Food Fair Wholesale Fresh Market - A wall of bulk rice bags - big selection!

What a great food store. A ton of fruits and vegetables, meats, fish and dry goods and condiments…read more Definitely a great ethnic food store. Prices are reasonable and I love that you can get a lot of things in bulk. When going for your first time be prepared to spend a while as this place is huge. Also, a little sidenote, it's located in a strip mall which has a lot of traffic. Once you enter into where the sign is, you have to walk to the back of the building and you'll find the store on the left.

This is a supermarket that carries a good variety international grocery products. Great selection…read moreof spices of all sorts, and many ethnic foods and ingredients that you wouldn't be able to find in regular markets. In addition to fresh produce and shelf goods, there are also seafood, meat, and deli departments, as well as baked goods. The Latin American section is the most extensive (catering to the local clientele), followed by Caribbean - I'd come here for specialty items for those cuisines. There is also a small Polish section (but no other Eastern European stuff). Some Indian. However the Asian section is dismally sad, and has only tepid mainstream brands like Roland, Geisha, and Kikkoman (OK Kikkoman soy sauce is the best tho!). Not even good sesame oil or noodles. But for authentic Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or SE Asian products, I would just go to one of several excellent dedicated Asian food markets in NJ. There are also few gourmet/epicurean global culinary products, but then again this isn't that kind of store, and is much more down home. The store feels a bit dingy and the aisles can be cramped, but I do like browsing and coming across interesting or less familiar items I can incorporate into my cooking, try new delicacies, or finding specific ingredients or spices called for in certain dishes I'm making. Prices are reasonable and not subject to the typical "imported/special ethnic foods" upcharge at a Wegmans or whatever for certain products that are very basic and cheap in its country of origin.
