I just hired Jaime from JM electric as he was VERY EDUCATIONAL compared to the 4 other electricians who came to our house to do a complex 200 AMP UPGRADE Panel which is very important as many homes in Hawaii are running 100 AMP boxes which could lead to a fire hazard. In Jaime's case with us, he spent the time on site and many times on the phone, showing us photos of how the work would be done, etc. explaining how the process of installing the electrical lines with HECO and assured us that HECO and C&C would be on the job to insure proper workmanship. Too bad more contractors were not like JM Electric and Jaime who strive to be honest and trustworthy rather than just trying to "scare" and induce fear to justify inflated pricing! Mahalo, Paul E. Quality of work sucks ass. Hired to fix the electrical connection from HECO to my house. Charged $1000, didn't properly seal the conduit pass through in my roof so now have to replace 1/4 of my roof because of water damage causing wood rot. Tried calling x5 about the seal, but he wouldn't answer, return my call, or respond to texts. And found out from a better electrician that he was supposed to change the main breaker when he changed the HECO connection so now have to repair the roof, install a NEW connection to HECO line, AND install a new main breaker. The following is my opinion. I would not recommend this company. He did not return my calls or texts for months after starting the job. I thought the guy had dropped me and he wasn't coming back. I believe it took over 5 months before he finally showed up and completed the initial warranty job. way too stressful and frustrating. read more

I was looking for an electrician in Kapolei and found JM Electric on Yelp and Google. I called them they answered the phone right away. I do not like a business never answer or never call back. I needed to replace 3 ceiling fans and 1 light. I asked soonest availability and estimate, he responded quick. Their price was reasonable. The owner came to work in 2 days that was soon enough for me. He was very friendly, polite and did good job. I have few more lights to replace so I will definitely use this company again. Don't bother. Even if you get in touch with him and schedule a bid or work, he'll just blow it off. He gave me a bid and I accepted it, but after that I never heard back. So I called him to find out what was going on, he said "I'll text when I can come by next week",, then never heard back from him.. Called again, left a message, never heard back.. Texted him,, never heard back. Guy went out of his way to screw me by making me waste weeks that I could have used to hire someone who isn't a flake. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Text him to see if he was running late and no response. It is now 5:10pm and we have not gotten a response back. A total waste of our valuable family time on this beautiful Saturday. Great service and very quick. He came in and analyze, told us what he was going to do, how much it was going to cost and asked if the price was okay before he begun. He replaced out bathroom light switch, because our lights weren't turning on although our light bulbs were working. While he was working on the change I had my sister run to the bank to pull out money because I didn't have enough in my wallet. When he finished my sister still didn't come back, I told him how much I had and was waiting for the rest but he said that what I had at that moment was okay. He's very friendly and lives in Kapolei neighborhood. Getting a hold of him might be a hassle though because he is busy and is a private worker. read more
