Nice variety of options. Several things I wanted to try. Overall decent basic food. Really enjoyed the onion rings and french fries. Waitress (sorry I didn't catch her name) was very friendly and welcoming. If I was to drive thru Eads again I would stop to eat here again. read more

This little diner was perfect!! Waitress was genuinely friendly. We ordered the daily special a green chili smothered chicken fried steak sandwich. It was amazing. The steak was fork tender and the green chili was yummy. Don't leave here without getting a homemade cinnamon roll!! read more

We Checked yelp, sounded good, called from Lamar asked about 'homemade' yes, we do everything homemade. Nice warm welcome. Hungry so difficult to decide Saturday is Mexican night. But I chose the patty melt husband will share and I'll sample his homemade green chili. The owner talked w us, explaining her homemade entrees and pies ~ my fav, rhubarb. So YES a very good stop in the middle of 'not much' out here Lamar has Asian?? totally worth the 30 mi closer to Castle Rock. An added PLUS!!! It's a clean establishment. read more

We called and the lady said it would take 20 minutes so we got there in 20 minutes and we still waited another 15 minutes. The cook and waitress were not wearing masks! The waitress was somewhat polite though even though They never apologize for being late. The price of course was great! Cheaper than McDonald's. Stopped for lunch because there were very little choices. My grilled chicken sandwich came with a small piece of chicken grilled mostly black. One bite was enough. I ate a cinnamon roll instead. Had to wash the ladies room toilet seat before using it. read more

Get the ham steak; they serve it any time. They were willing to make me a veggie side, even though it wasn't on the menu. Food was delicious. Service was courteous even though we walked in 15 mins before close. Will come back again if I am ever in this part of CO. read more

As soon as I walked into this establishment I felt a sense of discomfort and the feeling of being unwanted. The cashier was rude and wouldn't talk or look directly at me. The food came out maybe 20 minutes later and it was okay. Moral of the story I guess is don't be black and come into their establishment or you'll experience subpar customer service and all around lack of human decency. Maybe it was just the young lady who was working the registrar and if so perhaps you should have a talk with her about how to treat people so it won't reflect your business as a whole. read more

If you're traveling down the highway (96) and you're hungry, this the is the place to stop at. Is this the best place in Colorado, no.... is it the best place in a 50-mile radius, quite possibly. This place is a top-notch version of exactly what you hope and expect from a small-town, short-order-cook restaurant. My family and I stopped here for lunch on the road and each had delicious, reasonably priced meals. We loved the club sandwich (think tall deli-stacked meats with cheesy, melts goodness), party melt, and onion rings (and the boardwalk fries were great, too). Stopped in Eads for the night, checked in at 8, asked about the restaurant next to it. They said it was good food but closed in 30 mins. We walked over and was greeted very nicely and had great service and food was very good. For being so late I kinda thought the salad bar would be a bit off but was all fresh, and the potatoes I was served with my meal were very fresh not a baked potato that was sitting in a warmer for hours. We stopped here after being on a lot of country roads. It was a blessing to find a place to eat. We were greeted by a young man so polite. The menu has a lot of choices for any taste. We ordered hamburgers and fries. Everything was made fresh to order and very quickly. I will say it was great. My hubby had the cherry pie with ice cream and said it was Amazing!!! Well heading East on the 96 through Colorado my friend and I were starving. There's not much open in that part of the world at 8 o'clock at night but we did come across JJ's Restaurant in Eads Colorado. We pulled in at 8:30 and they told us they close at 9 but that's enough time for us to grab something to eat my friend ordered the chicken sandwich I ordered the 8 ounce ribeye I was very pleasantly surprised the way the cook made it for me just the way I wanted it. While we waited for our entrees we went up to the salad bar and I was again surprised at how fresh the salad what I didn't find one piece of wilted lettuce everything was good and plentiful. So my steak arrived I look at it I cut into it and it is cooked to Perfection and nice medium with a pink Center I will say that it was very good came with green beans ,a nice fresh roll and a baked potato. The staff were friendly the cook was friendly overall it was a good experience if you're in Dads Colorado and you need something to eat stop by JJ's Restaurant. read more

If your travels take you through Eads, CO, the best place to be is JJ's. It's good food, good people, if you aren't looking for a full meal the pies can't be beat. We stop there on our way to Denver from Texas on Hwy 287. We wouldn't go any where else. read more
