Asked what I need and how was feeling after the incident, meanwhile he called the manager! When the manager came to ask if I need ambulance to the hospital, I refused and talked him about what happened, he didn't say anything about my health situation after the incident, said I was very careless about the steps and the walking issues, nothing about comfort words,that is the manager, a Chinese manager,too bad service and too bad environment with terrible customer service! DC Market (德昌DeChang in Chinese) is one of many places to shop, and they specialize in meat and takeout meals. This location is similar in size to their Chinatown location, though Flushing has more of a rectangular layout in contrast to the long narrow layout in Ctown. Their butcher counter is pretty much unparalleled compared to other Asian supermarkets with the exception of maybe large format Hmarts. DC carries a wide breadth of edible animal products both au naturel and marinated, including more familiar meats such as pork chops, short rib, flank steak, sea bass, running the gamut to less commonly appreciated though edible parts like frog legs, pork lung and hocks, beef tongue, whelk. Marinated specialties like tangerine peel minced beef and pork ribs in pickled plum sauce caught my attention, among many others. The second largest section is the ready-to-eat food section, with items pre-portioned in takeout containers, priced by the container. This area is composed of several counters with a wide selection of steamed, deep-fried, baked, sautéed and stewed dishes, all categories covered--vegetables, meats, carbs, savory and sweet--food items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall food quality is not quite on par with good restaurants as some other reviews mention, though not too bad if you're looking for a quick simple meal. With a family member in Flushing, Queens, during our travels, we were seeking char siu 叉燒 caa1 siu1 flavored in the standard staple soy sauce and hoisin sauce prepared food for dinner. I did not know that DC Flushing Market 德昌肉食公司 (aka Deluxe Meat market) also have a small satellite location in Flushing, Queens as I have always patronized the one in Chinatown Downtown Manhattan. This is the same as the Deluxe Meat market in Chinatown, Manhattan. When you enter, there are two different aisles, the one to the left leads to a back hallway which leads into the hot food section. That's where you can get your barbecue meats and various dishes. The one to the right goes towards the butcher side. Weirdly divided in that sense because you can't get between the two without coming back around to the cashier area. The prices here are somewhat better than in Chinatown Manhattan. However selection is a little bit different, it's definitely newer but smells basically the same. Cleaner floor though. read more

Today's weather was sunny in the high 50s! DC Flushing Market is located on the same block as Starbucks and across from Teso Life. On the left side, you can buy fresh vegetables, seafood, etc. On the right side, you can buy fresh meat/poultry, frozen dumplings, steamed buns, Hot Pot (火锅) items such as fish balls, beef balls, meat slices, etc. Towards the back, you can grab hot food take-out containers since they are already packaged, weighed, and labeled with prices. Also, you can buy roasted poultry hung on the display. There was no social distancing while everyone was pretty much on top of each other. I felt uncomfortable but I couldn't do anything about it. Note: Pay attention because the line forms in both directions and people are going to cut in front of you! I stood in line for my mom when she grabbed the Fried Pork Chop with Spicy Salt container. When it was finally our turn, my mom pointed out that she didn't want the half Roast Duck hung on the display because of the feathers...Ewww! I used to frequent DC Market in Manhattan Chinatown (#1) but I'm very pleased to see they've branched out to Flushing. Though It's not much bigger than it's city counterpart, it is extremely well stocked and as expected, offers a stellar selection of meats as well as a variety of cuts and a number of other things. Whether its pork jowl or flank steak, they do a good job of showcasing the variety while charging very affordable prices. I like getting my pork belly, beef ribs, oxtail, and the occasional lamb chop from here. They always have a massive amount of ground beef / pork here, which is perfect to buy in bulk. There is not much by the way of wild meats but they've done a good job labeling everything and laying out all the cuts. It's not exclusively a butcher shop, it is still very much a supermarket with some produce, a refrigerated section, roasted bbq meats, and a hot food counter. The latter includes a variety of foods ranging from stewed meats to noodles and dumplings. Not terribly impressive compared to restaurant quality meals, but good for those who are in a pinch or a cheap lunch. While I believe they accept credit cards, cash is and always will be king. The majority of the staff speaks Canto here, which is a rarity in Flushing. DC Flushing Market is one of my favorite Chinese supermarkets in the neighborhood especially for its prepared food. We were so excited that they reopened even with limit products and no prepared food. Their procedure against COVID-19 was good and we felt safe during shopping there. Before you enter the stores, the staff will help sanitizing shoes and hands. They also built up plastic protectors by the check out counters. We were there on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all, everyone kept social distancing. The variety of products was not the best but with plenty of supply. For someone of you who are familiar with the Manhattan Chinatown this is the same shop located between Mott St and Elizabeth St via tunnel just north of Hester. They is why many of the workers speak Cantonese instead of Manderin. The Manhattan shop is always crowded like hell with a great meat market and hot food counter. This Flushing store is not as big as some of the large Asian Supermarkets like GW, Great Wall or HK but it serve all the necessaries most family need. I was looking for a good butcher quality store and found DC. It is now my go to store to get meats. The store is relatively small, comparing to other grocery stores in Flushing but everything here is about quality. If you are throwing out a home hotpot party, come here to get the thinly sliced beef and lamb. They are much better than what you get from other grocery stores. Apart from the grocery, there is also a deli section that sells traditional cantonese BBQ meats and bento style dishes. I've had Pipa duck, soy sauce chicken, char siu and ginger and scallion chicken. They are all pretty decent and my favorite is the pipa duck which is so crispy and juicy. There are also store make snacks at the check out counters, I always get a box of fried peanuts, only 3 bucks and so crispy and fragrant. I just simply cannot understand why people complained about customer service. I speak mandarin and never did I feel like I was unwelcomed. The uncles and aunties behind the counters are really helpful. They'd give you cooking recommendations too. This might not be where you do your one stop shop for an entire month grocery but if you are used to the daily market feeling, this is a fantastic place to visit and shop. read more

This is a little Chinese butcher shop/supermarket which has deli department. This place is surprisingly clean & organized. They do offer affordable Chinese food takeouts. The past several years, my wife and mother been food shopping at this particular market. I've always enjoyed the meats and frozen dumplings they've brought home from this market. The English name doesn't quite translate into their Chinese name accurately. In Covid times, I've never came to this market until now. My both my parents are over the age of 60 with pre-existing conditions. So to play it safe, they stay home and I try to food shop for them. As for my wife, she cares for our newborn son so we wanna keep both of them home and away from the public for the mean time. What brought me to the market for the first time was their online ordering. My wife and her friends found out that they are taking orders online and doing curbside pickup. We placed a large order, when I arrived, I called and the butcher came out to confirm our order and brought it out. Parking in Flushing has never been this easy. I can literally pull up anywhere I want. It's just that empty. There were still a lot of people walking the streets, but as far as car traffic goes, it was dead on a 1pm Thursday afternoon. my favorite butcher shop! and it's not just a butcher shop, you can also get fresh produce, prepared dishes, seafood, and some pantry items. yes, it's convenient to pick up meats anywhere else that you'd get produce and groceries, but a lot of the times, i found that the quality is meh. the sliced meats for hot pot that i'd pick up from the supermarket are too fatty and sometimes has a funky smell when cooked. this is not the case at DC Flushing Market, the sliced meats are of good quality. the pork belly slices has the right amount of fat to meat. when it's cooked, it's sooooo tender and doesn't have that funky smell. i'm also a big fan of their sliced beef as well, the regular fatty beef or the more premium sliced beef short ribs. i always keep a few packs of their sliced meats in the freezer in case a random hot pot craving hits. aside from different cuts of meat, they also offer pre-marinaded meats and soup kits that you just cook and serve, very convenient IMO. there's also different kinds of frozen dumplings and buns in the freezer case. a 50-count bag of dumplings start at $10 and it's soooo much better than the mass-produced frozen dumplings that you'd find at Asian supermarkets. the meat and veggies in them just taste better, fresher. don't even get me started on the soup dumplings and shrimp wontons, both are so clutch when you want these things but don't feel like going out to get them. i find the overall quality of produce and meats are pretty high quality. a bit pricier than other Asian supermarkets, but well worth it IMO. it does get crowded a lot of times, so i try to go when it just opened or when it's about to close. read more

I've seen them with attitude when customer asked "what is this(dish)?" or "I want this plate instead" they get annoyed. I come here once a mo or 2 to get their cooked dishes which are affordable but come early since theres not much of a selection after 3:30/4pm sometimes. I haven't bought any of their raw meats yet but it's certainly busy.. Their produce is much cheaper than what I'd find at my local supermarket. I'm also loving their turnip cake. It's so easy to cook it at home and it tastes the same as what you'd get at dim sum. This past weekend I bought a large beef stew with turnips during lunch and it was pricier than what I'm used to paying at $7.99/lb. It did look good and it had a good amount of meat so I bought it anyway. Before I left Flushing, I came back to check their selection and I noticed they still had a few boxes of beef stew priced at $6 ish? I felt a lil better knowing that I didn't overpay since it was mostly turnips with sauce. It was really good not as tender as I would've liked but tasted a lot better than the one I tried at a Chinese restaurant in Elmhurst... I bought some pigs feet and the lady did give me a box of rice even though it was around 6pm. I've never had an issue pointing out the exact box I want and have never received any attitude. The place is literally packed with people all day and night long. I would have an attitude if I had to deal with all these people but honestly most of the ladies are pretty nice. The only issue is of course getting the attention of one of them with all the customers! That's the only challenge. Sometimes you're looking at the last box of a beautiful soy sauce chicken at the end of the day and someone else beats you to it and you're only left with dried up looking chicken... sad face. I really like the organization of this store and the fact that their veggies are already packed and labeled with a price. I hate going up to the register at other markets and spending like $6 bucks on choy when all you need is $4 or less. Thats why I like this market. I know how much I am paying for and a lot of it is quite inexpensive. Not a large market but they pack it quite neatly and it feels very bright and clean. Always a quick shop when I am in here since I never really wait too long for the register cuz its not on main street not as much foot traffic. All the butcher meats are priced very reasonably and they even sell roast meat and other prepared cooked food in the back. Havent tried it yet since I don't understand the signs in chinese but its nice that it is part of the market. This is ok grocery store to buy Chinese cooked meats such as roast duck, chicken, soy sauce duck feet. The grocery store is long and narrow. It has very little space to walk around if it is crowded. The entire roast duck was $19 so it was decent price. The guy who does the chopping is extremely unfriendly and rude. The first time I ordered an entire roast duck, he was about to put the entire duck uncut into a box. It is very rare that someone would want an uncut roast duck. I had to tell him right away that I wanted it cut and that I wanted the duck head or else he would keep the entire duck neck. He was complaining that I should have told him ahead of time how I wanted the duck prepared. The second time I went, I told him right away that I want the duck cut and I want the duck head. He then asked if I wanted the duck cut as if he didn't hear me the first time. He didn't give me the duck head but at least he gave me part of the neck. With Hong Kong style efficiency and intense crowd control, the check out is orderly and quick. Selection is incredible for such a small place and it even has a roast meats section.
