We happened upon this place while visiting our son. The service was fast, and the people were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend. Fresh food, where you can design your own meal. The service was also great, and they have eat in and take out options.

The food is great. The service is great. Juan was wonderful, friendly, welcoming... and had all the information that I asked questions about, very delicious food... tasted so fresh. You could taste every ingredient. It was really nice atmosphere; really really happy with this place... it's actually the best restaurant that I've been to in a few years. That's the truth. Definitely will be back in... & I recommend highly.

So listen. I just got off work, and I sure didn't want to cook today. So I was looking for something healthy and saw this big one get one free offer . So I ordered it! I definitely loved loved loved the aesthetic packaging! And the food from the first bite on to the last bite was absolutely delicious! The chimmichuri sauce was fantastic! I'm definitely going to be a big back and ordered another BOGO bowl for tomorrow! Haha! Don't judge me!!

We live in the neighborhood and we're very curious what was going on while constructing the "new concept". After reading the reviews we had to check out. What a wonderful change to the sit down experience of JJ's Fresh. We started off with a wonderful tostada shrimp appetizer. Our entrées were just as yummy. The lovely young lady who served us was very delightful and attentive. They were out of the desert we wanted but brought as a yummy little chocolate treat. I almost forgot they gave us a lovely little starter appetizer to try too. Overall very impressed. We will definitely be returning. If u haven't tried the dine in experience you must.

They have remodeled and now have a beautiful modern comfortable space. The food is delicious with a lot of flavors. I enjoyed the falafel with hummus, tzatziki and pita. It hit the spot. They have many other mouthwatering menu options.

I always location when I am going to the laundromat and I decided to give it a try. I missed the lunch rush thank God - I got spicy Mexican rice or with tofu on top. There is very deep but they don't fill it with much. For $13 I got tofu bowl. The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is a tofu isn't made an advance and it takes extra five minutes however they don't tell you get to the checkout area; and the flavored water that is $2 for a cup the dispenser is broken. The inside is very small they're only 7 tables inside and three tables outside. I am unsure if I will be back here; But it's good to try! 8/10 I definitely recommend

Excellent fresh food from scratch, just like the name says. This place is delicious! Everything taste like you're having a meal from you abuela's kitchen! If you want something fresh and free of seed oils, this is your place.

Food was very fresh and very well made. The food was super tasty. The staff was very helpful. They have a good variety of choices for your bowl. On the expensive side but worth it. Their house sauce is delish too.

With that said, the food was excellent and there's a ton to choose from - it's easy to get overwhelmed, but the thing I enjoyed the most was the service and how sweet our server was (I forgot her name, but she was always so sweet and patient with our family). There were tons of folks eating mofongo so I'm sure that's a fan favorite here. We tried a few appetizers, juices, rice and beans, and shared a large platter that had multiple options for the family since it was our first visit and we didn't know what to try first. The tostones rellenos de churrasco (skirt steak stuffed fried green plantains) were delicious and come with five little cups and a dipping sauce that I'm pretty sure was mayo/ketchup. They also put a little PR flag on top which my kids enjoyed playing with. This ended up being my main meal because I wasn't that hungry, and it was the perfect bite of crispy, salty, and creamy with the dipping sauce. We also tried another appetizer that I didn't try, alcapurria de carne, which comes with two rolls cut in half (husband enjoyed it) and the Assorted Pal Campo which comes with chicharon, fried yuca, chicharron de pollo, tostones, fried cheese topped with a sweet guava sauce (that my daughter was not a huge fan of - I would ask for it on the side next time), and sausage. Definitely a heavy meal - and I felt like I needed to eat salad for the next two days straight after this meal - but it was tasty. Next time I'll ask for a side of cucumbers or something to break up all of the fried elements, or order something that comes with slaw/veggies.

Portions are ginormous. Grilled Caesar salad (1/5) - tasted like salad in a bag from grocery store. Beans did not belong. Dressing was over powering. Octopus (3.5/5) - mole sauce was smoky and delicious! Octopus itself was rubbery and dry. Tasted previously frozen. Hamachi crudo (3/5) - fish was fresh! Leche de tigre was not freshly made. Instead of fresh squeezed lime, it tasted like lime juice from one of those plastic green lime shaped bottles at grocery store. Short rib (4/5) - solid short rib but nothing unique Smoked pork belly (2/5) - Pork belly tasted like box from Trader Joe's. Skin was tough. Why they market as yakiniku?? It was just a teriyaki sauce. Cornbread was from a box and soaked in sugar. Cocktails overly sweet. Also tasted premixed. Glasses looked dull and needed a second wash. Ambiance: our reservation was at 6:45pm on MDW. It was completely empty. It felt like being the first ones at a club because you didn't want to pay cover. Table decor was noticeably cheap (plastic dollar tree flowers, plastic decorations, etc) Bathroom was disgusting. Felt like a gas station. No paper towels??? I had to use a Dyson air dryer to dry my hands. After paying for a $400 meal, can I at least get a paper towel to dry my hands? Overall, feels like a club and tastes like a club. Not upscale restaurant. Everything looked a little better after a couple drinks. Without drinks, this place fails to deliver in food and ambiance.
