Burgers are good. Beer is plentiful. The place is loud as heck, that's the only downside.

Great customer service, right off the bat. It's funny but the worse the economy gets the better places with great customer service will do. Back to JJ's - k, the skirts are small, but this isn't Hooters so it's not a distraction. I had a Chicken Club, excellent, huge portion for a sandwich, almost to much, chicken was cooked properly - the cook knows how to handle themselves. They do have beer even though I didn't partake it looked like a great selection. I am prediciting that this will be UCA fav and reduce some of the volume from Old C's if it hasn't already. We visited there on Fat Tuesday, mardi gras. I ordered a long island ice tea which came out looking like lemonade? WTH was that? There was minimal alcohol in the drink. That has also happened at Ruby Tuesdays in Conway, so I think the businesses either take the dry county thing seriously? Or, they think we are too stupid to know if our drink is mostly mixer and no alcohol b/c we live in a dry county. read more

Pretty busy place. The bartender talked me into purchasing a bucket of 5 beers for $10, and he popped the top off of everyone of them....didn't care for that but it didn't ruin my night. Never tried the food, but I've heard the burgers are good, just chatted with some Arkansans while enjoying a cold one. read more

Dropped in for lunch on our way from Memphis to OKC after reading the reviews. It's a quick 7 minutes off I-40 into Downtown Conway. Place is nice enough- easy parking- very friendly staff- lots of TVs with sports & news. We usually like to sit at the bar because of the TVs and our bartender was friendly & very helpful with the menu & knowledgeable in regards to the draft beers. We ended up ordering JJ's World famous burger- I ordered mine medium as menu day they cook them MW. " world famous" comes with cheese, thick grilled onions, L,T & their " special sauce which she said was similar to a spicy thousand island. I went for it with house made O rings. Burger came out & although it was close to Medium , it just wasn't very flavorful or juicy. Not sure this is freshly made burgers ( maybe frozen) but a little salt & pepper while cooking would add flavor. Special sauce was nowhere to be seen on burger but she did bring a soufflé cup of a white mayo w/ seasons that may have been the "special sauce. Either way it want on the burger. Bun would have been better if it were fresher , buttered & grilled. It fell apart as if it were old. Most of the food I saw coming out of the kitchen looked very good & I certainly my will be back to try again. Left brain had the Monday special Siracha Burger & loved it, although his bun too was a disappointment we had a few beers & played a few rounds of Golden Tee and they decided to try their " home brews ". They have multiple offerings and I especially liked the wheat with a touch of raspberry- this would be a good summer beer( although it's February). Pale ale was Lao good & she told us the brewery is in Russellville. We will definitely be back- hospitable, fun, great selections of beers & liquors and good food read more

This place has the tastiest burgers. They are enormous, juicy, and full of flavor. They also have a lot of beers on draft and bottles. I am a big fan particularly when they offer live music. read more

The chicken strips are very good. Fresh-cut fries are nicely seasoned. Burgers are nicely done. Sports on the TVs, waitresses and bartenders are awesome and easy on the eyes ;-). read more

Stopped in while waiting on my dinner party around the block. Sit at the bar and sampled some of the vast selection of craft beers they had on tap(they also have all the basic domestics). I had 3 different offerings that were all good . All three bartenders behind bar were very knowledgeable and each made a point of introducing themselves (Hillary, Richard, and Marissa). Place had a really good vibe in a nice small downtown setting. Only reason not 5 stars is that I didn't get to sample food menu which I will the next time I'm in Conway. read more

It's an OK location, a bit small compared to others and the staple guests were all old mid life crisis types. Went there on a Monday for live music but they had football on instead which was unexpected since they advertise live music every night. The bar tender went out of his way to make us feel welcome which was nice. The girls wear short skirts and were mostly good looking which makes sense in a city with 3 colleges. Not many younger guests though. There seems to be a karaoke setup too. Prices were a bit better than average on drinks. Outside area for smokers has a tv so good for them. Parking is alright but police are creeping. A couple of other joints are walking distance. read more

Went there last night with friends. Good burger & other menu choices, good live music, solid service. A rocking 3 piece band called Twentywest with drums and guitars playing great tunes - love live music. Be warned - if you're there for a quiet evening drinking coffee, a Friday night at JJ's probably isn't for you. Even if the band wasn't playing, the piped in music and conversations keep the place loud. As an older guy, the youngsters in the place made us feel welcome and I liked the combo of a good band, good beer, and a great burger. My pal and I happened upon this place randomly. The food is very good! I had a veggie wrap, which was completely satisfying, nice and hot and dripping with yummy veggie juice. The fries were excellent, too, and my friend loved her cheeseburger. Our wait person was super. Her name was Tatyanna, and she was taking care of customers singlehandedly She was outgoing, pleasant, competent and friendly. The music was great--classic rock--with the volume at a perfect level to be able to hear conversation. I would have given JJ's five stars but for one odd policy. They keep coins instead of giving you exact change. For example, if your bill is $15.60 and you give them $16, they keep the coins. I had not encountered this before. Tatyanna was very apologetic about it. I wonder if this is a coming trend. read more

We really love the food and atmosphere at JJ's. We've also had very good service. I usually order the turkey sandwich and it never disappoints. The fried pickles, fried banana peppers, and fried jalapeños are all amazing. My family also enjoys the Mac n cheese, chicken wraps, and Philly cheesesteak. The only downfalls are waiting for a table right beside the door to the smoking area and when you get seated too close to the speakers and amps on the stage when the live music is played. Otherwise I would recommend JJs for good food and a good time. read more

Went yesterday 9/15/16 and Tab came out to $24 and i paid with $40. Only after i left i realized i was given back $7 by the waitress. This is not the first time this has happend, i jave been given wrong change a few times here as if the waitress think we wont realize. I will not be coming back, your employees are shady and greedy. Good, solid, inexpensive for the quality (especially the food) that you get here. It is a slightly older crowd as other reviewers have noted that patronize here. What they actually mean is that most of the crowd is above the age of 25 (the horror!). But that is definitely not a bad thing--Conway needs a place that's not infested with rabid frat boys that are ready to throw down ultraviolence at the slightest of incite. My only complaint here would be this chain's veiled aspirations at "breast-aurant". WARNING: It does get loud here if theres's a band here, and the bands are usually of low quality. (If anybody from JJ's is reading this, please stop with the bands or lower their volume so people can converse. It's annoying and I usually leave to go elsewhere when there's a band.) My husband and I love JJ's. We went there tonight. Their hours online say they are open till midnight so we go in at 9:30 and our server Mackenzie tells us that they close at 10 so we needed to hurry up and order. No big deal. We normally wouldn't of came in 30 minutes till close. We planned on being quick since I am a restaurant manager and understand wanting to get off work. Mackenzie was our server and we could tell that she was super disappointed that we were there. It was hugely annoying since we were going to rush already and we normally tip really well. We order our food after being rushed and then decide to tell her to make it togo and she tells us that that is perfect for her. She doesn't bring us the waters that we ordered along with our beer and then 10 minutes later asks us if we want those waters to go. Terrible way to treat guests. Then a table comes in and sits behind us. She tells them that they need to hurry as well and they were so uncomfortable that they left. We overheard the manager ask her why they they and she said she didn't know. Highly disappointed in the service since we come in there several times a month. Don't rush paying guests. You close at 10 on Sundays, not 930. We're not an inconvenience and very easy to wait on. We also never leave bad reviews. Next time we are in, we're going to ask to not have her as our server. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! We ordered and received 2 teas and a cheese dip appetizer- but then our waitress never came back to take our entree order. She went to every table that circled us but even after 25 mins of sitting there, she still did not come to take our order. She had a total of 3 tables, no excuse! Full of Conway-in-ites- but a great place to eat and hang out if you don't mind a huge crowd.

This was our first visit to JJ's and let me say it was OUTSTANDING! We had to be in Conway for the afternoon and thought we would check out the live music and take in some dinner while in town. We received EXCELLENT service at the bar while waiting (not very long) for our table and the $1.99 margaritas were DELICIOUS! The buffalo chicken salad and the cheeseburger salad were OUT OF THIS WORLD in flavor and portion and our server was constantly smiling and attentive to our every need! We live in Little Rock, but it will be more than worth the drive to come back to JJ's and enjoy everything again! Can't wait to try more of the menu! See you soon! :) read more
