This place has a very similar vibe to Chipotle, only its much more quaint and better tasting food! I absolutely love the Lebanese/Middle Eastern mixed with the Mexican. I got a Mexican bowl with chicken that was fresh off the grill. The options for toppings and sauces was refreshing, and to finish it off I had some chimichurri. This was one of the first times Yelp let me down in Orlando (the other being Pizza Bruno!). I pulled up to the depressing storefront in a Winn Dixie parking lot and was hoping to find some sort of hidden gem. It was noon on a Friday and I was the only customer - not surprised after my experience that they wouldn't be busy at lunch time! I waited 5 minutes before one of the 8 employees even acknowledged me. I tried a steak bowl with chimichurri sauce, rice, and beans. The black beans were good but that's the only compliment I can give. The steak was SO dry and tough - I found it inedible. I eat at Bolay once a week and while I prefer locally owned places I can't eat the cold grizzle I was served here over the delicious juicy red centered steak they have at Bolay. The bowl had a sickenly sweet taste I can't place. I'm not sure if the chimichurri made it sweet or the beans but either way the bowl was cold, sweet with dry tough steak. I threw out my bowl after a few bites and headed to wawa for a sub across the street. read more

I recently discovered this place a couple months ago and can't stop eating here. Everything is so fresh and tasty. The concept is like that of chipotle, but Mediterranean style. The steak is my favorite thing here and I would suggest getting everything you can on the bowl. I like getting the tabbouleh as my base but it can end up getting very watery so I'm going to try the Mexican rice and just adding the tabbouleh on top next time. This place is less than a mile from our house. Shame on us for not coming sooner. JJ is very friendly, and his food is terrific. I had the J-bouli Bowl with steak and my wife had the pita sandwich with steak. The atmosphere is very tasteful, rustic and inviting. I hope this place is very successful. So I drive down Curry Ford Road, and I tell myself that one of these days I am going to stop in here for lunch. Today was that day. Stopped in here today for a late lunch while I was running any errands. And it is a change from your ordinary burger/sub lunch. Being my first visit here, I took a moment to go over the menu. The employee working the counter was very friendly and took the time to go over the menu and any options. I decided to go with a bowl featuring the brown rice. But for some reason, my server filled my bowl with the Lentil rice. I was going to say something, but since this was my first visit here, I decided to just go ahead and try what was served. I decided on the pork with black beans, Cheddar Jack cheese, and Spring Mix Lettuce. With a drink (Diet Coke), my total came up to just a little over $10.00. My Mex Bowl was delicious. There are several toppings and hot sauce available, but I decided to keep it simple so I could get the taste of the products in my bowl. It was good. And the next time I am here, I will try try several of the different toppings available. When you order , you pick your plate. It can be a burrito (flour or wheat), salad, the Mex Bowl with brown rice or Spicy Fiesta rice, a white or wheat pita sandwich, a Tabbouleh bowl, or a Mid East bowl. Then choose your grill selection. Either chicken, steak, pork or veggie is available. The you can select from several other toppings for your bowl, salad, or sandwich. Soda is available as fountain drink. Bottled water, beer, and wine are also available. The dining room is small. But there is plenty of seating. And outdoor tables are also available. There is also a counter top with bench seating along the front window. So you can watch the world go by while you eat. The decor is wood and brick, with a concrete floor. It is not fine dining, but the dining area is kept clean and spacious. The tables are placed well far apart from each other. And I like the trash can. A metal trash can with the lid. Like one of those your father used to haul out to the curb the night before trash collection. No thrills here! Catering is available, and the hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 daily. I had driven by JJ's Grille multiple times before, but I had never stopped in. Based on the name and logo, I assumed it was an American/burger place so I didn't realize what I was missing. When my husband suggested Chipotle for dinner (again) last night, I took it upon myself to see if there was something similar close by. I stumbled upon a review for JJ's, and I am so happy I did! It is similar to Chipotle, but they also have Mediterranean/Lebanese options. I got the J-Bouli Bowl and my husband got the Mex Bowl. Both were fantastic, but the J-Bouli bowl really blew my away! It was exactly what I wanted: light, fresh, and healthy. The bowls are pretty sizable too, so I am currently counting down the hours until I can eat my leftovers for lunch. One last thing to note--When I asked what a J-Bouli bowl was, the person behind the counter asked if we had ever been there before. We told him that we hadn't, and he seemed genuinely pleased that we were trying it out for the first time. He talked through all of the options and ingredients and gave recommendations on his favorites. Once the rush slowed down, he even poked his head out on the patio to see how we were liking it. Wow delicious. Stopped here during work break for something new, I chose it based on reviews. I got the gyro with the mushrooms which I thought was crazy and it was so damn good. The tzatziki was also delish and homemade. My husband got a bowl with rice and beans but I forget the meat he got. He said it was just ok. I this place. The food is well made, unique, and tasty. When you walk in the door, your greeted like family. The staff is small, but consistent. They have watched our son grow up since they've opened, and they always treat him extra special. I'd challenge you to move beyond all Mexican or Mediterranean ingredients and mix it up. This used to be my favorite place to eat in This area a couple years ago when I believe they were a newer business. Back in the day, they had beautiful, genuinely nice girls working here who would make a very nice entree. Now they have young dumb kids working who short you on rice, beans, meat, guacamole, on a $12 bowl, not to mention they don't want to be there. Sad to see a place decline like this. This place is great! The rice is on point, the tortillas are on point! I do wish they offered pinto beans or refried beans, and maybe a queso or salsa option, but other than that- better than chipotle by a wide margin!
