We made an appointment with John (the owner) who came out within a couple of days and was on time. John was very professional and easy to work with. He provided an offer immediately and we told him we wanted to move forward. We provided the deposit and John ordered the LVP. We were leaving on vacation for a week and by the time we got back, it was another week before installation. It was perfect timing as we needed to remove furniture so they could work. We left the larger furniture in each room and the installers move them around as they installed the floor. On installation day, the crew showed up on time and ready to work! They were professional and hard working! They were also courteous and respectful. They did the floating floor over the existing tile and added wood where there was carpet. They explained how the glue would need to dry before we could walk on it, which was very helpful. After the 3rd day, the floors were done and they started on the baseboard and door casings. Jason worked hard to complete all the work, clean up after the install, and the entire project was done in one week. I am so impressed with this crew and Precison's communication with us. I would like to start off this review by saying that Gerald is the absolute best person I have ever…read moreworked with on a project. That's saying a lot because my family moved into a brand new build back in 2017, so we have had many, many people come through for projects. What made my experience with Gerald so great was absolutely everything that matters. He was always on time, always responsive, always a perfectionist, and always pleasant (no matter how early in the morning or late in the evening he was working). I am known by those close to me as an extreme perfectionist. Gerald is the one person who absolutely never let me down with his work (although it could be more accurately described as art). I'm the type of person who if I see one thing that looks off, it will eat at me literally every time I pass through that room. Gerald installed tile and baseboards both inside and outside of my house and after walking through those areas countless times, I still have yet to see anything that doesn't look absolutely perfect. Aside from being an absolute master of his craft, Gerald is incredibly generous with his time. He treats every project as if the house he's working on is the house that his family comes home to everyday. For example, while I was doing a walk through with him after everything was wrapping up, I was ready to sign everything off and thank him for a job well done. Well, during the walk through, Gerald pointed out a couple of things that were bothering him and he vowed to come back the next day to fix them even though I didn't even notice anything was off. So, if I'm an extreme perfectionist, then I guess Gerald is in a class all by himself. Even after making those extremely detail oriented fixes, Gerald came back to patch things up on his own time and also to clean up the mess that some other installers left on their job. Specifically, they chipped a few of the baseboards that he installed and straight up took an entire corner piece off the wall. The look of horror on his face when he saw the damage they did to his perfectly installed baseboards said it all. The man looked like someone absolutely ripped his soul out. It really spoke to how seriously he takes his jobs and how much pride he takes in his work. I really wish this level of pride and passion were more prevalent in all people when it comes to their chosen professions. Overall, I could go on and on with reasons why you should go with this business and not even think twice. I purchased traditional wood flooring from LL Flooring in Lakewood, who in turn recommended Felix Flooring for the installation. I cannot say enough about the service that I received from Felix and his team. From the day that he came in to measure the room and answer my (many many) questions, I knew that I had chosen the right person. In the days leading up the the installation, I had a few questions about what to expect, and Felix got back to me right away. Since LL Flooring was out of the particular style baseboard I needed, I chose to supply those on my own. I texted Felix from Home Depot on a Friday night for a recommendation on product, and he told me not to worry - he would supply the baseboards for me so I didn't have to cut them and attempt to lug them all home. This was NOT in his job description, but he insisted! If you are hesitating even a little about choosing Felix, being able to expect this level of care is one of many reasons you should just go ahead and book. It is unusual to find people who both (a) take immense pride in their craft and (b) are just generally all-around kind and amazing human beings. As for the week of the install, I was once again was blown away by the professionalism of Felix and team. Their work is impeccable, from the floors themselves to the seamless room transitions to the baseboards/moulding. I've worked on many homes in my life, including doing my own floors twice. Felix is a world-class carpenter and his work elevated the look of my home.
