But for authentic Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or SE Asian products, I would just go to one of several excellent dedicated Asian food markets in NJ. There are also few gourmet/epicurean global culinary products, but then again this isn't that kind of store, and is much more down home. The store feels a bit dingy and the aisles can be cramped, but I do like browsing and coming across interesting or less familiar items I can incorporate into my cooking, try new delicacies, or finding specific ingredients or spices called for in certain dishes I'm making. Prices are reasonable and not subject to the typical "imported/special ethnic foods" upcharge at a Wegmans or whatever for certain products that are very basic and cheap in its country of origin.
