No problem...if that fixes things. But it didn't. 3 days later...a broken down car on the side of the road, with my kids and grandson needing to be taken home in the second row of a tow truck (fortunately in town, and not on some lone highway). Unacceptable, but exactly what happened. Had it towed to them. $300 more of fixes (with more upselling along the way) got it out of their care. Will it last?...we'll see. But of course, I'm guessing...no. If they couldn't see and fix an issue while our car was in their care, are they competent enough to trust them with yours? You decide. But we'll never go back.

They are always willing to take a look at my car, scheduled appointment or not! Andy will diagnose problems and let you decide what to do, but often will tell you what he would do if it were his car, which I so appreciate. I had a mechanical issue and he checked the engine light and then CALLED VW to figure out whether or not it was covered under warranty - something I didn't ask him to do - found out the problem was covered, and then SENT ME to the VW dealership so that I could get it fixed for FREE. Incredibly honest people. You will not be disappointed! The only (very small) warning is that their number on the website is not amazing. Andy's cell number is more reliable and you can find it on the website if you do a bit more digging, and it's also on the card they'll give you at the shop!

I honestly had high hopes for this place. I'd seen their work on Instagram, and some friends…read morerecommended them, so I thought I'd be in good hands. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a mechanic. PROS 1. Affordable prices: Definitely cheaper than a dealership. 2. Strong social media presence: They post videos of their work, which some people might like for transparency. 3. They seem knowledgeable: Based on their work online, they clearly know what they're doing. CONS 1. Terrible communication: I dropped my car off at 11 AM and didn't hear anything until I texted them at 5 PM. No updates, no calls, nothing. 2. Disrespect for your time: If I'd known they wouldn't even start on my car until the evening, I wouldn't have wasted my entire day without it. I live far away and had to arrange rides back and forth. 3. No clear process: After the inspection, I didn't get a proper report, just an Instagram DM listing what was wrong with my car. There was no real explanation or discussion. 4. Unprofessional behavior: When I finally went to pick up my car, the mechanic wasn't even there. I had to wait another hour, and a kid ended up handing me my keys. 5. Ended up costing more: I had to take my car to another mechanic because I couldn't trust them to handle it, so I wasted even more money. I feel so disappointed, not just because of the wasted time, but because I went in really wanting this to work out. There's nothing worse than feeling like your time and money don't matter to someone who's supposed to be providing a service. I read the reviews and noticed this has happened to others too, so it seems like a pattern. The mechanic knows what he's doing, and it's obvious he cares about building his image and growing his business. But they need to work on respecting people's time and communicating better. I personally won't be coming back, but I truly hope they improve, because they have the potential to be so much better.
