I had a previous leak that damaged the floor and kitchen cabinets. Logan and his crew ripped out the floor and cabinets and did a complete renovation of my floor, sink, and countertops. Was expected to take 3-4 days but they knocked it all out in a day and a half!. I'm a 67-year-old woman living on a fixed income. I searched online for someone to help me with some electrical work, and this company came up. I called on June 10, and he came out by June 12. I showed him around and asked how much it would cost to check the lights, plugs, my in-law suite, and garage. He said $600.When he came to do the job, he brought his two sons but only stayed for a short time. He didn't inspect or complete all the areas we had discussed. The power went out in my second floor late last night. I went down to the breaker box and smelled burning plastic. I messaged Hawaii Electrical Source in the morning and Rodney called my back almost immediately. He came right away to assess the problem, and his sons arrived shortly afterwards to complete all the work. The problem was not in the breaker box like I thought, but in one of the electrical boxes in the laundry room. Logan explained everything to me and made suggestions based on safety. We agreed to change out all the breaker switches and reconfigured the electrical boxes. He also found the light in the laundry room had a live wire sticking out! He replaced that, too. I asked about my bedroom ceiling fan, and they were able to get me a new one and install it the same day. That was a lot of work and time that they spent on my home. The estimate (very reasonable, included all the supplies and their time) for the cost was given to me before the work was done, and did not change when it was all completed. It took them a few hours to get everything done, and I am so delighted with their work! They even cleaned everything up before they left. The attention they gave me and my home is very much appreciated. I don't use Yelp too often to search for services but on an early Saturday morning, I put in a request to search for electrical services to put up light fixtures in my recently enclosed patio that was sitting unused with wires hanging out where lights should be. Not expecting a response right away- especially on a Saturday, Rodney (?) txt me right away via Yelp - I was not expecting that! Rodney asked what I needed to be done and he said Logan MAY be available to help me TODAY - WHAAAT??? WOWWIE!! last minute on a Saturday? That took me by surprise! Logan was able to come to my house that morning and he installed my light fixtures. He noticed I didn't have plates around my electrical outlets so he fixed that too and noticed damage on one of the electrical lines and fixed that too! A friend referred me to HES because our AC was not working due to an electrical issue. I reached out to Rodney and he returned my call immediately. He and Logan made the time to come out the same day and take a look at the electrical panel. They even went up into the ceiling to check the junction box. This resulted in a very big project. Rodney and Logan explained everything in detail and took the time to walk me through the process. I really appreciate their kindness, professionalism, and patience because much of this was new to me. Rodney's estimate was fair. In order to access the ceiling, HES needed to cut the drywall. They repaired and painted to match the existing drywall. This detail was something that another company had told me they would NOT do. This project was supposed to take a week and they finished way ahead of time. Rodney and Logan gave me daily updates and made sure everything was clean before they left. I also had the pleasure of working with Stephanie, who handled billing and any additional information I needed. She even communicated with me while on vacation with her family. HES replaced our electrical panel with new panel in a new location, new conduit and wiring, 42 new circuit breakers were replaced and upgraded, replaced existing junction box, and rewired it to be brought up to electrical code. I needed minor electrical work which involves diagnosis a three way switch for my garage lights and mount a small light fixture to outside tile wall. Called Saturday and left message, a lady called me back minutes later, awesome. She needs photos, so I sent photos of wall switch and my outside lights. I was able to set up an appointment with Colton the next day. He called me when he was on his way. He was very knowledgeable in which light fixture was the right one to use as I had bought a few different ones. He also wired my Ring Camera. He tried to help me set it up but I was having problems with my WiFi. He waited for me to contact customer service but It took longer than expected and I had gotten disconnected. He wanted to stay to make sure I had it set but once I heard he had been working for me on his lunch I told him It's ok for him to go. I would have to call back customer service.I jokingly told him good thing he wasn't charging by the hour. His fees were fair and upfront.
