Too expensive for the quality of food they serve. It used to be good but has gone downhill. There's no consistency on the making of the food. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not. You never know. Sometimes tortillas are old and it's just isn't with it to me anymore. read more

Very humble establishment with extremely good food. There is an indoor eating area, but it feels 'more better' to eat under the roof at a picnic table. Lucy's has the feel of a food truck and the menu of a restaurant. M had the r #1 rolled tacos and I had the #3 chili rellenos. Both were excellent. Food was decent. Felt overcharged; or possibly we were charged for an abundance of sour cream that we ordered, but didn't receive. Will definitely try again with a simpler order. Driving through Lamar today and was badly in need of a good breakfast burrito. Lucy's didn't disappoint, I ordered the bacon burrito...fairly large, cost me about 8 bucks. The burrito was a little on the dry side but they provided two kinds of salsa...I opt'd to try the green and it was delicious. The only negative was the burrito was excessively greasy once I got to the bottom, it was a bit much but still tasted good. I will definitely return if I'm ever passing through Lamar again. read more

A great stop for tacos!! You can order at the drive thru or at the walk-up window, and they have both outdoor and indoor seating - there is also a nice clean bathroom in the indoor area. Between us, we tried the spicy chicken tacos, barbacoa taco, and adovada taco, as well as the steak nachos and burrito with ground beef - everything was delicious! The menu has all the tacos listed with lettuce and cheese, but you can get them with cilantro and onion instead - very tasty! Salsas were also good. The jicama drink was great, too, or you can also get canned sodas. All in all, a great meal with friendly service! read more

I lived in San Diego for awhile - home of the California burrito - and when I saw it on the menu I was tempted, but am so glad I stuck with the carne asada. You know how you know something is delicious??? When it needs very little extra. This burrito was huge and was under $7. It came packed full of carne asada, guac, and pico. I asked for a side of sour cream. Legit heaven The carne asada was so juicy, flavorful and tender and the guac and pico made just the perfect additions, this burrito is so worthy! Definitely one of the best carne asada burritos I have ever ate. Very large burrito at any price. But the price was more than reasonable.
