car on vacation but instead had to take my husband's truck bc the windshield wasn't fixed. When I got back from vacation I called to reschedule. The woman was snippy with me, but assured me someone would come Monday afternoon between 1-5pm. On Monday, I called at 1:30 to confirm they were actually coming because it was raining. I was told yes by the customer service rep, and in fact they were on route and should be at my house at 2pm. We cleared out the garage so that the technician wouldn't have to work in the rain. Nobody ever came. We called them at 5pm and they tried to tell us that the appointment was for Tuesday, not Monday. No, sorry, I already called TODAY and was told they were coming at 2pm. Liars. We rescheduled for a FOURTH time for Tuesday morning and I had to change my entire schedule bc I had a work and a doctor's appointment and they would not commit to a specific time only "between the hours of 1 and 5." Great! I have nothing better to do than waste an entire afternoon sitting around waiting? They are not the least bit contrite, either. Seriously, use ANY OTHER auto glass company!! read more

Do not even bother going here. The person showed up to my apartment without the proper equipment. I had to wait until the following week to bring my car into the actual shop. When I arrived the technician looked at it for two seconds and refused to fix the glass. He claimed it would be too expensive to fix and that the insurance would t cover it, because he claimed that rust was under the windshield. He wanted to total my car because if it. I brought it to a different company, and they immediately agreed to fix it without issue. They did not indicate that there was any rust under the windshield. read more

This is the best place to go for auto glass in Quincy. They take care of your car, and they finish the job quickly. They also stand by their work. I have had the windshield replaced on my 22-yr. old Buick here twice, and was very satisfied! They have even replaced my windshield once for free because the molding around the top of the window was screwed up (after the car was painted), and could only be repaired by doing the job over again... My windshield was cracked in two places. I called JN Phillips this morning and it was fixed within hours, in my driveway, and I wasn't home at the time. I surfed into their website and started an online chat with a customer service rep. She called me within minutes and scheduled the work, and it was done. The customer service rep contacted the insurance company online while I was on the phone to be sure I was covered by insurance. The technician called when he was almost to my house to do the work and when he was leaving to tell me that it was done and how soon I could drive my car. There is no mess and the car might be cleaner than they found it. All in all a great experience. Every experience as a customer should be this pain-free,and pleasant. read more

I was quite impressed with the quality of service offered by JN Phillips Auto Glass in Quincy, MA. I had a broken windshield that needed replacing, and initally went to another business, which supposedly ordered my windshield, and then made me wait almost a month, only for them to inform me that they hadn't ordered my windshield. Sort of the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand. I decided to try JN Phillips Auto Glass, and within 4 days after calling them, my windshield was replaced! If you want service and personnel that knows what they're doing, contact the Quincy location. They'll provide great service. read more

I highly do not recommend using this company. I had a crack in my windshield and scheduled what should have been a simple replacement. Worst customer service ever - and absolutely bizarre. First they changed my appointment from the following day to 9 days later. I told them since they were changing it so far ahead I wouldn't be able to have it parked in my driveway at that date, it would be at a garage. They told me that they can do stations and garages and inf fact do that all the time. I told them I park at Quincy Adams ; They instructed me to leave my car on the top floor unlocked and not around any other cars. Fast forward to that day, I did exactly as they said and hopped on the train during rush hour. I then received a call from the driver without even a hello or introduction and said "I am here where are you". I had to ask him 3x where he was calling from. Once I finally realized it was the truck driver I told him I wasn't there, and had said all along it would be left there, and I parked the car on the top level just as instructed. He then said he couldn't find it and wanted me to give him directions to the station? I told him he needed to figure that out because I was on a crowded train. He then called me back and wanted me to turn around from my train/commute into Boston to let him in through the entrance of the station because he didn't have money to get out of the station and no credit card? It was so weird I thought it was a prank from someone I knew. I then told him that was ridiculous that I organized this through his office and to work it out with them, I was not going to turn around and meet him at a train station and let him in and out of a turn style on foot. I called the main office to let them know what was going on, not once but twice just minutes after this occurred. They apologized and said they would look into it and call me right back. They never did. I finally called back in late afternoon to make sure it was all squared away and gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the person was new. They had total attitude with me on the phone and said "yeah the guy couldn't get in, ya wanna reschedule?" I said no, this is awful customer service, I want to speak with the manager. I was put on hold for a few minutes and told by the same girl, yeah he said we couldn't do it and he cant talk to you. I said to the girl this is the worst customer service situation, she said " do you need anything else today?" with attitude, no apologies, concern to rectify or make things better... just pure attitude. So, take it from me, save yourself a twilight zone morning of phone calls and use someone who cares. I will never ever use nor recommend this company. read more

After slicing the interior post where windshield meets glass I had to call corporate to get the issue resolved . The local shop ( Quincy ) manager was rude and argumentative . He told me the damage was already there ( brand new car) . I would not trust them again with my car. The worst we have experienced! read more

My experience was in Hyannis. My 97 Town Car back windshield needed to be replaced. Tech came out finished extracting the old one and then told me that he had the glass, not the molding. Shortly thereafter Kim called from the shop to inform me the molding was no longer produced. I would need to find on Ebay or such. I spent a good deal of time trying to locate. To no avail. Contacted the corporate office to see if there was some other solution. They referred back to Kim in Hyannis. Days later Kim notified my Insurance that she saw the part on Ebay. The Insurance called me to advise I could buy it and then be reimbursed. Checked Ebay, right part wrong year, 98 not 97, major difference in body styles. Contacted Giant Glass. They advised the glass and molding came together and when could I bring it to the shop. I am assured the vehicle will be completed for Monday. Apparently GIANT knows a bit more about the industry. read more

They have to be the worst location 1017 Hancock st Quincy had my windshield replaced then fond out that the molding around the outside was falling off I called and made a new appointment to have them fix it and this is where it all goes down hill I show up for the appointment and then they tell me that they don't have the part to replace so they make a new appointment to come to me on Monday at 9am they never show up and don't call me when I called at 3:15 was told that I would get a call back they never do I had to call the main number and complain to customer service .finally got it fixed never again will I go there insurance company must get a kick back if they keep pushing this glass company to do the repairs. read more

What a joke. The "professors of auto glass" left such a gap in my windshield you could hear the wind. It was amazing. This has happened a few times so I just laugh when I hear their commercials. Problem is they're in bed with the insurance companies so it's hard sometimes to get someone else but I avoid them if I can. read more

Day of my appointment drove my car, was told earlier they had correct windshield , after waiting 45 minutes, wrong windshield. Can I come back at 3. I can't, already missed half a day of work. Reschedule for Thursday 9 am sharp, 9 no Phillips. Call customer service, they say tech should be there, ask if I want to be called back with an eta. I say yes. Nobody calls. 9:30 call again, customer service transfers me over to Quincy office. I speak to Wendy, she tells me I am on a list of people she has to call. I mention my appointment was for 9 a.m. and it is now 9:30 and this is my second call, and I am still waiting for my eta call. Wendy tells me she does not control the weather. Guess she does not control the phone or a watch either. Six hours of my life gone still no wind shield. Worst customer service I have had in a very long time. Avoid the fine people of Phillips Glass like the plague, especially the Quincy office! Just in case you were wondering Wendy does not control the weather. read more

I will never use this company again. I got my windshield replaced twice in two days from the Quincy location. Three days later when it was pouring rain I ended up with almost two inches of water inside the vehicle. I brought it to my insurance company's attention so they told me to have jn Phillips replace it once again which I was not happy about. The manager took a look at it thinking he was a mechanic and told me it was not from the windshield and claimed to have fixed whatever was causing the leak. Weeks later, I have another flood. I will go through my insurance company again to get the windshield replaced from a glass company that is honest and careful,unlike jn Phillips. read more

My car was broken into for its airbag. Brought my car here to replace the driver's window. I later discovered this shop never put the factory vapor barrier back on the inside panel of the door. I guess this is a common practice to save time. A bit disappointed since the vapor barrier doesn't take that long to peel off or place back on, plus it protects from condensation on the door. These guys added to the misery of the whole situation. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received today. My car was leaking water on the inside, the team at JN Phillips, did a water test and determined it was a leak in the windshield. They removed it, re-sealed it, and cleaned out the excess water damage on the inside. I was in and out in less than an hour! Too funny. After being forced to listen to all the ads about being the "Professors of auto glass" I had to have mine done. They're in bed with the insurance companies so you don't get a choice. One of their "professors" (LMAO) came out to do the job. On the ride home I heard this loud sucking sound. Turns out the "professor" left a huge gap along the side -thank God it wasn't raining. I called to let them know. No apology, no acknowledgement that they screwed up -nothing. Horrible work, horrible service.
