My windshield cracked when a rock hit it. I made an appointment with JN Phillips in Marlborough. Upon arrival I met with a woman at the front desk who greeted me and was so friendly and helpful. They took my car and replaced the windshield in the time-frame they gave me. After completing the job, the tech came out and spoke to me about what not to do (no car washing for a few days) and asked if I had questions - he was so nice and helpful as well. 5/14/07 4:10 p.m. So, some idiot hit my side view mirror and shattered the glass last night. I called around to find a place that could replace it today, and JN Phillips told me they'd place an order with their distributor, and it would be no problem. Great! They are right by my office. They suggested I stop in around lunchtime to see if it came in, and I did. But it hadn't showed up yet. They called the distributor, who said it would be on the 1:00 truck, meaning it would arrive sometime in the early afternoon. So they call me at 3:40 to tell me that it never showed up and they can't get it until tomorrow. Only problem is I have to leave for NJ in the morning, and I won't have a driver's side mirror. Oops. Now none of the other glass companies can order a mirror, and all the ones with glass cutters can't handle a cutting job this late in the day. Thanks JN Phillips! Way to go! read more

I would stay away from this location and the company as a whole if you are looking for great service and a company which cares about their customers. I went to them for a glass replacement after a car theft. They only replaced my driver's side window without cleaning all the loose pieces being trapped inside the door and it all the loose pieces danced with jingling sound when I opened or closed the door . I took it back and complained about it and the store manager conveniently told me it was not part of their job and refused to do anything. I wrote couple of letters to their Wakefield, MA corporate office later and never received a phone call or email from them. Rock hit my windshield and left two nickel-sized dents. JN Phillips came to my office parking lot and repaired it in about 15 minutes. The results were pretty good; similar to what I see on Youtube. The repairman (Mr. R Thomas) was also friendly. read more

If you can avoid using J.N. Phillips then do it. First a little background, someone smashed my rear passenger window. Called my insurance company a day later and they said sure no problem J.N. Phillips will have the glass tomorrow. When I brought it down I asked if they wanted me to stick around for a little bit to help in case they had any questions. The guy smiled and said he'd down a few before and he'd be fine. YEAH. He must've been speaking more litterally than I thought when he said he'd done "a few." These retards fucked up my window. I was told by them not to roll up up or down for a few days and when I told my mechanic that he laughed and said that's not right. I took their advice anyway and didn't touch it. Two days later, I'm driving along and (still have not touched it) my window rolls down by its self. The one they worked on by no coincidence. Now none of my windows will roll up or down and that one is stuck down unless I use the outside locking feature to roll it up. I have already inspected my fuses and switches, its not that. On top of that, my door panel is torn apart, they put a chip in my chrome molding that sits atop the door panel, they broke my key in half, and my car had to be jump-started because they killed my battery ALL IN THE ONE HOUR THEY HAD MY CAR. I warn you all, these people are idiots, and can't work on BMWs. If you love your car then these people are not to be trusted. read more

STAY AWAY. USE GIANT GLASS OR SOMEONE ELSE. Replaced my windshield, though the new glass obviously didn't fit properly. I mentioned it, but they said it was probably find and too late in the day to do anything about it. It then proceeded to rain and leak in my car, not to mention the horrible road noise. The roof liner of my car was also ripped. I was told I would be reimbursed for parking in a garage until they were able to repair the glass since it was forecasted to rain more. Unsurprisingly I was never reimbursed as promised. Really horrible experience. read more

The 7th time was a charm. It took me finding the owner's contact info online and talking to him directly. He then had his lead tech come out and replace the windshield again along with the rain sensor and everything works. I am happy with the outcome but 7 times is a bit much when you consider time lost to phone calls and waiting on techs. read more

The repair was done quickly but the wiper arm was not reattached properly I had to fix it. Now a year later the window now squeaks when I drive over some bumps. If the window starts to let water in the cabin I will not be happy. read more

I had called jn phillips to fix a broken window on my car. They came out the first time and told me a part was broken, and he could not fix it that day that someone would call me to set up another appointment. Three days later no call so I called them and set up a appointment 4 days later. The guy who came to my work to fix it was very rude, after he was done trying to fix it he said " if your window ever breaks again, please don't call us " He left and I went to look in my car I had parts and screws that were not put back onto my door panel. The interior door was hanging off and the leather was all un ravelled.I called and complained to the manager and told him what an aweful job he did, so they sent someone out to take pictures, that was 3 weeks ago haven't heard from anyone... PLEASE do yourself a big favor call someone else. read more

One of the worst vendors I have used in my 30 years in business. Had an appointment for 2 windshields to be replaced. They showed up with one and thought the order was just a duplicate. To make matters worse they said it would take a week to do the second one. I send the tech away. The store manager could not commit to rectifying the their error immediately.
