Revisited JJ with a brake job. Done very fast, well, and cheap. After the job, JJ himself test drove it with me to review the work. He had a manager last year that was not the best, but this has been fixed: the manager is gone and better people are on board. Still highly recommend. Finally, JJ does Smog Checks now at a great price. Glad I found his shop. He's a rare breed of mechanic. read more

garages are all the same right? not so with jj's. the owner is super nice; he took the time to explain the problem my car was having and how he planned to fix it. (even though the shop was busy he took the time to answer my questions) speaking of the shop; this place is easy to find and super clean. I mean no problem with my wife or daughter using the restroom, you can wear white and not get dirty clean. the staff and quality of work is superior to other local shops. i recommend this shop! read more

I went to JJ's auto service today and purchased 4 new tires. I was at a different auto shop ~ 1 year ago and was informed by the mechanics that all my pressure sensors were bad abs need replacement. They wanted $300 dollars to replace all 4. I declined that service. Today, I told the mechanic at JJ's auto service to replace all 4 sensors but the mechanic checked the sensors and only one was bad. Only one was replaced saving me a lot of money. Finding an honest auto shop is rare these days but they still exist. Thank you JJ's auto service for your honesty and professional service. read more

I was originally quoted $10,000 by Kia for my engine. JJ's was able to rebuild my engine plus more AND detailed my car for under $5,500. I am eternally grateful for this team. I appreciate that JJ's offered its services through this website to fix the problem, but when I had alerted (at the time and place) they were not so helpful, even questioned me if they had actually done what I say they did. I went to get my sunroof and electronic locks fixed. The locks now (after getting them fixed) only lock if certain doors are closed and when they took off the roof to repair the sunroof, my backseat lights became loose and I wasn't able to push them on. They were very resistant to admitting that they messed them up. After going back and forth with them, I decided I'd rather just pay someone else. But, the main point of the story. A little over a year later, my sunroof has come undone. A piece feel off when I opened it. I RARELY use it. Maaaaaybe once a month and when this happened it made me want to revisit and update this review, but maybe this random loose falling piece has nothing to do with them, but it did make me want to clear up my original review and thank JJ's for offering to fix AFTER I had already asked them to do it. I honestly don't know how this place has so many stars. I had to wait hours for something that should have only taken a half an hour. JJ was rude and not helpful at all. He seemed like he didn't care. I had to leave my car and i left it as early as possible, but i could tell that they didn't even start to attempt to work on my car until i showed up again. I'd call to check in on my car he would rush me off the phone and not answer any of my questions, so i finally just came back and they were blaming the insurance company for not being able to do anything, but when i called the insurance company, i discovered that the insurance company was trying to help, but JJ wasn't responding to them either. When i talked to him, he made me send the information to the insurance company myself. (And my insurance responded super quick and gave approval fast). Once again i felt like JJ didn't care about my car issues. 8hrs later at closing i finally got my car back, but i had to come back for the paperwork. When i came in to sign and get a copy, JJ practically threw the paper at me and said "hre!" And i asked if i needed to sign anything and he said no and walked away talking on the phone. I feel like the mechanic staff seemed nice and maybe i caught JJ on two bad days, but he was rude with me and not helpful at all. I was not satisfied with him at all and i do not plan to come back here. I wish i had a more positive experience like apparently many of the other people who have posted reviews, but my experience was terrible unfortunately. Update: my check engine light actually went on 4 days after JJ "fixed the problem" and the issue was not actually fixed at all. I had to take my car to a different mechanic and they said it was the same issue that JJ initially told me, but they said it looked like it wasn't even touched. I had to get my car fixed by the other mechanic. This time it was actually fixed. So i do not take back my comment of JJ's not being helpful. It was more of a headache than anything. I was not going to post the update, but i did see that JJ responded, so i decided i would post the update. I did not want to take my car back to JJ's because i did not trust the service since i wasted an entire day there and the experience was so negative. read more

highly recommend for smog check services. brought two of my cars here and completed smog test in less than 20 mins each time i brought a car in. also is a STAR certified place so that was a plus. read more

Poor place JJ's auto service if they see you have a euro car they want to stick you with a high bill. Took my BMW 325 ci for a overheating problem. Even before I said anything about my car they automatically recommended I changing and getting a new radiator and fan clutch set up. When I had already replaced this with new parts how can they not tell idk must not have much experience with euro cars. I told them what I need as I was aware of the issue and wanted to see what they would say they wanted to have me replace the whole cooling system when all I needed was the bottom extension bracket. Instead the thought they could get away with shotgunning problems thinking I would just say yes do what you have to do, beware folks they pry on the weak and vulnerable. After telling them what I needed (bottom extension bracket) they said oh your right. Still my car didn't not come back functional they said it was good and can be use as a daily driver. Not the case my car ended up over heating and cause head damage brought it back to them to have them repaired and they could not they said I have engine damage and then it would be a whole Nother bill when they're the ones who didn't fix my overheating problem and cause my engine to go under they just return my money they gave back a damaged car this is how they pride themselves in their work I would not recommend this place stay away especially if you have a euro car. JJ, the owner, is very helpful and generous with his time, he took the necessary measures to explain fully to me what was going on with car. He made sure that my problem was resolved and even followed up with me after the fact! I went in thinking I needed an alignment on my car because it shifted to the left. He explained that there was nothing wrong wth the alignment and that my tires were balding and that it was very dangerous to keep driving them in the condition they were in! You can tell that he takes pride in what he does and that he genuinely cares for you as a customer. If he could, he wouldn't charge you for certain services.
