The guys took the G in quickly, were very careful with the vehicle, removed the wheel, installed a free patch/plug, reinstalled the wheel using correct torque and pressure specs, and recalibrated and balanced the wheel. Town fair tire parked my car and other people's cars into HANDICAP SPOTS WITHOUT A HANDICAP PLACARD OR PLATE. This hinders disabled folks from being able to enter and exit their vehicles safely when using your establishment and you should be ashamed of yourselves. I spoke with someone at the front who says he "keeps telling 'the guys' to stop parking like that" insinuating that this is an ongoing problem. Setting ethics aside, if you get caught parking in a handicap space illegally, you are FINED!!! So you may end up paying more money because of their negligence. Additionally, the fact that you sell tires but you don't sell lug nuts is incredibly frustrating. It's like selling a laptop without a mouse or without a screen. Stay far far far away from this establishment. Town fair tire in Shrewsbury and the Tire Store through BJs never gave me such a problem. read more

First time I came here to buy new tires. They broke all four of my Lugnuts off and didn't tell me. I didn't find out until I brought my car to my uncle's shop to have some work done. After requesting a simple tire swap, I was finally notified that my vehicle was ready for pickup after 4 hours. Upon arrival, I watched in disbelief as the mechanic jumped into my car, immediately threw it into drive, and slammed on the gas to get it back onto the lift. It turned out they had installed the wrong tires and even scratched the rim in the process. Terrible, scheduled an appointment for my wife for a 10 am to 2 pm service ....we waited for a status update for hours, then they called at 5:30 pm and left a voice mail message to tell me "the car was ready".....it was too late to pick up the vehicle so my wife had to Uber the next morning..... when she got there, she found out they didn't do anything because they snapped a bolt off the wheel, they couldn't have called the day before to tell us?.....my wife had a trip planned and had to find alternative transportation ....their customer service sucks and they are run by mainly 18 year old kids.....don't let them near your car, they will damage it and blame you. I can't believe they didn't have the decency to let us know the day before that they would not work on the car becouse of the broken bolt that they blamed on someone else. The car was a 2019 vehicle that has been well maintained it was not an old piece of shit. Don't go you will regret it. read more

I was ready to be disappointed here but it was exactly the opposite. TFT was the only place that had the tires I wanted in stock and could install them within a week. I ordered the tires and setup the appointment for 10:30am on a Wednesday. I called the night before just to confirm that the tires arrived and to get an estimate of how long the install/alignment would take. I was quoted 2-2.5hrs which is entirely reasonable but I cleared my schedule and basically expected to be there all day. I got there a bit early, paid, gave them my key and plopped down in the waiting area. My car was in a bay within 15min. I used the free WiFi to stay on top of emails for work while I was there and took a conference call on my phone. I was making lunch plans at 12:30 when I saw someone pull my car out. I received a text within a minute telling me my car was ready. They gave me the alignment paper with the before and after measurements and I was on my way. I'm pretty impressed that they installed 4 new tires and did a full alignment in 2 hours. read more

Problem: 1 rear tire is damaged Service plan: remove damaged tire, replace both rear tires Result: -Tire pressure light blinking then stays on after service (then they got it to turn off) -Tire pressure light comes back on the next morning when I turn my car on. Now one of my front tires (which had no issues before service) has a leak. -The car shakes when driving over a certain speed on the highway -I had to bring it back for them to address the issues. -They reported that the front tire had a pin hole, and they patched it up. They then rebalanced the wheels. (Again, 3/4 of my tires were holding air just fine until I brought my car in) When I brought my car in I had 1 damaged tire. I know the others were fine because I had been monitoring PSI diligently leading up to the appointment. When I left, somehow another one had damage. It took two visits to make my car drivable again and now I also need to immediately replace my front tires. The people who were working there were kind, and maintained a professional demeanor. However, I would not recommend that you bring your car there for service. I had thought that maybe my balancing issue was because I only replaced the back tires. However, while in the waiting area a man came in who had just gotten 4 new tires from them and his balancing was off too. Again, the staff is friendly, but the work leaves something to be desired. read more

Never a good time here. Every time I go here, they make mistakes. They left my headlamps on the entire time they worked on my car draining the battery and yet they claimed they had no jump starter. They've damaged wheel covers on two separate occasions. Torqued my wheels so tightly that they warped brake rotors. Even after I told them what the torque rating was they'd insist on using mal-adjusted torque sticks. They've mounted uni-directional tires the wrong way (all four). They constantly second guess what I wanted and "told me" what I wanted. Each time I've been there they'd have their trucks parked in the handicapped zones. On the most recent visit, they mounted the completely wrong wheels that I purchased and that the last tech left for the day and I needed to come back the next day or accept a minor refund for my trouble. "The best prices" isn't worth it if I constantly need to go back for a faulty tire stem or their need to correct a bead leak because they didn't take the time to double-check their work to make sure "that one leak" was the only one. I'm now willing to spend an extra $200.00 to purchase tires from a well-known online tire store just because I no longer want to deal with Town Fair. read more

Matt informed me about what they would do including checking to see if my flat tire could be repaired. my tire was repaired, spare removed and replaced and I was on my way in 45 minutes. I always get my tires here but over the years, service like flat tire repairs have been difficult. My car had a flat and I thought I communicated correctly the exact tire to be fixed. They fixed the wrong tire. Not sure that's possible unless you did not check the pressure on all the tires. Anyways I am at TFT Marlborough the third time to try to fix the same tire. With the shortage of workers which they warn the customers as noted in the front desk, this location is not providing the best reliable tire service any longer. read more

I made an apt to get new tires put on my car and an alignment for 12pm. I didn't receive a call until 4:30pm that my car was ready, after saying it would only take 2.5 hours. When they called to let me know my car was ready they informed me that they shattered the wheel lock off my wheel and instead of offering to replace it they said they just put a lug nut on, no apology and no compensation. when I arrived to pick up my car I saw the wheel they were having an issue with, my rim was gouged and scratched. when I confronted them they said that happens all the time when they take the lug nuts off, but wouldn't own up that it was them. Wow. Wanted to get new snow tires and went with this company since they tout their free tire changeover. My first experience was calling Marlborough store directly and waiting on hold for 30 minutes, finally talking with someone who said "oh you want a new tires I'll switch you to sales". Another 30 minutes and no one. I then just purchased online and made a 10:30 appointment for 2 days later. My wife kindly went in at 10:15 as it was near my kid's school where she had a 1pm board meeting. She told the manager she needed to be out of there by 12/12:30 and if it didn't work she'd come back another day. They assured her she'd be out after checking with the service guys out back. At 12:17 she texted me "still here I need to get to my board meeting by 1" . At 12:40 she texted "I just found out they just got the car on the bay". What!!! 2 hours just to get the car on the bay! Then she texted "some people have been here 3 hours. I'm not coming back here The staff do not get along. One of them just threw a stapler and almost hit another employee . Everyone Customers and employees are pissed off". She finally got out of there at 1:30 late for a board meeting she was leading. This is our first experience with Town Fair Tire so hopefully it is just this Marlborough franchise and not the culture of all the stores. Made an appointment to get the tires changed on my truck. Came back at the agreed upon time, and the kid working at the desk said he couldn't find my appointment on the computer. I assured him I had an appointment that I'd scheduled the afternoon before, and had driven 20 minutes to. He asked me who I spoke to. I told him that's not my job to remember the name of the tire person I spoke to yesterday. He responds with a chuckle, and "you don't remember yesterday?" I had to wait 4 hours. At the 2.5 hour mark I decided to go back to the shop to see if they ware done with my suv. The car had been ready for an hour no one called me..I was stranded in marlborough for all that time...no one pick me up.. 1st time that the people at town fair tire do this to me. I booked my appointment two weeks in advance through the company site and dropped off my car at 10 am. 4.5 hours later I called to check the progress, as I had not received a call from the shop. I was told by Collin that they overbooked for the day and just started my tire change with alignment at 3pm. I arrived to pick up my car at 5;50 pm , which was sitting in the lot. I looked at the receipt to confirm charges. I was OVERCHARGED for an alignment that they never completed. They wrote a note on my bill: 1 giving only 90 days to complete the alignment 2. Charging for the alignment that was never completed 3. Adding a note on my bill that the mechanic had to leave-no call was made informing of this update. Made an appointment for 5pm with two flat front tires, was greeted by Paul who I spoke to on the phone, went in thinking I needed to buy 2 new tires and they assured me I didn't have to replace them just yet, they balanced, recalibrated, and made sure my tires were right! They even noticed my back tires were low, given that they were brand new tires I never thought to notice anything of it, George alerted me what was going on and even showed me the issue after they weren't done right before by a different company. I bought snow tires from Town Fair Tire Marlborough. EVERY time I have gone in for a change it is two appts. EVERY time, I have left with the tire pressure light on. EVERY time they tell me I need to drive for a while and it will turn off. It NEVER did. The last time, I told them before I left that the tire pressure light was on, they told me to drive it, it did not go off, I went back a second time and they 'reset' something and told me to drive again. The light NEVER went off. It took a THIRD visit to get it fixed. To make matters worse, they claimed that they had no appts so I would need to come as a walk in and wait. Never again. The 'free changeover' is NOT worth it when you need to go THREE times! They are a tire place. Why can they NEVER get it right? read more

What is it about the tire service experience that cranks everyone's temper to a 9?! I've been here a couple of times over the past few years. It is always the same deal, overworked tire techs doing the best they can with impatient customers on the verge of melting down (customers and employees). They could make the experience better by making customers take numbers, and not having to stand in line and in the doorway. The waiting area would be improved if it was adjacent to the counter so you can keep tabs on what's going, etc. Don't get me wrong I think the employees do a good job, and pricing seems on par, I really don't think they're out to rip us off. I've been going to these guys since they opened (at least 5 years) and the past manager was a little rough with his customer service skills but I've always had FREE rotations and yearly alignment done w these guys and if they were busy they'd tell me upfront and I'd plan accordingly. As a long-time loyal customer of this particular store, I can't believe the disrespect and attitude I received today. I recently purchased 4 new top shelf tires with a factory recommended 4 wheel alignment and the road hazard guarantee. A top dollar purchase. However, on the day of the service the alignment machine was down. Having already paid, I was told I could return on another day to get the alignment done. Fast forward to today. I have a screw embedded in one of those tires, and bring it to the shop. I am treated rudely off the bat, as if my presence at the strangely empty shop was an annoyance. I get told that because I don't have an appointment it will take 3 hours. I'm fine with that. I ask if I can add another service. "I can't hear you, speak up." I ask more loudly if I can also get a tire rotation and the 4 wheel alignment I paid for when I bought the tires from this exact store. "You have to pay for an alignment each time you come in." Right, but I already paid for it. The machine was down. "You have to pay for an alignment each time you come in." (Hmm. He told me to speak louder earlier, maybe he's just not hearing me.) " No, the machine was down. I was told that I could bring it back to have it done at another time. "You have to pay for an alignment each time you come in." So you're saying even though I paid for a service I didn't receive and was told to come back, that I need to pay for it again? "Why are you shouting, sir?" (Because you said you couldn't hear me.) "Because of your attitude, sir, I'm not doing the tire repair. Leave the store." I have given this company and this location a lot of my money. A loyal customer for over a decade. I even overlooked one time that a lugnut was missing after they repaired my tire. As somebody who makes a living with my car, I need a service provider that is friendly, approachable, reliable, and doesn't defraud its customers. Sorry, Marlborough, you ain't it anymore. Suggest you go elsewhere. Had them swap my winter tires on (Michelin X Ice). Balance was no good. Shook on highway above 50. Went back next day. Waited another hour. To their credit, they got me back in fairly quickly even though they were busy. Redid the balance. Better, but still shook below 70. These are the same tires I bought there and used last winter with no problem, so the tires and car are the same. And my regular tires didnt do that either before they were swapped off. Not wasting anymore time there and will go elsewhere to have rebalance done again. read more

Today was the second time they broke the key for my wheel locks, even after I asked them to be careful since they broke the lock before. This means another trip to BMW to have them remove the old locks and install new ones. Even though TFT picks up the tab each time for the BMW parts and labor, it is a major inconvenience and I am thinking of going elsewhere for rotations even though I have lifetime rotations at TFT. The manager was apologetic and said that the job was given to a new guy, but why would that have happened if the manager was present when I told them to be careful not to break the key? Doesn't make any sense to me. read more

I should note that my experiences with Town Fair Tire over the years has been most always good, if not better, my experience in Marlborough was nothing close. I set up an appointment online 3 days before I would be heading in to get new tires. Upon my arrival, 20 minutes before my 2 p.m. appointment, I was immediately notified that the wait would be over 3 hours. This can only because of horrible time management in their behalf. Forty five minutes after the store was closed, I waited inside for my vehicle, the last vehicle, to be completed. It was done shortly before 5 p.m. Having been a customer to several locations I found that the duration of time it took for the task to be completed was very quick. I was notified that my car was completed and given the keys to my vehicle. I had to request to see the printout from the 4-wheel alignment I purchased, they failed to provide one. I was told that the printer was now out of ink and I could return on Monday if I still required one. I was being rushed out so that they may close for the evening. Less than 20 miles and less than two hours later as I left a local store I returned to my car and found that one of my newly purchased and installed tires was now flat. All customer service locations were closed so no complaint could be made. I had to replace the tire with a spare and will need to return this coming week to have this all sorted out. This is the worst example of a shop I've ever seen . The service writers are a joke and are very manipulative. They also give of that sleazy dishonest vibe . Their service was not up to my standards . All I wanted was some tires swapped out and balanced and they couldn't even do that right . After leaving the shop (it was end of day) my cars tires were all out of balance like they didn't even try to balance them on the machine . I went to a dealer the next day and had them balanced and now they are perfect . I will never be going here again . It's to bad cause it's close to my house . Stay away from this place these reviews are all real . I read all the bad reviews and thought wow that's too bad but hey they couldn't screw up just a mount and balance . I was wrong lol.
