I got my windshield replaced because I was tired of the million tiny pockmarks indented into my old one. I know there's wear and tear, but it still bugs me. He was cool enough to replace it for me in under an hour while also checking the seals around my other windows for free after I mentioned my car floods during intense rainstorms. He and his associate were professional the entire time. I will definitely hire him again when I go to replace my windshield again in a few years.

I had already paid more than half up front and still had to wait several days for the rest of the work to be finished. as a professional you have to make sure you have extra tools in case one goes out , check the weather fluently , & family emergencys should be handled properly I do understand that the price I received was already part of an early summer discount, but because of the multiple delays and the time I lost waiting and rescheduling my own plans, it would have been nice to see a little extra consideration or discount for the inconvenience. Telling me we would talk about the discount when he got to my house & when i asked him how much he basically charged me fully which i thought was kinda ridiculous he definitely had no consideration for that That said, he did finish the job and the tint itself looks really good. We scheduled for a 8-12 appointment, but the tech ended up not showing up or reaching out so we had to reschedule for the following week. Although the first appointment made us apprehensive, the second one went much better. The tech (Joshua), called when he was about 20 minutes out and showed up shortly after. He was incredibly friendly, helpful and informative. The whole replacement took about an hour and he even vacuumed all the remaining glass out of the back of the vehicle. While the insurance paid for the entire repair, the invoice that we received did reflect a price that I felt was reasonable (under $400 for the glass itself and installation).

I ended up fixing the issue myself with touch-up paint for a fraction of their quote. Now I have an unnecessary CARFAX entry that could affect my vehicle's resale value. I find it inappropriate to report declined estimates to CARFAX, as it implies work was actually performed. As a side note, I was also concerned about their privacy practices. While waiting in the lobby, I witnessed an estimator having multiple speakerphone conversations with clients, broadcasting personal details to everyone in the reception area. The clients clearly had no idea their conversations were being shared with other customers. While I've had positive experiences with Rife's Westerville location in the past, I cannot recommend the Grandview location based on these practices.
