Jmart is one of the many Asian grocery stores near Main St - Flushing subway station. There are two entrances to enter Jmart from Roosevelt Avenue or Main Street. During the pandemic, Jmart enforced COVID-19 rules such as wearing masks and checking temperatures before entering the grocery store. You can buy fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, seafood, frozen fish balls, snacks, beverages, and the list goes on. Check out their promotional sale items from Fridays to Sundays! FYI, there are multiple registers throughout the grocery store!

Anything Asian you want or need is here. Fresh, still alive, seafood, meats, pastries, you name it. I bought durian mochi, chili oil and lychees. The important stuff. You'll always know a legit market by the real food smell. It's appealing to me, but could be a put off at other shops. Here it's just the right amount of real. The store is easy to get around, clean, and organized. Staff is helpful and the lines to check out went quickly. This area of Queens is fun! I plan to come back very, very soon!

The largest Asian supermarket in the largest Asian community in the USA, J Mart offers two large floors in the New World Mall full of fresh produce, dry goods, meat and fish, at mostly reasonable prices. It sits in the middle of Flushing, Queens, on Main Street right across from the elevated subway station. We were there to prepare for Spring Festival by purchasing specialty items not available in our local stores. Roast black chicken, pig and chicken feet, pork belly, persimmons, hot pot fish balls, thin sliced beef and sunflower seeds. We also found the special treats (cookies and candy) given to visiting family and friends over the long holiday. We parked beneath the mall, always a challenge, but we were early enough to find a spot near the elevators, two levels below the first floor market entrance, and right under the famous New World Food Court and restrooms. Experience taught us to have the parking ticket stamped by the cashier to receive two hours of free parking. That was more than enough time to allow us to shop and walk across the street to a local bakery for coffee and tasty pastries, and then to a small apothecary to secure a supply of sea cucumber. We were finished with our provisioning and back on the road by 11:00 a.m. to navigate our way back through Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and New Jersey to the beauty and quietude of our Bucks County home.

So, this is based on the ppl that I encountered at JMart. Let me begin by saying that I mostly only place positive reviews because I feel that if a place sucks they kinda know it and don't care. However, some places just need it. So, the ppl that work there and shop there are probably the rudest I have encountered in all of NYC! No one says "excuse me". Everyone just cuts you off. So, this isn't the place to come if you're looking for a positive shopping experience. They are downright rude. I even had a worker use the F word when I accidentally knocked a plastic cart over when I pulled one out. So, just prepare yourself. If you've ever walked through Flushing or Chinatown NYC you know what to expect. It's mostly older ppl that are rude. But, they are all rude LOL!!!!! With that being said, u can get a lot of things u can't find anywhere else; crazy chip flavors and candy. All types of Asian foods, meats, etc. I found the veg and fruits priced the same as any other store, though. Be warned the seafood section is revolting & just plain sad: WARNING ON THE PICS. AVOID THEM IF UR SQUEAMISH!!!!!!

It's been located inside A shopping mall. Huge, and everything is affordable prices. 2tofus are $2.50. This is more than half prices. you'll need probably at least 1hr to spend time shopping there.

Mar 22 - Have been searching for these far and wide!!!! J Mart had these + a whole aisle of interesting chip flavors.

This Asian grocery is located right off the 7 train, clean/organized isles, massive selection, and most importantly, a wide selection of interesting potato chips!!! I've been searching for my cucumber flavored potato chips (yes cucumber) since my first visit to mainland China 6+ yrs ago. The potato chip game is on point in China with an array of interesting flavors ranging from veggie and herb flavors like cucumber and basil to legit meat such as squid and lamb with cumin. I've searched in every asian supermarket I enter since (mostly in Hong Kong and Florida) and not until J mart have I been reunited with my delectible cucumber flavored Lays potato chips. J Mart's chip aisle does not disappoint, with dozens of interesting flavors. Sadly, I did not purchase nearly enough cucumber chips and will need to head back ASAP, maybe with luggage this time!

    Bought a watermelon, WHATS THIS?!

What the xxx is this water melon?! Comparing to other local fruit stands, it's more expensive and most importantly it's not edible.

You a** 9.99 for frozen re thawed sea bass. Thanks for poisoning me and my family. Never ever going here. Disgusting.

On the list of Amex "shop small", so I wanted to shop here and get some points. Got to cashier, and they only accepted mastercard and visa.

I won't get my onions, bell peppers, or cucumbers anywhere else, and their satsuma mandarins are also a great find. The meat selection is excellent as well and very fresh. The hot food bar is always worth a stop. Their plov (beef or lamb) is a great deal at $9.99/lb, and the meat is unbelievably tender and flavorful. It often runs out later in the day. The samsa are massive, flaky, and come stuffed with pumpkin, beef, lamb, or chicken. The manti and bilyash are also fantastic. You really can't go wrong with any of the prepared foods.
