What a great find in a small town with little to offer in food. This place was so nicely decorated with such nice seating, tables and booths. Has a full bar that was also well done with the elegant theme that had been set with the dinning area. Staff was super friendly and made sure their guest were taken care of. On top of this the meals were prepared to the highest degree of culinary excellence. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Our group had a great meal that we will remember for a long time. Meals were also very big, prices were very fairly priced. This place had it all. Although we aren't drinkers other groups that ordered drinks had wonderful looking orders that showed their bar was also producing top notch orders. I have included pics. First off, I'd give the ambience a 20/10 - this is likely the nicest restaurant in town! It's very clean, open, and inviting - I loved the decor and all the custom wood work. Before coming we were told the food wasn't what you'd expect for Mexican food, but I knew we wanted to give it a try. The chips and salsa were good and flavorful, but my meal definitely lacked luster. The tamale was 90% masa and very thick, it was also covered in red sauce. I knew I should have asked for green chili but thought I'd take my chance. The red sauce wasn't bad, but didn't have any flavor. I also had a taco which was pretty good, but could have also used some spices. Overall we've heard from the locals the food lacks spice and I'd agree, but I'd say given there are only a few restaurants in town this one is 150% your best option. I'd love to go back and try something else! Way to go - keep at it. read more

*writing on my friends account since I don't have one of my own* I was served a skirt steak instead of a ribeye steak and they didn't even offer a discount. Had to get management and was told that they just "get what's on the truck", which is a completely unacceptable response for false advertising and subpar steak meat. Enthusiastic 5 stars! For a place that we basically picked at random, we hit the jackpot. First off, the place is really nice inside, with beautiful wood tables and every seat cover looking brand-new. Then they bring you chips and salsa in a nice size bottle; for once in our lives, we didn't have to ask for more. The chips were good, and the salsa was even better. My wife and I loved our meals. The owners should teach classes on how to run a restaurant. Flawless visit! read more

I felt like we were walking into a barn, wide open, nothing to make you feel cozy and especially the bright lights, Heart Surgeons. Don't need lights this bright. I ordered a margarita, which could've been the most tasteless, cookie cutter, premix I've ever had. The salsa might have been alive at one time, but with the extra added water, they drowned every bit of hope out of it. I asked for extra chopped cilantro just to try and bring a little taste to it. I ordered the carne asada, rare; it was not. I understand it's a thin cut but I have had it rare before. There was no love in this food. As for the waiter, he took the order, but he didn't know enough about his menu to discuss substitutions. He seemed experienced but he had no idea how to bring personality and pizzazz to his table. The atmosphere, the food, the service, and the lack thereof - all left me drained of the dining experience we should have had. read more

Brand new place that is amazing. We were traveling and told this just opened a few days ago. Best Mexican food I've had in some time and I love good Mexican food. Chips and salsa to start are perfect. Chips have great flavor and right amount of crispness and salsa has great flavor. I had carnitas and my wife had chicken enchiladas. Both were amazing. Crispy exterior on carnitas with guacamole Portion were also beyond expectations more than enough food for second meal. Topped it off with gigantic flan also excellent. Amazing fajitas, and the salsa they serve with the nachos are one of the best we had. Glad we stopped to eat here while on a road-trip.

Stopped for lunch. I had the chicken fajita salad. Requested the lettuce tomato and sour cream on the side and it was perfect. Hubby had beef enchilada and a beef taco and it was all hamburger and a bit flavorless. He was glad he got some sour cream on the side. Service was amazing and quick. I have gone to this restaurant a handful of times to drink and never got ID. I went and they harassed me with calling the cops because I didn't have my ID on me at the time. Instead of the guy just simply telling me he yelled in front of everyone. All the employees were laughing and making fun of the situation.
