I have been going to Eric for Repairs at 2 prior locations and I think highly of him. This time I went on 2/28/25 to fix an iphone X whose screen was "ghosting" due to a prior fiz I had while out of town a few months prior. Eric is reliable and communicative, and will not make a fix unless he lets you know the exact cost up front, and he uses good parts, and out of 2prior fixes in the last 13 years I never had a problem with those phones, and they still operate today I just upgraded models. One was an older android, and one was an iphone 5S! Although my initials are the same as the company, I have no affiliation with them, but I do recommend them, but because when I tried to find them the only listing they had was for the older address and he hasnt been on Chrstie street in 10 years at least. He is located in a pharmacy, and the sign is outside, but his work is fast, and he is courteous and efficient. Once their was a phone he could not fix as it was determined to be a motherboard pronlem and he did not charge me anything. My friends always came here to get their phones fixed back when they were located on Chrystie and highly recommended this store. My samsung was not turning on. It cost 100+ to get my samsung fixed (took 3 days) and it broke again in a month. It would not power on. I went to the store again and the same staff recognized me. He tried to figure out what was wrong and in the end said "he isn't sure now but if I leave my phone there, he will fix it". I asked if this was complimentary as it was the same issue he "fixed" a month ago, and he said no he will be charging me 100ish. 100ish AGAIN, for an issue that is the same (phone not powering on, screen is black, just fixed it a MONTH ago!), no thank you. The other issue was the samsung sim card slot that he "fixed". The staff pulled it out and broke the slot and charged me 20. However, on my samsung phone, you have to press the simcard and it pops out. So he removed it wrong, broke it, then charged me 20. My friends had good experiences with fixing broken screens or something simple, but if you have TECHNICAL issues do not come here! I am sad that I had such a bad experience and I regret spending so much money. I came here two weeks ago to get my Samsung Galaxy S8+ front screen fixed. This place was recommended to me by my relatives so I knew this was the place to go. So I brought in my phone here. He took a look at the phone, wrote down all the details, such as the crack on the front, if it had a case, if the SIM card was there, looked at the back of the phone. He immediately tells me the price (which was $100 cheaper than elsewhere) and that it will be ready the next day same time for pickup. HOWEVER when I came back to pickup the fixed phone 2 days later, the first thing the guy tells me is that the phone I brought in had cracks on the back and that these were already there when I brought it in. I told him that it was impossible that these cracks were there prior to the repair since I only had the phone for less than a month, during which time I had a case on the phone ever since the purchase. Nothing added up. No matter what I said, he only kept insisting the back of the phone was already cracked and he didn't do it. On top of that, he even showed me a video recording of the front and back of the phone he had taken to "prove" that it was already broken when I brought it in. I was so mad at this point because this guy was straight up lying to me with evidence that made no sense. Just because he took a video of the cracked back doesn't mean anything because he could've broke it after I dropped it off to him. Basically, this guy cracked the back of my phone during repair, then decides to video it as "proof" that it was already cracked when I brought it in, and then lies about it saying it was already like that when I dropped it off to him. I got the front screen fixed, but now I have to waste more money and time to get the back fixed at another repair spot. I just want to say that you'll definitely get a good rate here, but this place is not worth the time and money if you have a newer/expensive phone because they can't handle the phones properly during repair. If the guy had straight up been honest about cracking the back of my phone, and maybe offered a $50-100 as an apology, I would've gladly accepted it. This is like the worse repair shop I've ever been to. Not only they were not able to repair my phone but they just kept dragging it and dragging it. They had me wait for 3 days saying they are about to finish but at the end they didn't even know how to fix it. Their customer service also sucks, when you call they will ignore you and keep you in the line forever, without answer and without hanging up. The worst of chinatown. If you have choice do not come here. Their business card says 18 years of experience. I would say nit even 18 months. read more

This place treated me and my iPhone like family. I needed a new screen for my iPhone and Apple was going to charge me 129 + tax. This place charged me $60 flat. Also, I had forgotten that my selfie camera wasn't taking photos very well. But, after checking out my phone, this repair shop noticed & told me that it needed replaced too. They repaired my iPhone camera at no additional charge. It was nice going down to Chinatown today & supporting a local business there! This place really treats their customers well. They are in the process of moving from Chrystie Street to 244 Grand St. The new location is only a block away & they share the space inside a pharmacy. Amazing experience. Backlight was not turning on after I butchered my iPhone attempted self repair during an 11:00 PM drunken repair session. Brought it to another local technician who has experience with this But they were out of my pride range. Please save yourself the trouble and DO NOT go here. You will thank me later. I came in trying to replace my pixel battery and when I picked it up at the store it was at 60%. In less than an hour my phone dropped to 1%. The "new" battery they gave me was even worse then the battery I came into the store with. When I called them, they had the audacity to lie to me saying that they replaced my batter with an authentic pixel battery. When I googled online, I found out there is no pixel battery replacement and it's just done by third party. they quickly realized I caught their lie and asked to bring in the device back in. So I got my Note 2 screen/glass fixed here today for $85 dollars. This place was much more cheaper than all of the places in Chinatown as others were charging more than a hundred. I got my phone back in 2 hours which I thought was long but realized there were other customers in front of me that needed their phones fixed so it was cool. I took away a star because of the lady in the counter.. She seemed MISERABLE working there by the looks of her face and sounded really annoyed and irritated. I can careless about her though. Wanted to repair my broken iphone 7 screen, seemed to be pretty cheap (85$). They said that I can pick it up 30min later. Screen was new, but the home button didn't work anymore. It was jumping from super sensitive to not reacting at all. They said that it was already like that when I left the phone, but it definitely wasn't. Never had any problems with it. I don't know what they did if they exchanged anything or whatever, but they didn't want to repair it. I dropped my Nexus smartphone in water and it looked like it might be bricked. Took it into Eric and his team and within 4 hours they had it fixed and working. I took away 1 star because I felt the price was a bit on the high side given that no parts were replaced, but I'm very happy with the service and the time it took.
